Chapter 1: What was Alexis' involvement with the 'Bling Ring'?
Really, really dysfunctional family system. I preface all of this to give people context as to like the background behind people who commit crimes and use substances. I will also say that none of that made me an alcoholic. I'm an alcoholic because I'm an alcoholic addict.
Your father punched you in the face at 14. Do you talk to him anymore?
Chapter 2: How did Alexis' childhood affect her life choices?
I do, so this is amazing. And my mom was a model who was just a hippie who was checked out of reality, right? Yeah.
I'm the president of your fan club.
Chapter 3: What was the reality show Pretty Wild about?
Oh, thank you.
Because you're smart.
Thank you.
Chapter 4: Why does Alexis feel grateful for her past struggles?
I read years ago that these houses were being hit by this group of kids and Paris Hilton's house got burglarized as well. You were part of that.
Yes.
Tell me about it.
Do you want the whole story or just that part?
No, I want the whole story.
And my mom was a model who was just a hippie who was checked out of reality. Right. There was abuse at the hands of family members and babysitters and girlfriends of my father's. And it was up started when I was four. Right. So I was just that's earliest I can remember.
So sorry. That is so it's horrible.
Right. And my parents divorced when I was three and it was just chaos.

Chapter 6: How did Alexis begin her journey to sobriety?
When I was 19.
That's when they found out about it? Yeah. Did anything happen to this guy?
Yeah. Yeah. He's been taken care of.
He's been taken care of.
The police were involved. I don't want to talk about all this.
I just want to know if the guy went to jail or not.
Yes. There was a big thing that happened. Right. So I'm glad police were called. He has children, CPS, the whole shebang. Right. Good. And so what ended up happening was I just needed to escape my household. I went and lived with friends.
I was like, how old were you when you left the house?
I started leaving the house at 12.

Chapter 7: What role did therapy play in Alexis' recovery?
Yeah.
I stopped talking to my father when I was 14 after he punched me in the face and I just couldn't take it anymore.
Your father punched you in the face at 14? Yeah. Do you talk to him anymore?
Chapter 8: What message does Alexis want to share about community?
I do. So this is amazing because we all got better when I got better, which was incredible. And I'm so grateful. Our family is thriving now. And my heart sings when I think about my family now and just our personal transformation. But yeah, so really, really dysfunctional family system.
And I preface all of this to give people context as to like the background behind people who commit crimes and use substances the way that I do. I will also say that none of that made me an alcoholic, right? I'm an alcoholic because I'm an alcoholic addict, right? They didn't help, didn't help. But it's not the reason why I was checking out. Checking out started really-
How do you know?
I think there's plenty of people who become addicts and alcoholics with perfect households.
How do you know? How do you know that those traumas that you experienced in early childhood weren't so painful that you had to self-medicate over it?
I did self-medicate over it. But there's a distinction between, I think so. And I'm going to tell you why. Because all of my trauma has been healed, right? Because of the work that I've done, like really, truly healed. I can talk about all of this. None of it brings up feelings for me, whatever. And I still wouldn't pick up a drink or a drug because I believe, same thing with smoking, right?
I like have tendencies that are super impulsive.
That's not why you don't pick up a drink or a drug. The reason you don't pick up a drink or a drug is because you're a single mother. You're not a dip. You're in love with your kid.
There's plenty of single. I had a sponsor.
