Revolutionizing Ag Equipment: Behind the Scenes with Strobel, Terraplex, and Brandt
Thanks a lot. Thank you. Hey, well, good morning. I'm in west central Missouri this morning, and I'm visiting with my friend Brent Pearson of Pearson Farms. So, Brent, when I think about this year, only one word comes to mind, and it's extremes.

Revolutionizing Ag Equipment: Behind the Scenes with Strobel, Terraplex, and Brandt
It is. That is definitely a year of extremes. I remember being out here. We shot a video earlier this year, and it was raining, and it was wet when we were out here. And then, like you said, it just turned off dry. And you guys have a river on the backside, and somewhere in the middle, you guys had a flood as well.

One extreme to the next. And you guys are in the field cutting right now.

And Brent, just one thing I kind of want to talk about with products that you've used at Change. A lot of times when we think about Change, we think it has to be complicated and it has to kind of almost be over our heads. You guys made a change this year utilizing GrowPak AI and pretty simple. What was your response to that? What was your interaction with it?

Good deal, right? Get our micros, get our biologicals, and just be able to get it in the ground without a lot of extra work. Yeah, absolutely. Well, Brent, I'll let you guys get back in the field. I appreciate it, bud. Appreciate y'all.

What Is The Government Hiding From Us? (Ep. 2387)
Let's talk about misinformation and how much money is being spent on it. The Biden administration collectively has spent $267 million to combat misinformation. Look at the increase in spending from 2017 when just $316,000 was spent on it. It topped out in 2022 at $75.8 million.

What Is The Government Hiding From Us? (Ep. 2387)
The administration says, oh, we had to spend this money because so many people were saying things that were wrong about COVID. Well, yeah, and some of that came from the government.

What Is The Government Hiding From Us? (Ep. 2387)
FBI Director Christopher Wray has announced that he is going to be ending his tenure as the FBI director earlier than the end of his tenure term, which, again, is not surprising. As Donald Trump has said, he wants Kash Patel to head up the FBI in the new administration. David Spunt, live at the Justice Department with the breaking news for us. David.

The Instance 669: Bug Hunters
Hey, Scott and Bobby. This is John in Providence, Rhode Island. Long-time listener of The Instance. Maybe first-time caller. I can't remember. Maybe I called before. I don't remember. But it feels like it's 2007 again because... I'm playing WoW heavily again for the first time in years, and I'm listening to The Instance, and I just finished The Office again. That's unrelated.
The Instance: World of Warcraft Podcast
The Instance 669: Bug Hunters
I literally only play WoW because of The Instance. I wasn't a gamer in 2007. I tried World of Warcraft. I found so many toxic people, and I hated it, and I just quit. But at the time, I followed pretty much everything Veronica Belmont did at the time, and she was on an episode of The Instance and mentioned the AIE Guild. And I figured, well, let me try joining that guild and playing.

The Instance 669: Bug Hunters
And many years later, I had so much fun. For many years later, I had so much fun just playing WoW and questing with guildies and having them take me along on raids because I still kind of sucked at them. And I just built my love for WoW for so many years and then for gaming in general. And even when I fell off the WoW train, I still listen to The Instance up until the last episode.

And I'm just so overjoyed that the game that I love is back, and with this expansion particularly, I think, and that the podcast I love is also back along with it. So I just want to say thanks so much for bringing it back and for all the other great podcasts you do as well, but really have a quick mark against me. So thanks so much from Providence, Rhode Island, and hope you all have a great week.

Awesome. So my story is a bit of a three part story, but it goes all the way back when I was 13 years old. I lived in Pennsylvania and New Jersey at the time and I was in middle school and it was the very start of the school year. I was in art class and the teacher from across the hall runs in and tells my teacher to turn on the TV. So he did.

And it was the World Trade Center with smoke just spilling out of one of the towers. Moments later, we watched the second plane hit the second tower. And as a middle school kid, I certainly did not understand what was even going on. And I raised my hand to my teacher and I said, that's where my dad works. That's his office building. I'd been there a million times.

And he gave me a look, and that's when I started to realize how bad and serious this was. The rest of the day and the days after are a bit of a blur, but we found out, we know my dad was outside of the buildings when the plane hit, when the both planes hit. And he called home, and he left a voice message on the machine, and he told us how much he loved us and how things were really bad.

Um, he then went back in to help evacuate and save people that day. And he unfortunately was not able to get out himself or, uh, save himself. So things of course were very, very difficult for my family and many, many other families after that. But the giving and generosity that took place for my family and other nine 11 families was tremendous. was very, very incredible.

And that was the first time I saw giving and generosity at such an extreme level. And as a 13 year old kid, I, I knew I wanted to be able to give like that someday. Many years later, um, I met my wife, my beautiful wife, and we struggled with infertility for many, many, many years. And I, Then that giving and generosity came back into our lives again with love and support and prayers.

And even our company that we worked for paid for all of our infertility treatments. Wow. IVF, the works, close to 50 grand. And again, that giving and generosity blew us away. And then a miracle happened, and we had... A beautiful little girl, our daughter. Her name is Journey. We named her that because it was a journey to have her through IVF.

And then another miracle happened, and we are currently expecting our second in the new year. Wow. Again, yeah, we have one on the way. Fun. And it just... it just blew our minds. And again, that giving and that generosity that kept coming into our life time and time again, when we don't deserve it. And, you know, things are just, it's just amazing.

Yeah. He was the property manager of world trade too. And he knew everyone, he knew everyone in the building and he was just that light, that, that type of personality. Everyone would say, Hey Bobby, how are you? Hey, how are you? And we have a bit of a timeline of his morning and step-by-step and everything that, and we know people who he's helped, people who he saved and, and, and,

even though he didn't make it out, he got a medal from president Bush a couple of years after nine 11. And that was, it was very, it was very special. And we got to go to the white house and it was, it was beautiful.

Your Debt Should Make You Uncomfortable
Well, so I'm an hourly employee and I have an irregular income. So I've really kind of been struggling with a budget in the past. And I found out the other day that with my employer, I can set my paycheck to go into different accounts. So would it be a bad idea to... to basically set up to where I'm like a salary employee.
The Ramsey Show
Your Debt Should Make You Uncomfortable
Like I have $2,000 or whatever, every paycheck go into like my working account, my daily account. And then everything extra goes into like a high yield for a house. Or do you have any other advice for something like that?
The Ramsey Show
Your Debt Should Make You Uncomfortable
Yes. I guess whenever I just look at my whole paycheck with it being different month to month, I don't know why it just doesn't click with like, OK, I have this random amount of money left over. And so I guess that's kind of what I'm trying to overcome.
The Ramsey Show
Your Debt Should Make You Uncomfortable
No, I actually paid off all my debt in September. Okay, nice. So I'm completely debt-free. Cool. I make about $100,000 a year. Okay. Part of paying off my debt was I got a large settlement from my previous employer for a sale. So I have about $60,000 of that left over in savings. Some of that is going to be taxes, though.

And then, you know, I'm contributing right now 10 percent to retirement because I am trying to save for a house.
The Ramsey Show

Probably two. I mean, really, probably 15 would be generous.

So that'd be more towards 6,000 or six months, I mean.

Your Debt Should Make You Uncomfortable
um how long do you think it'll take you to save up the down payment that you want um well i'm just trying to save up big i guess um i know that in august i'll be getting a retention bonus as well okay um so that should be about half a year salary so between that and then another 1500 a month or so going into savings i i would assume by the end of next year i will be in a
