The story you're about to hear is one that I've been holding onto for quite a long time. and I'm pretty excited about it. I love this story, but at the same time, it's definitely far out there. It's about a woman named Carrie, who is a hairstylist. And at the time, she was traveling out of state to St. Louis,
for about a month, I believe, for a series of training courses for the salon that she worked at. During this training, her and the other stylists would stay at a hotel together, and they got to know each other pretty well. She hit it off with a stylist named Polly. And one night, things take a very sharp turn when Polly asks Carrie if she believes in aliens.
Chapter 2: What happens when Carrie and Polly discuss aliens?
I'm going to leave it there because I don't want to spoil anything. Like I said, I'm very excited about this one. This episode is called Polly, and you're listening to The Otherworld Patreon.
Chapter 3: How does Carrie feel about Polly's energy stories?
I remember the second week that Sherry wasn't as involved with us. She had a lot of stress from being away from home because she had kids. And I think that she was just like exhausted. And she would go back to her hotel room a little bit earlier and talk to her husband and her kids. And so that would just leave Polly and I after class. And Sometimes I would be in her hotel room.
Chapter 4: What unusual experiences does Polly share with Carrie?
Other times she would be in mine. And so the two of us would really talk a lot about some really crazy experiences. And she had tons of them. She had so many stories. And very quickly that second week, I want to even say that first night back that she started telling stories about things that she would see while she was living in the desert and all of this other stuff.
And immediately I was like, okay. love you but I can't hear that like that is the one thing that I am so afraid of and she's like really and I was like yeah like I have no shame with it I am terrified I don't want to hear anything hard no at first she was like okay she's like but you know This part was sort of always stuck out to me. She's like, you know, there's energy in everything.
And all you have to do is just understand the energy behind it and you'll be fine. And to a 19-year-old girl, I was like, what are you talking about energy? Like, what? And then she... She's like, yeah, energy, like it just pours out of you, like all you have to do. And she was so matter of fact about it that I was just sort of swept up in whatever she was telling me.
As long as we weren't talking about aliens, I was along for the ride, you know, just so relieved we weren't talking about aliens anymore. And I was like, oh, okay, what do you mean? She's like, well, if you hold out your hands, you can build up energy in your hands and you can even feel it. And
And then she would hold her hands and she'd be like, here, put your hands under mine and you can feel the energy coming off of my hands. And I would be like, okay. And she was like, do you feel that? And I was like, yeah, I do feel that. Why do I feel that? And I remember like thinking like, normal people, do they feel stuff like this? Is this something that I just don't know about?
And she's like, now, now like... cup your hand and like really like pretend like you can build it up in your hand and I'm going to push it down. And when she did that, I felt like this really strange static, like, you know, when you like go to touch an elevator button and it's that static and it's like sharp on your finger and you're like, ah.
I felt that in the middle of my palm and it almost sparked. There was only one lamp on in the room. It wasn't like everything was lit up like a Christmas tree. It was dim enough where you could almost see static. And I was like, oh my gosh, it must be so dry in here for having static that strong. And I remember pulling my hands out and I was like, okay, that was weird.
And she's like, yeah, it's just energy though. And I was like, okay. And I'm sure we talked about other things, but we didn't go back to that. Because I was like, no, thank you. I'm done with that. That was weird. The next night came, and again, she immediately brought up aliens and the experiences, more stories about living in the desert.
At this point, she talked about how she had a brother who had some really strange experiences living out in the desert. He still lived there. And I'm like, again, I can't hear this stuff. And she just kept bringing it up.
