Chapter 1: What highlights stood out from today's show?

00:13 - 00:31 Dan Le Batard

I thought there was a lot of good stuff in today's show. Roy is rarely going to have a mispronunciation that's going to help us more than that one. Juju, thank you for being here today. We'll get to the polls with Juju. People are very happy that the polls are back and the updates on the polls are back.

00:31 - 00:52 Dan Le Batard

But let's start with whatever it is today in the subject matter that sent your way on all the stuff that we were talking about in sports. I would imagine... I imagine Jalen Hurts was a topic that will catch fire somewhere where they aggregate Stugatz stuff. What did you make of the Jalen Hurts talk?

0

Chapter 2: Is Jalen Hurts getting the credit he deserves?

00:53 - 01:06 Juju Gotti

Yeah. You guys said people aren't giving Jalen Hurts credit. And I think that just watching the wrong TV shows, because the shows I watch, they're giving them tons of credit. So I think it is time to, you know what I mean? Maybe give some new shows a try.

0

01:06 - 01:14 Juju Gotti

You guys, you know, we love Greeny, but, you know, it's just a lot of new and upper incomers out there who are giving Jalen Hurts a lot of credit.

0

01:14 - 01:19 Stugotz

All right. I am unaware of this and perhaps it's a blind spot by me. Give me some shows I need to start watching, Juju.

0

01:20 - 01:26 Juju Gotti

Uh, shoot. I mean, this show, how about we just start off by giving him credit and then we can just watch it back later on. You dig me?

0

00:00 - 00:00 Stugotz

That's what I was trying to do. I just don't feel like enough people are. That's all I'm saying. That's it. Well, but he's saying, Juju's saying that we could do better. All right. Well, I did. I mean, what are you doing? I'm only discrediting him at every turn.

00:00 - 00:00 Dan Le Batard

It's my fault. The problem is right in the mirror.

Chapter 3: What is the perception of Jalen Hurts in media?

01:44 - 01:54 Chris Cote

I mean, he's clearly not like Trent Dilfer. Like he's not in that conversation. Yes, he's not. He might not be Patrick Mahomes. Can't we just agree? He's fine. He's good enough for this team.

0

01:54 - 02:04 Stugotz

He's really, really good. He's better than fine. That's the problem is that he's fine, that the defense won him a title, that the offensive line won him a title. No, Jalen Hurts won the Eagles a title.

0

02:04 - 02:11 Chris Cote

No, I'm arguing on his behalf. Like, yes, he's not Mahomes, but he's not even close to, like, in that conversation of what's he carried there by a team.

0

02:11 - 02:20 Tony

You need to say better than fine, though. Fine gives you a connotation of, like, eh, he's okay. Jalen Hurts is very, very good. Solid. No, solid's still not good enough. Solid's not good enough either.

0

00:00 - 00:00 Unidentified

Very, very good. Elite.

00:00 - 00:00 Tony

He's elite.

00:00 - 00:00 Dan Le Batard

See, now you're crazy.

00:00 - 00:00 Tony

No, that's too much. I do need to redo my Tony's QB tiers postseason. Now that we did a preseason, now we're doing postseason. Jalen Hurts may be climbing up the ranks.

Chapter 4: How does Brock Purdy compare to Jalen Hurts?

02:34 - 02:55 Dan Le Batard

I do think, though, that one of the things that's happening here is that the analysis of the quarterback position has gotten so carried away that there are many people who would say, well, you know what he is? He's Brock Purdy. or some form of Brock Purdy because he's got help. Because you're giving so much credit to the help that he has.

0

02:55 - 03:03 Stugotz

No, but the help he had two years ago when they almost beat the Kansas City Chiefs was Miles Sanders. I mean, that was the help who went to Carolina and is nothing now.

0

03:03 - 03:21 Dan Le Batard

Okay, I don't know how much better you guys are going to make Jalen Hurts than Brock Purdy, but I don't mean that as an insult to Brock Purdy. He had MVP-like numbers for a while. There are a lot of places where we're willing to not give credit to the quarterback because how much credit we're giving to systems and complementary players these days.

0

03:22 - 03:29 Roy

Solid, not enough. Elite, probably too much. How about a Kirkshin? Really good. Do we like that?

0

00:00 - 00:00 Chris Cote

You let me do that. Thank you.

00:00 - 00:00 Roy

Is Purdy really good?

00:00 - 00:00 Dan Le Batard

Is Purdy really good? Purdy's good enough.

Chapter 5: Why was Jalen Hurts hungover at Disney World?

03:40 - 03:41 Stugotz

God, that is good.

0

03:41 - 03:57 Juju Gotti

Also, Jalen Hurts was clearly hung over at Disney World. You feel me? Going to Disney World right after you win the Super Bowl, it might be a bit challenging. I challenge the reporter to ask a better question from a guy who's hung over after the Super Bowl. You feel me?

0

03:57 - 04:07 Chris Cote

I don't know who. Criticize Hertz for that. I just found it hilarious because I got this eager social media person, and they're like, oh, I got my 10 seconds with him. All right, I'm going to interview him. And he's just like, I don't know, nothing.

0

04:07 - 04:12 Roy

Never seen someone who looks more like they just need to go to sleep 12 hours ago.

0

00:00 - 00:00 Dan Le Batard

Oh, but Juju, thank you for making that point. It somehow eluded us as a show to make that point. That's exactly what happened there. That guy has not slept, has been partying, and the last thing he needs to do is think. Like, give me questions that don't require me to think.

00:00 - 00:00 Unidentified

Right.

00:00 - 00:00 Dan Le Batard

It would have been better if he had just said, Jalen, can you just say all the cliches you usually do? Can you just say how important it is to be a part of a team? Like, don't make him think. The man is tired.

00:00 - 00:00 Tony

Thank you to the offensive line.

Chapter 6: What are Tony's new dad observations?

04:37 - 04:44 Chris Cote

The question was how many unread texts. It's not like a deep, like, you know. The guys at least. Tony, it's the guys up front. The big boys up front.

0

04:44 - 04:48 Dan Le Batard

Don't make him think at all. Don't make him do any math, anything.

0

04:48 - 05:04 Juju Gotti

Shout out to BG. Right. Shout out to Tony for being back. Welcome back, brother. You've been kicking ass with Lewis and the MMA Hangout. The numbers are going skyrocket. You dig it? So glad y'all got a chance to highlight my boy today.

0

05:04 - 05:11 Dan Le Batard

You dig? Thank you, Tony. Are you going to get before the end of the week to your top 10 new dad observations?

0

00:00 - 00:00 Tony

New father observations in the style of weekend observations, which we'll do tomorrow.

00:00 - 00:00 Stugotz

It's not a top ten. It's just ten minutes long. Like your racism, that also evergreen.

00:00 - 00:00 Dan Le Batard

Okay, great. Excellent. Thank you.

00:00 - 00:00 Stugotz

And the song.

00:00 - 00:00 Juju Gotti

Happy Black History Month. Speaking of that, a major salute award today for Jeremy Taché for when you got into the plantation talk. He said, that's a town in Florida. You dig me? And we needed that out there, Jeremy. Thank you, sir. Hats off.

Chapter 7: Who are the Codys, and where do they live?

05:43 - 05:50 Dan Le Batard

Yes, Chris Cody and his father, Greg Cody, they live in Plantation, not on a plantation.

0

05:50 - 05:52 Stugotz

As do I. Yeah, Jeremy lives there also.

0

05:52 - 05:58 Dan Le Batard

In Plantation. Allyship, ooh, oh no. I do think we need to change the name of Plantation.

0

05:58 - 06:07 Chris Cote

I just want everyone to know that I live in Davie. I am getting a petition going. And I live in West Palm Beach. I said to myself, I am getting out of this city.

0

00:00 - 00:00 Dan Le Batard

What else? And it was a moral decision. It was a moral decision.

00:00 - 00:00 Stugotz

Ladies and gentlemen, an ally. Thank you, Chris. Davey's a strange place, man. It really is. It's actually worse than Plantation.

00:00 - 00:00 Dan Le Batard

Yes, it is somehow. Way worse. That's right. That's absolutely right. I have no idea where the roundup is. The people in Davey are trying to get away from all those progressives in Plantation.

00:00 - 00:00 Tony

Nothing wrong with the name to me.

00:00 - 00:00 Dan Le Batard

Wow. Wow. The first ever black Zagaki.
