Chapter 1: What classic horror movie are we discussing?
Chapter 2: What happens at the Crystal Lake Research Facility?
What is up, Task Force? This is Trevor once again with another preview of this week's Movie Club. Of course, we had to do it to you. We watched the classic Jason X. It was a crappy good time. I gotta be honest with you. We had a great time covering this one. So enjoy the preview of this week's episode and check it out over at redwebpod.com. Our journey begins at Crystal Lake Research Facility.
Did you know that the camp had a research lab? Dude, that's the first thing I said. Research facility? Oh, yeah.
Come on. Already?
And Jason Voorhees is chained up. He seems to be awaiting a cryogenic suspension. God only knows how they got him in the first place. And despite treating him like a lab rat, they do give him his dignity by letting him keep his hockey mask on before some lab technician dude calls him ugly and throws a blanket over his head. We know things are about to go south quick.
We cut to the head doctor who's storming into the place, Dr. Wimmer. He's rolling in with his armed associates, and he's here for Jason, an unfrozen, soft Jason. Not, you know, cryogenic or whatever.

Chapter 3: Who is Dr. Wimmer and why is he important?
I must say, I must say, only good part of the movie, David Cronenberg as this dude.
Chapter 4: What notable films did David Cronenberg direct?
As Dr. Wimmer? Mm-hmm. What else is he from?
He's like the director of, like, Scanners, The Fly, The Brood.
Oh, wow.
Chapter 5: Why did David Cronenberg agree to be in this movie?
Videodrome. That's him. That's cool. How he agreed to do this, I'm uncertain.
Chapter 6: What is the story behind Jason's regeneration capabilities?
That's when you know that man's just having fun. He's not in this trying to win an Oscar. He was like, Jason in space, sign me up.
All right. Look at me ball. Maybe this movie was just made on favors, you know?
Oh, man. Favors and blackmail.
Favors and blackmail, a Jason X story. Okay, so this part is kind of interesting. I do like this element. It appears that they want Jason, they want to study his ability to regenerate new tissue. This man is a tank and he doesn't die. A lab tech named Rowan actually tries to stop him, implying that he's too dangerous to move. Do you think you can handle him if you unchain him and all of that?
Well, she was right. When they removed the blanket from Jason, it appears that he's already broken free and swapped his body with the dead body of the poor sap who insulted him.
Yeah, I saw that coming.
Yeah, yeah. Again, I don't know what Jason's plan was, but he let himself get captured, it seemed. You know, we'll just have to gloss over it. But Jason then readily dispatches the entire group in, and I timed it, 16 seconds. They're all gone. Oh. Yeah, I rewatched it because I was like, that was fast. Anyway, they're gone. We got to get to that budget. Got to get to the budget.
Rowan is then startled as the last man is thrown through the door, lands at her feet. She then turns to see Jason's done a little bit of his Jason magic and ended up behind her in the hallway. And she then takes the shotgun from the guy and runs off. as Jason stalks behind her. Somehow she manages to shotgun blast Jason, which pushes him back into an open cryogenic chamber and locks him in there.
As he's freezing, she does the hero ego thing and steps right up to the window to look at him. And he stabs through all the metal of this door, manages to pierce through, stabs her. And then there's some sort of cryogenic leak as the entire room is then frozen in a lockdown. And they're both cryogenically frozen.
