Healing + Human Potential

Why Letting Go Is the Most Powerful Thing You Can Do | Matias De Stefano | EP 86

Tue, 29 Apr 2025

Description

What if everything you’re trying to fix was never broken to begin with?   In this episode, we talk about some of the deepest questions—why we’re here, who we really are, and what the “void” truly is. We explore how life began with a small "mistake"—a ripple that set the universe into motion — and how everything we experience is part of a bigger process of realignment.   We also dive into how our emotions get stored in the body, how that energy affects our health, and how illness can be a form of feedback, not failure. And we touch on the difference between ego and essence, the power of the question “Who am I?” and how forgiveness is about letting go of what we were never meant to carry.   To help unpack all of this, I’m joined again by Matías De Stefano — one of the most popular guests we've ever had — who shares his personal experience moving through sadness, letting go of identity, and trusting the cycles of death and rebirth.   Whether you’re navigating a healing journey, questioning your purpose, or simply wanting to know yourself more deeply, this conversation offers real insights you can start working with today.   ===   Want one of the most Powerful Tools to Support you in Awakening & Manifesting Your Dream Life from the Inside Out (for Free)?   Learn how to live to your full potential without letting fear get in the way of your dreams.    ✨ Here's How to Get Your Gift: ✨ Step 1: Just head over to Apple Podcast or Spotify + leave a review now Step 2: Take a screenshot before hitting submit Step 3: Then go to alyssanobriga.com/podcast to upload it!   ===   GUEST LINKS https://www.instagram.com/matiasgustavodestefano Website: https://matiasdestefano.org   ===   Have you watched our previous episode titled Unlocking Life’s Mysteries: Purpose, Past Lives & Manifestation with Matias De Stefano?   Watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/-YRojAOVI_M?si=E1xdkMBSkrYggTIC   ====   Alyssa Nobriga International, LLC - Disclaimer This podcast is presented solely for educational and entertainment purposes. Chapter 1: What is the cosmic mistake that set the universe into motion?

80.464 - 94.593 Alyssa Nobriga

What if the very fabric of our reality is based in a cosmic mistake? In this episode of the Healing and Human Potential podcast, we have Matthias DeStefanos back on, who's picking up right where we left off, where he left us with a cliffhanger talking about the mistake.

0

94.873 - 116.264 Alyssa Nobriga

So we're going to explore this hidden flaw woven within existence and how to break free from survival programming to spiritual awakening. We also talk about non-duality, timelines, and why the unraveling in our lives might actually be the initiation that creates true freedom. Again, our guest today, Matthias de Stephanos, is a spiritual teacher and multidimensional explorer.

0

116.464 - 138.393 Alyssa Nobriga

He's known for his memory of his past lives and his ability to explain complex cosmic truths in a really grounded and digestible way. He's here to help us decode what it is we're doing here on our school and the syllabus that most of us miss from the first day of class. Let's dive in. Let's have a conversation that's going to change the world. You start. I'm just kidding.

0

138.533 - 139.734 Matias De Stefano

I would hope I could do that.

0

140.314 - 164.417 Alyssa Nobriga

I think you can. I wanted to have you back on for a few reasons. Your episode 49, the first episode we did was not only the most popular episode we've ever had, but you left us with a cliffhanger when you were talking about the mistake. Do you flaw in existence that's so woven in that it's almost not recognizable and it may not even be from this world is what I think you said.

164.658 - 165.78 Alyssa Nobriga

I'm like, tell us everything.

167.54 - 195.585 Matias De Stefano

Well, we would need like many podcasts to try to clarify that. And even for myself, it's part of my life mission. So it's not like something I have clear. It's something that I felt remembered and that I am working on. So every day, every week, there's a new clue on all of that. And that's what amazes me all the time. But first of all, I would like to say that it's not that...

196.445 - 220.759 Matias De Stefano

from my point of view, there is a mistake with everything or that the universe has like a mistake, let's say, because of course, from the point of view, when you are connected to everything, everything is perfect and you can sense it. Like everything makes sense. Everything is perfect. Even though we are not we as humans, but nature is constantly trying to fix problems, right?

221.912 - 250.927 Matias De Stefano

is life is programmed to try to fit a structure that is not matching. So basically every atom, every frequency in the universe is trying to match with something to try to balance something. So the reason why protons and electrons and neutrons are getting together and sharing, exchanging energy is basically because they are trying to compensate something.

Chapter 2: How does the concept of 'Who am I?' help us understand our essence and ego?

818.837 - 847.83 Matias De Stefano

So every time that we do something, it's like, oh, I don't feel complete. There's something missing. And it's like constantly these things that we say... are establishing a pattern that makes us escape from the idea of void, of having something that is hollow. And it's a terrible image for someone that is trying to fulfill its life or to find something to complete themselves.

0

847.89 - 876.711 Matias De Stefano

Like love, we try to find someone else to complete ourselves and so on. But this void is not about that. This void is not about there's nothing and I have to fill it up. And if I don't fill it up, I become nothing. It's not that specific void. Basically, when you go to the infinite structure of particles, there's nothing. It's void. And even though that void is holding everything.

0

Chapter 3: What is the void and why is it important for spiritual awakening?

878.226 - 901.074 Matias De Stefano

it doesn't matter where it is it doesn't matter if it's another galaxy or here this glass of water it's the same void that is holding the structure of everything so when you go to that void it's not something that you have to fill up it's something that allows you to be in that galaxy and in the glass of water So you are everything.

0

901.334 - 930.909 Matias De Stefano

You are holding the structure of everything that you can possibly think of. So it's completely the opposite to where we were designed to understand about what is void and emptiness. So when scientists say, oh, the universe is basically 0.0001% matter, And the rest is void. It's like, so what? The 99.99% of the universe is void? What it means? What does it mean?

0

930.949 - 957.96 Matias De Stefano

So it means that it's holding everything that we perceive. So actually, that's the important aspect. That's the divine itself. And the reason why that void is so important is because it allows everything to exist without any conditioning. So that's why we feel comfortable in that void. expansion of nothing instead of feeling I'm loosening. So when you connect with that is totally different.

0

958.74 - 984.99 Matias De Stefano

And I used to use this this way of explaining the void so people could understand it more closely, which is A guitar to make music needs a hole. So basically, not the void, but the emptiness of the room or the hole on the guitar is the thing that allows the sound to expand, the music to be heard.

0

985.871 - 1010.39 Matias De Stefano

So that's like a simplest way to understand that the void is not something bad that you need to fulfill, because if you fill it up, the sound won't be the same. You cannot actually feel. That's why in order to actually find coherence between heart and mind. You need to be empty from all the expectations, feelings, patterns, ideas, preconcepts.

1010.95 - 1017.173 Matias De Stefano

You have to release all that in order to feel correctly. So that's the actual void.

1017.914 - 1020.415 Alyssa Nobriga

Is it that you have to release it or be awake to it?

1021.323 - 1054.421 Matias De Stefano

You have to realize that all of those things that you've been putting here, they maybe go here or here or in the hip. But they don't go in the heart or in the mind. They have their position. So you release them from the place where you place them. So they can be actually where they are supposed to be. And that's what it means to die in life, to let go. It's not like, okay, I forget about it.

1054.441 - 1080.081 Matias De Stefano

It's about where do I have to place every idea, every emotion, every action that I took in the correct position of my body, of my soul, of my mind, so I can allow the kundalini, the energy, flow correctly. Otherwise, you're creating points of gravity within your center that attach the energy and they start to spin instead of just moving through.

Chapter 4: How can allowing emotions like sadness lead to healing and rebirth?

1231.26 - 1257.047 Matias De Stefano

And it's not, even if I feel it in sadness, it's like allowing yourself to go to that void and not thinking that it's something to be ashamed of, but something that is bringing you to a territory that is unknown. So it allows you to open yourself to new stuff, to new positions. As I said, maybe I was water inside a glass when I can be a galaxy.

0

1257.967 - 1269.271 Matias De Stefano

But because I thought I feel contained in a glass of water, I'm not allowing myself to become stars. But only when I go to the void, I can be both at the same time.

0

1269.994 - 1284.885 Alyssa Nobriga

Thank you for sharing so transparently. I think it's going to serve a lot of people to also just to really allow whatever emotions come up without getting tossed by the waves, just to allow them to come up and pass through. Because there are people listening right now that are feeling exactly that way. They're feeling depressed.

0

1285.565 - 1296.153 Alyssa Nobriga

Whether it's from life situation or spiritual awakening and questioning existence, how could that be the greatest gift to really meet ourselves and the moment fully?

0

1296.753 - 1324.509 Matias De Stefano

When I was 12 and I started to remember, One of the main things that I started to remember was every death. And I had to go through not only my death, but remembering the death of people I loved. and how they started to disappear in front of my eyes and myself dying. So I made death kind of an exercise for me, which is also annoying for a lot of people that wants to keep living.

1325.41 - 1349.163 Matias De Stefano

And the main reason is because when you are attached to life, you want to keep the things as you observe them. And in my life, I've been changing everything constantly. Like, oh, I created this. I will destroy it. I will do something else. And I will reincarnate in the same life in different projects or stuff, which is very unstable for many.

1349.804 - 1383.125 Matias De Stefano

And for me, it's like a natural state of destroying myself once and again, because I have to remember that that's how life is. Actually, if I get attached to one shape or one idea, then... I would be stuck in the same process. So you start to see all the patterns that are stuck all the time and kind of like, oh, I want to destroy them so I can keep on going. I want to die so I can keep on going.

1383.886 - 1410.991 Matias De Stefano

So I think that for everyone that is living situations like that, in my own personal experience, I allow myself to suffer it Because it's not that I want to suffer, but I allow my body to have the struggle and the feeling of something is dying. So my consciousness can actually work and say, now I know that because I'm dying, I can be reborn.

1412.012 - 1436.39 Matias De Stefano

So the whole mindset starts to reset and starts to be a blessing for the new things to come. But of course, the process is difficult. But if you fight it on, you shouldn't feel like that, or don't cry, you know, these kind of things that people used to say, it's all going to be okay. It doesn't have to.

Chapter 5: What does it mean to let go and allow transformation in life?

1560.508 - 1574.553 Alyssa Nobriga

0

1595.956 - 1620.293 Alyssa Nobriga

I'm curious, because my audience is very interested in healing, spirituality and psychology. And in your process, knowing yourself deeply, part of the work that I support my students in is embodying the truth of what they are, while letting the egoic structures come up and allow whatever feelings, sensations or thoughts to be met as if essence embraces ego.

0

1621.314 - 1634.404 Alyssa Nobriga

From the point of view of the void, of the truth of what you are, allowing any of these egoic patterns, stories, thoughts, feelings, sensations coming up to be allowed fully. Is that how you orient around it?

0

1634.884 - 1661.883 Matias De Stefano

I don't have any technique of anything. I basically, when I start to feel like this, I just allow myself to feel it. The essence is like the void. It has no point of relation. So it's holding everything. So it cannot relate to anything directly. It's just there for the everything. So the ego is basically like the focus on your side.

1662.223 - 1690.255 Matias De Stefano

Like, okay, I have so many things and I am so many things that I will put my attention into this spot here. So that spot becomes the point of gravity of the whole thing. So all of it starts to spin towards it like a galaxy, and it creates the ego. So the ego is this point of gravity, so the essence can say, oh, I can relate to that. I have something to relate to now. So what happens?

1691.115 - 1720.58 Matias De Stefano

If the essence grows bigger and bigger, so more things will go to that point of gravity. So a person that... has nothing in its life, usually don't have much to carry in the ego because it's not carrying the weight of anything, like any mission, purpose, or relationships, or friends, or family, or whatever, or money. It's just free.

1721.06 - 1747.846 Matias De Stefano

That's why a lot of people, to release the ego, they just go to a cave in the middle of nowhere, and they start to meditate and leave everything behind, even the clothes. Because in that way, you have nothing to think of, nothing that the ego can be attached to or carry as a point of attention. That's why we have this common belief that doing that is to release the ego.

1748.331 - 1748.691 Unidentified Speaker (Brief Interjection)

Yeah.

Chapter 6: How do ego and essence differ and what is a healthy relationship with ego?

1958.937 - 1966.125 Alyssa Nobriga

Talk to us about what you understand spiritual awakening to be. And what would you say to people that are interested in spiritual awakening?

0

1967.507 - 1970.869 Matias De Stefano

Well, it's not what it looks like.

0

1972.37 - 1974.552 Alyssa Nobriga

The sales pitch for it is very different than the reality.

0

1974.592 - 1981.337 Matias De Stefano

Yeah, exactly. Of course, we have to make it beautiful so people go into it.

0

1981.517 - 1984.819 Alyssa Nobriga

That first kiss of awakening. My teacher would say the first one's free.

1985.259 - 2018.7 Matias De Stefano

Yeah, the first one's free. I always love to say that spirituality actually translates literally to the ability to breathe. So spirituality is not about channeling dimensions or knowing what I remember. This is not spirituality. Spirituality is whoever manages the breathing and knows how to be in presence. So the ability to breathe, that's what it actually means.

2019.6 - 2045.631 Matias De Stefano

So when you try to connect with it or whatever, it's like, Go back to remember how to breathe. And that's very difficult for all of us because we are not in a constant breathing process. And some people that are in the breathing process, they are trying to demonstrate that they can do it. So they are not also in the actual breathing process. Breathing process is like being a baby. And...

2046.391 - 2071.064 Matias De Stefano

having this breath and allowing themselves to cry if they need to release the tension. And so it's not about looking spiritual, meditating and breathing like in yoga. It's about actually allowing the art of breath to express. So a spiritual awakening is like when a baby is That's like, that's a spiritual awakening.

2071.084 - 2087.838 Matias De Stefano

For example, it's like getting out of another human's body, feeling the pressure of the air in your lungs and changing completely from a not breathing being inside a womb to someone that has to breathe.

Chapter 7: Why is fully allowing sensations and feelings important in spiritual growth?

3246.239 - 3256.565 Matias De Stefano

Am I moving or I'm just thinking that I'm moving, but actually I'm like a hamster in the same wheel spinning and running, but in the same position all the time.

0

3256.805 - 3265.77 Alyssa Nobriga

Yeah. And somebody that chooses not to do the work, like for example, your grandmother, do you think that she'll then just have further opportunities to get the same lessons again and again?

0

3266.664 - 3267.865 Matias De Stefano

Yeah, the universe is eternal.

0

3268.125 - 3269.485 Alyssa Nobriga

Yeah.

0

3270.005 - 3272.166 Matias De Stefano

So plenty of time.

3272.186 - 3286.831 Alyssa Nobriga

Yeah. And what about for people that are listening and they have someone that they love that has died? What would you say to them? I'm sure they're asking questions like what happens specifically after we die, but what would you want them to know?

3286.851 - 3315.499 Matias De Stefano

I think it's important to understand that when someone dies, their energy expands. So that expansion goes to different levels. There's one aspect of that expansion that goes to the fourth dimension and the fifth dimension that expands into different dimensions. But other aspects of you expands in the third dimension. Meaning... Insects will eat from you. That will feed birds and roots.

3316.379 - 3337.297 Matias De Stefano

That will give power to flowers and seeds. That will create honey for beehives and so on. So you expand in different dimensions. You don't only expand in the fourth or heaven, but you're also expanding to this one. So that means that the person that just died, one aspect...

3338.948 - 3359.539 Matias De Stefano

expands very fast to the fourth dimension, which is that moment when you see your whole life and the tunnel and the whole thing. But then you go to the fifth dimension, which is information, and you start to expand to other levels. But the physical aspect of you, it takes months until it expands into nature.
