Chapter 1: What happened in Game 6 between the Knicks and Celtics?
You're the all-NBA big that they went and made this deal for. And he was great. His first basket, super tough. He attacked Horford, banked it in over Cornett, who came with the help. Beautiful, cool shot. That was awesome. Then he overpowered Jalen Brown inside. He scored. How many times did Cat flex in this game? He felt like he was flexing like three or four times in this game.
Then Josh Hart started doing it every second play. So they're flexing all over them. A few minutes later, Cat grabbed an offensive rebound over Sam Hauser. It was off an OG miss in the corner. Just too big. Flipped it right back in. It hit on the rim and went in. He finally hit a three-pointer.
off of a deuce mcbride offensive rebound you know we always love the percentage when somebody gets an offensive rebound and kicks it back out to somebody that that three-pointer goes in at a higher percentage than normally shooting a three-pointer schumann do the math but i know it's higher it just goes in more and then he had a nice play in the second quarter a nice pick and roll work with brunson and that's where like cat did the thing where he tucks the ball away
You know, powers through guys, had the end one finish, a flex again. So he had 16 points in the first half. I just thought he met the moment here. And like you said, that guy, man. Talk about a guy that feeds off the crowd. So 21-12. Like all the starters on the Knicks. Everybody except Josh Hart, who had a triple-double, 10-11-11. Everybody else scored over 20-ish.
So they all showed up in this game. And I really do think they wisely looked at this game as a Game 7 for them.
Yeah, I mean, they had to. And, you know, it's funny, you talk about Cat, you got to give him praise. You got to give him some high praise for this coming out party for him a little bit. Because it's like, in the playoffs before, we always get on him. He's one of those guys that were like, okay, you're here, do something. Yep. And he showed up in this series. Like, I'm really impressed with Cat.
And it's so funny, him being traded for Julius Randle, another guy that is perennially shit on in the playoffs.
Yep.
And...

Chapter 2: How did the Knicks dominate the Celtics?
Right. So a hell of a lot of matchups. And I think the big winner of this is the WWE Triple H. There you go. I'm dropping more wrestling references for everybody. But we literally have had storylines of Jalen Brunson and Tyrese Halliburton Like, you know, sort of squaring off in the squared circle. Or at least also ringside. But yeah, they were in the ring.
There's a photo of Tyrese Halliburton with Logan Paul and Jalen Brunson with LA Knight. So, Triple H and the WWE, they got to have some fun, I'm thinking, with this Eastern Conference Finals. Like, I don't know, you got to make some cool promos or something. That'd be awesome.
Exactly, right? Like, they had them in there. They got to do something like that.
Yeah, WWE's the master of promos, so whip something together.

I saw Mike Prado of The Athletic say this. I saw it in Slack. We got it up on the live blog too. But you're going to hear these factoids over the next 24 hours a lot. Now that we're down or we're soon to be down to the final four. We got a game seven baby on Sunday. Thunder Nuggets. This is going to be the seventh straight season that we will not have a repeat NBA champion.
So, you know, we have maybe reached the parody era here. And it doesn't really show any signs of slowing down. But five of those seven teams that previously won lost in the second round of the playoffs the next year. We had the Raptors in 2020, Bucs in 22, Warriors in 23, Nuggets in 24, Celtics now in 25. So, yeah, the dynasty is dead. Yeah. We're going to be running back seven straight here.
How do you feel about that, right?
