Guys, I'm calling because I want to panic with you.
I know we're a quarter way through the year and a lot of, you know, preface with injuries and it being early.
But honestly, guys, we've played the Angels twice.
We've played the Twins twice.
We've played the White Sox and we've played the Rockies.
That's almost 50% of our series going, you know, so far this year.
And to me, the schedule is the only reason why the Jays are not in the basement of the AL as a whole.
You know, the six games under 500 sounds kind of nice right now based on,
what I'm seeing on the field there.
We only have two more wins than the Angels, who are currently at the basement of the AL.
So, you know, obviously it's a long season.
I love the fact that there's 162 games in baseball, but it could be a lot worse right now, to be honest.
It feels, you know, at least six games out of 500 is doable.
I want to talk about VAR show quickly, if you guys don't mind.
Obviously, I want to preface by saying that catch late tonight was an outstanding play, classic VAR show.
um but in general um his reads don't seem to be as elite as they used to be obviously we have that that play in the third inning where he had a really bad read on that pop fly and it kind of allowed some i think it was the third inning where the run scored on that uh that looper um can you guys explain why that might be i mean he's he's further and further away from these injuries that have you know hampered him over the past kind of year or so but
I feel like that would, you know, for being further away from those injuries would help with your kind of fast twitch and your reads versus kind of having a diminished elite defensive player out there.
So, and then lastly, his swing, Kevin, maybe you can chime in on this.
I mean, obviously he's switched some of his swings a little bit this year.
It seems to me that he's like almost chopping at the ball more instead of, or I guess he's trying to get back to ball as quickly as possible, but
