Chapter 1: Who are the guests and hosts featured in this episode?
Ron McGill has shown up. Thank you. I don't want to keep him waiting anymore. I think the last couple of weeks he's been rabid with rage, so I'm happy to see him less temperamental right now. What is behind you right now, Ron? In the office that you're in, what is the artifact that you're most excited about or that means something to you? Anything?
Nothing really. There's a cobra back there. Oh, there's Mike. Distinguished alumnus, University of Florida. Wow. Congrats.
Very proud of that. Congrats. Is that better? Like, where does that rank? The greatest of the honors that you have received in your career as an ambassador? Is it the Hot Dog Hall of Famer or is it a University of Florida thing?
Very close to each other, but I guess I'm going to have to give UF a little bit of a nudge on that one. That was something that I carried a huge chip on my shoulder because I never actually graduated from the school. So for them to give me a Distinguished Alumnus Award, which I think they've only given 150 out in the history of the school, that was pretty big for me.
How about the Changemaker Award at the Blue Gala just a couple of weeks ago?
Well, just having Mike Ryan be the emcee for that prestigious event just made that award that much more prestigious for me.
Ron, are you a Panthers fan? Because I haven't been able to get my Cuban friends over to this team. Tony, what?
Dan, I saw the start of the game, and then my kids started crying, and then I didn't watch.
My Cuban friends, I cannot persuade them to watch this sport. Listen, I love the Panthers, but only in person. Watching hockey on television for me is like watching soccer on television. It just doesn't do anything for me. But when I watch it in person, my gosh. You know, the same thing with NASCAR. You go to NASCAR, watching it on television, it's just a bunch of cars going in a circle.

Chapter 2: What is Mike Ryan's Talladega experience and what are 'buttholes' at the event?
Get up is not constructive criticism under any circumstances.
I won't put it in that category. I would say that he's a kid that can take criticism. I'm not saying this is constructive criticism, but I think he can take that type of tough love and treatment and is okay with it.
Maybe I'm wrong? I could be wrong. No, I think that you have some expertise here that you can help us understand Kawhi Leonard a little bit better than most, having been a champion with him. By the time he gets to you in Toronto, after whatever the betrayals were of the Spurs medical staff...
That Kawhi Leonard, when you talk about playing through injuries, we were marveling at this yesterday, was incapable of jumping. He won a championship playing only old man game. Could you notice, what story can you tell us from that that would give us the insides of, you have no earthly idea how hard it was for him to win the championship when he couldn't jump in an NBA finals game?
That's interesting. It is tough. And I said, I've seen Timmy play on one leg. And to go back to Joe Mazzola, Papa said way worse things to me in the past. Besides, get up is not that bad or that harsh. But Kawhi, to me, I said he was unbelievable during that run. And I know he was limping. I know he had one leg.
But to say he couldn't jump, I think, is a stretch because he definitely did dunk the ball. He dunked the shit out of Giannis one time. Like, it was serious where he was limping, but he still was getting to the rim, still dunked the ball.
yes i know he was he was hurt he was on one leg and to do that with that type of injury just showed how tough of a kid he is and you know people will give him a lot of slack because of his injuries in the past and it's a lot of negativity but he's fought through some injuries in the past and his serious and i think it makes him look bad because they don't release the injury or how the severity of the injury until after these series are over like the past couple of playoffs
We've seen, he's like, oh, he's injured. He might come back. And then after the series over, it's like, oh, he tore his ACL. It's like, you guys should announce that. Obviously, they want the other team to know because they want to fear them. But you're making the player look bad by not announcing that when it happens. But he's a kid that could fight through, you know,
He can fight through pain, and he's shown it and proven it before, so I never doubt him.
