We'll have all this and more because this is Kinda Funny Games Daily. Hello gamers, welcome to Kind of Funny Games Daily for Wednesday, April 9th, 2025. I am Andres Cortes, and I'm joined by Roger Pocorni.

I'm like, you know, I have like 100 and something hours in this game. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Which is shocking to me. Yeah, I did not know that. Yeah, I had no idea about that. But that all sounds amazing. Everybody tune in Friday for that. Hell yeah.

Crazy stuff. I... Where do you want to go here? Because I'm talking about the Outer Worlds 2 element of it. I can just talk about the idea that Outer Worlds 2 is getting so much praise and excitement behind the Xbox marketing machine here. Putting it right afterwards, after the Xbox showcase, it's a huge slot right there.
That is reserved for Starfield before, Black Ops 6 was the first Xbox Game Pass Call of Duty game, and then now Outer Worlds 2. I was not expecting Outer Worlds 2 to have that slot. I expected, in my heart of hearts, maybe Gears of War. Maybe Gears of War is coming out this year. Maybe we do the big push there, right? So I think in my mind, that means that Gears of War is not coming out this year.
I expected maybe even like a Fable or something like that, right? But Outer Worlds 2, that's kind of cool that this studio is getting that push behind it. I don't necessarily think it's as exciting. I don't know. What do you think?
Part of me wonders if they are just trying to set a formula for what these things will be. Hey, we'll have our big showcase, and afterwards, we'll give you a super deep dive on an upcoming big first-party title. And part of me wonders... Are they up there in these offices going, should we put Outer Worlds 2 on this stage?

I think part of me wonders... Are you just trying to get more of the Game Pass audience on it? Are you trying to get more people onto Game Pass to show them, look at this really high-quality RPG with great character interactions, decision-making. You are sort of role-playing your character in this world. And by the way, it's also on Game Pass.
I think what Outer Worlds 2, this whole situation with it being after the Showcase, I think you brought up a lot of great earlier points of what are we going to see with E-Day? What are we going to see with Fable? Perfect Dark.
Ninja Gaiden.
Ninja Gaiden 4. Ninja Gaiden 4, sorry, yeah, you're right, sorry. I was thinking Ragebound, the science book. But immediately I wonder, wow, are we really that far off from Perfect Dark and Fable?
Shit, I forgot about Perfect Dark.
It just really sort of makes me worry more about those. But then on the flip side, I go, Andy, don't worry. It's because Outer Worlds 2 is coming out very, very soon, and they want to really, really focus and push this. This is the moment to push right here for Outer Worlds 2. This is the marketing moment.
Yeah, and I think Obsidian is owed this moment, too, right? Like, I mean, they've just been working so hard on so many great games that they deserve at least a spot once, right? Of like, hey, this is our sequel. This is the thing that is going to perfect this Outer Worlds formula. This is the moment to give it the biggest spotlight ever. Yeah, when I look back at this year, fucking Xbox...
had a great year so far.
They've been the insomniac of Xbox.

Chapter 5: What is the significance of Outer Worlds 2 being featured after the Xbox Showcase?
I do.
Yeah, you don't have one anymore. I bought one. Yeah, then you returned it.
I returned it because I was waiting for a better one. Now you can't get one. And I legitimately was going to buy a better one. And this Framework 13... the press releases that were coming out on it before it came out was sort of a, Hey, get a higher end laptop. That's very affordable for students out there. Awesome color configurations. Really, really neat concept.
You're not going to spend $2,000 on a laptop for your students. This is something that your young children of students will... Children of students? That doesn't make any sense, Roger.
You could be an old student.
Very affordable, entry-level laptop. And yeah, it sucks for a very small company.
And especially, yeah, if anyone doesn't know anything about Framework, Framework is a company that is based upon the ideals that you can repair and upgrade your laptops by yourself, right? So you can literally just get all the pieces and put together your laptop and save a bunch of money. It's a really cool concept, so that sucks for them.
I've watched a lot of videos about that, and they're behind-the-scenes stuff, so that sucks for them, it sucks for Razer, and yeah, again, we're going to keep on getting this, and... Excited for tomorrow. We're going to get more news stories like this.
Yeah. We'll see what the next companies will be. I was already kind of bummed out because every time I see the new Priuses, Roger, I fantasize about getting a new Prius. Oh, shit. Not a new one. I've never had one. That means I can sell you my Honda Civic. Fuck yeah, dude. It's only got 23,000 miles on it, Roger.

which is incredible so yeah he would just be like he would throw away a can like man it's just a bunch of e-waste that's not that's not how you use the word yeah uh so i'm happy that yeah one it's successful and two they're continuing to update it because man also one day we got to figure out how to jailbreak this fucking thing i know people already have sort of but like if they can start putting some emulation on that you know what i mean come on just a little bit okay but what sort of hardware capabilities are we talking with this i don't know what's on board with it someone got gta3 running like in the first week of this thing coming
coming out. So it has to have something going on.
Damn, they couldn't even do that with the Grand Theft Auto remaster.

That's a tough little venture right there. Yeah, this is great for people who are invested into that PlayStation ecosystem to continue to reward people for buying the damn hardware because it's One of those, again, kind of a surprise for me. I did not expect this thing.
I don't think a lot of people expected this device to sell really great, and I expected there to be a shitload of returns from people going, oh, wait, it's just a cloud thing?
