Chapter 1: Why can the holidays be difficult for some?
Hey, I just wanted to pop on here for a second because I know the holidays, although they're a wonderful time for many, can be very hard for some. Not everybody has a loved one to be near during this time, and everything you look at is a reminder of that. Some are missing loved ones that have passed. It's just a reminder that not all of us are so lucky, you know?
Chapter 2: What support is available for those struggling during the holidays?
Not all of us have the means, and many during this time lose the will. So I just wanted to pop on here for a second and say that. If you're having a hard time this Christmas, you're most definitely not alone. By no means are you alone. I don't know if that helps. I don't know if any of this helps. But if you want to call in to our call-in line, please feel free. We have that set up 24-7.
Chapter 3: How can listeners reach out for help?
You can call in from anywhere. You can Skype to Sword and Scale, all one word, or call in 954-889-6854. And that's a plus one in the front of that if you're outside the U.S. I listen to every single one of those phone calls, by the way. I may not be able to return them all, but I do listen. Every single call. So you're not alone.
And if you think you've passed some sort of arbitrary line and you think you may need a little help, a little real help, please call the Crisis Lifeline. Just dial 988 on your phone. Please, don't be alone this Christmas. You don't have to be. For the rest of you, we'll be back before you return your last Christmas present.
