It's all about the authoritarian playbook to make countries have to go to him. to beg him, please, can I get an exemption? Please don't put the tariffs on me, makes businesses runt him. Please, I need help. I need an exemption.
Can you please help me? I have to do the walk of shame to Washington, D.C. or Mar-a-Lago. And authoritarians like when their people are suffering. Like, do you think Kim Jong-un is upset that people in North Korea suffer? You think Putin cares that he sends Russians into the meat grinder of war in Ukraine? Do you think that he cares that people are suffering economically? No.
