Chapter 1: What spooky mimics haunt the Appalachian region?

00:00 - 00:28 Macy

Hi, Ghosties. I'm Macy. And I'm Natalie. And we're just going to get right down to it. It's listener story day. Listener story number 32. Stories from all of you. If you have a story you'd like to send to us, you can email it to us at ghostiespod at gmail.com. Also written down in the description. Tea today is Bigelow Constant Comment. Yes, it is. So let's go. Tea is great.

That's a really good one. I keep forgetting about that one. That one has been in the back of my pantry. I've got a massive stash of tea and it's been in the back and I had to dig for it and I was like, it's a good one. This is good. I need to start drinking this more. But our first story is from Haley. My name is Haley. It's a common name, so I don't mind if you use it.

I've always been very connected to spiritual things and I've had many experiences throughout my life. The story I'm wanting to tell you, though, is about a time when I was 10 or 11. We had moved into a townhouse apartment, and I had to stay home sick from school. Having just moved in, boxes were still packed up, and my mattress was up against the stairs. The area under the stairs was a plain wall.

No doors, no shelves, just a wall. However, when I laid in my bed trying to sleep, in my blurry vision, I see a hand reach out above my face and push my head into my pillow. It was big enough to cover my nose and mouth, making it hard to breathe. Once I got out from under it, I stood up, panicked, only to find nothing there and no one in the house. The windows were shut, doors all locked.

I was alone. I saw in a mirror moments later that there was still a handprint on my face. I immediately grabbed my tissues, apple juice, and blanket and sat out on the porch for five hours refusing to go back inside until my mom or any of my sisters got home. It's not the only scary experience I've had, but it's one I've never forgotten, even to this day 20 years later.

00:00 - 00:00 Macy

I love y'all's channel and hope the best. I'll send more experiences another time. Thank you. What? A whole hand?

00:00 - 00:00 Macy

yeah like you can kind of breathe like oh i'm sick so like maybe it's like i'm dreaming i'm not being able to breathe because i've got a upper respiratory infection or whatever you know but to see it afterwards is what you can't i like what do you how do you you can't explain it yeah there's physical evidence i'm having a really hard time with words today okay sorry anyway yeah that's scary that's horrifying actually

00:00 - 00:00 Macy

Our next story comes from Paola. Hey Natalie and Macy, my name is Paola. I found your YouTube channel a couple of weeks ago and I've been binge watching all the episodes. While listening to all the stories, I felt encouraged to share some of mine. The first story I want to share with you girls is about a mimic. So at the time I was maybe 16 or 17 years old because I was still in high school.

00:00 - 00:00 Macy

I lived with my sister, my niece, and my mom. Some details before the story. My niece and I had chores to do during the weekend when we weren't in school. We would pick and choose what we would like to do and it always ended in me sweeping and my niece mopping. Now on to the good part. This story happened on a Saturday morning. I had just finished my chores and it was my niece's turn to mop.

Chapter 2: How do listeners experience dark entities in their homes?

30:23 - 30:24 Natalie

Maybe. I don't know.

0

30:25 - 30:25 Macy

Possible.

0

30:25 - 30:27 Natalie

If that's a thing. Who knows?

0

30:27 - 30:45 Macy

And if it were a real car, how would it just disappear? How would it be right behind them following them? And then all of a sudden, nothing. Nowhere. I don't know. One thing I do know is I love these little like hometown legends. Oh, me too. So if you have a little legend, even if you didn't actually experience it yourself, but if somebody like if everyone knew like, oh, the third bridge or old.

00:00 - 00:00 Macy

the the tunnel down down the road please send it to us and like put it in the title like hometown legends or something because i'd love to do an episode on that i think that would be very fun y'all's little spooky hometown legends i want to know yeah and you don't your name anonymous and just give us the town you don't have to you don't have to even give us the town if you don't want to you just be like in this state or whatever yeah county whatever is equivalent of a country wherever you are yeah i think that would be good that would be fun

00:00 - 00:00 Macy

Because I love a good hometown legend. Oh, me too. Me too. Our next one comes from Penn. Gift from a ghost while listening to your podcast.

00:00 - 00:00 Natalie

Intriguing.

00:00 - 00:00 Macy

Hi, my name is Penn and I'm from the UK. I've just had an experience for the first time in ages whilst listening to an episode of your podcast. I feel I need to immediately write it down and send it to you. Agreed.

00:00 - 00:00 Natalie

Thank you.
