Chapter 1: What are the current vibes around the Sixers?
17-6-5 on the season, shooting 40% from the field, 28 from three, and it looks like nothing he does is easy. Like every shot is a crazy fall away or out of rhythm. This isn't the Paul George that's finishing top five in MVP we saw five years ago. This isn't even the Paul George that could carry the Clippers. Thus far, for the 76ers. So he's got to be better.
I think Nick Nurse needs to make him a bigger part of the offense right now rather than running the stuff that they would run for Tyrese Maxey. Only it's McCain as the guy right there who has been awesome. But other than McCain, not a lot of shooting on this team. Not a lot of athleticism. The Sixers are 30th in offense. They're 29th in three-point percent. And they're 26th in makes.
And you look at the guys that are shooting them. Kyle Lowry is their... Best shooter outside of Gershon Yabusele right now. He's at 35% and can't do anything on the defensive end. He probably needs to go to the bench. Caleb Martin shooting 32%, which feels like a miracle because it looks like a spasm when he's shooting a three pointer. It does not look smooth at all. Eric Gordon, 29. He's old.
Paul George, 29. Maxie, 29. Oubre, 27. He had one good season, and now you're seeing why he was available the way he was. There's just not a lot of shooting out there. This is going to be a team that Embiid has to drag as far as they can go, and that's a scary proposition when he's still not healthy.
Yeah, to speak to that, I saw a Philadelphia fan tweet after the game. Normally, you have maybe one of these in a Sixers game. Kelly Oubre, hero ball. Gordon and Lowry, needing to retire. Dejected sloppy, in-bead game. Paul George, forgetting how to play basketball. Caleb Markel Foltz-Martin, which goes to what you were thinking about.
But in that game last night and over these last couple of games, it feels like you were getting them all. They're all happening. You know, Jared McGain is like the only bright spot from this Sixers team right now. It's bad. Embiid, 12-37 from the floor since returning. He's a minus 38 in 90 minutes. Yeah, he was getting some easy looks inside, like you said, Tess, last night.
But as that game went on, I don't know if that's fatigue setting in or what, like... The jumper, it looks like a mess mechanically. Everything is flat. There's no chance of it going in, some of these. And I think even more alarmingly, he can't create any separation on any of these guys, on the defenders. And defensively, he's maybe been even worse. So I get it.
He's playing himself into shape here, but... Like, they're 2-11 now, man. It's sort of getting late in a hurry despite how crappy the Eastern Conference is. So concerns all around here. Absolutely. They need these guys back and playing together. But still, I was joking with Trey before you got in here. I was like, you know, this whole vibes thing.
I was like, the Philadelphia 76ers, even when they're winning 50 games, feel like a bad vibes team to me somehow. It can be that way. They're the greatest vibes in the world. And so now when you start 2-11, it sort of spirals.

Chapter 2: What's wrong with Tyrese Haliburton?
There's a lot of guys who are playing good, but they just need to be in a different role. And somehow, even though they lack height, Jakob Pertl is, Awesome. Recently. He's a monster recently. He's on the greatest heater of his career over these last couple of games, the stats he's putting up. So I don't feel bad that I picked an over for this team to win 30 wins. I mean, they've all been hurt.
They've all been hurt. Even, you know, RJ Bear was hurt for a long time to start this season, so...
Yeah, good win. Good win.
Good win.
Let's keep it going here. We had the Bucs winning 101-100. You had a late Giannis block on Shen Goon. And then Lillard had a beautiful little layup at the end as the go-ahead bucket to snap the Rockets' five-game win streak. It was a fun game. We watched a lot of this ending on playback last night. And then Dyson Daniels had a game-winning block. Or steal. Call it a stock. It was a bit of both.
As the Hawks beat the Kings 109-108 in Sacramento. So, Trey, you got to start here. More impressive block last night. Giannis' recovery, because Van Vliet sort of got by him, and then Giannis came and got Shangoon. Or Dyson Daniels stripping Fox there.
What you got? That's a tough question. Tough question. Giannis basically saved the Bucs from being in the bad vibes question. Yes, he did. Dyson Daniels stripped the reigning player of the week. Tough to say. I'm going to think. I don't know. I don't know. I think I'm going with Giannis here. I think I'm going with Giannis, even though the Rockets still should have won this game.
They ran a beautiful play for Alper and Shengun, just a little too long on the pass, and he was having trouble catching the ball. Meanwhile, Dyson Daniels, there's questions. Was it a foul? It was close enough. He got the superstar defender reputation, which is interesting because De'Aaron Fox is an actual star.
He didn't get the call at home in the clutch, and this guy's one of the greatest clutch players. Yeah, I don't know. The Bucs were down six. With 3.30 left in this one against the Rockets, and the Rockets just could not score. Their crunch time offense, I think they went one for their last eight.

I do want to know, this could be really what you got, what's the better Dyson Daniels nickname? Is it the Human Vacuum or just the Vacuum being Dyson Daniels? Or is it the Great Barrier Thief that, you know, Larry Nance was pushing and people are starting to run with, even though we have the Great Barrier Wreath, Duop Wreath, in Portland. Who's... Also Australian. We have that?
Yeah, that's apparently the thing.
Yeah, it was a big thing online when the Blazers and Hawks were playing who were fighting over the nickname. But do you have a preference? Great Barrier Thief or the Human Vacuum?

Chapter 4: What were the surprising results from last night's games?
You are absolutely right. I am absolutely leaning vacuum in this one.
TK, you're a man of nicknames.
Yeah, but I can't stop thinking about Dyson Daniels with Guy Fieri's hair. Somebody get Photoshop and I probably go with the vacuum, too. It makes me laugh. And we can't be stealing a nickname from Dwap Reef. Everybody knows he's called the Great Barrier Reef. I think it's fun to say the Great Barrier Thief. Will it stick? We'll see.
Okay. I know our own guy, Lee Lee, obviously did a little sit-down with Dyson Daniels down at the Fortress, or at least in practice facility. He asked him about it. He liked it. Dyson Daniels was a big fan of the Great Barrier Thief. Yeah, that's right. He was a big fan. He also called himself a defensive playmaker, which I thought was pretty cool. That's true. And he is, and he has been. He is.
I also got to give some props because I shit on him all the time. DeAndre Hunter? DeAndre Hunter. Yes. He had 24 points.
He was awesome.
He scored five straight in this very close game down the stretch. He hit a pull-up jumper on the baseline. That was big. And then he hit a wide-open three because Fox was at the other end complaining about a no-call and just refused to get back into play.
Key play of the game.
Yeah, it was huge. But Hunter knocked it down, so I give him some props because I always crap on him.

Chapter 5: How is the NBA landscape changing with player injuries?
No, he was not.
It was to Lindy.
It was to Lindy.
Lindy Waters. Just like saying his name. It's a great name. As he passed it, he's literally pointing. I'm trying to pass the other dude. You're kind of in the way. And so Payton caught it and shot it. But it was for Lindy. And I was also a little surprised that Steph didn't try and let it rip. I know there was bodies around him. It was like triple teamed. Sort of, but he got some space. I know.
Yeah.
You almost hear at that point, it's like, yeah, Steph, if you got five guys on you, we still like your chances maybe more. But he's trying to make the right play.
He missed one like 10 seconds earlier. Had a good look with 12 seconds left. And then, yeah, he was 100% passing it to Lindy Waters. But Gary Payton intercepted it. The pass was coming to him, too. Like, why wouldn't he take it? But what do free throws do? Win games, right? Warriors 9 of 19 at the line, Clippers 16 of 18 at the line, and literally everything else is equal.
It all comes down to free throws. So I think more surprising win, it's got to be the Clippers. You don't expect the Warriors to lose it at the line, though they stink at it this year.
They're the worst team in the NBA right now. Yeah. Under 70%. Hmm. Doesn't seem right.

Chapter 6: What defensive strategies are the Magic employing?
That was a guy that would get a random contract. Yeah, because he was decent. He was a Grizzly last year, isn't that right?
Thunder. Oh, Thunder. Yeah, Grizzly the year before.
Grizzly and Thunder.
Oh, yeah, right. He was the year before. Well, yeah, he played for both teams. I guess he's getting a little older. He's getting a little older, but still.
What about Dwight Howard?
He's got to fight Shaq in a ring or something like that. Moses Brown.
He's busy dancing. All right, that's enough on Moses Brown. He will probably get an opportunity. Kingsguard De'Aaron Fox and Magic Forward Franz Wagner have been named the NBA Players of the Week for week four of the NBA season. Star Fox, he averaged over 40 points per game for the week. That's not bad. You know. The team's record, 2-2.
But, man, 40-7 he's averaging with a great shooting percentage. And then Wagner posted 31-7-6 in three wins for Orlando. So really good stuff. I had a little trivia question off of this for you guys. Okay. Because Franz Wagner, he's yet to make an All-Star team. So I was wondering, can you guys name...
The three guys last season who won a Player of the Week award but have never made an All-Star team. I think you can do this. I think you can do this. Now, let me tell you. Tyrese Maxey and Paolo Bancaro, they both won Player of the Week honors before they made the All-Star game last year. So I'm not including them for obvious reasons.
