Welcome in.
Welcome in.
Friday the 13th. The Fantasy Footballers Podcast. I think this is why we exist, gentlemen. I think this is why the podcast is here as we.
It's time for some therapy.
We're here to sit with you in the middle. of your sadness. I mean, last week we thought it couldn't get worse. We had Jaden Reed, Goose, and folks as they tried to get into the playoffs. You know what's worse? Goose while you're in the playoffs. Yeah. A Cooper cup of nothing. A glass not half full, completely empty. Yeah.
So, you know, here we are, a touchdown-less Thursday night football game, and it's not good. It's not good that if you had some of the duds in this game, you certainly hoped your opponent played players from the same game. I mean, that weren't named probably Kyron and Puka because it wasn't a big game for Kittle. Forrest Chomp, Juwan Jennings.
Yeah, the 49ers side. It's a disaster. I mean... Yeah, Jawan Jennings, nine targets.
Nine targets.
Turned into two for 31.
If you didn't watch the game, it was a very wet, rainy game as well. Heavy rain pour. Um...
as they call it yeah rain pour is that not a thing rain pour yeah well heavy nah man heavy rain pour no no no down no there's a heavy downpour is that what i was looking for yeah a heavy rain pour has never been uttered before yeah downpour is what you're looking for but i we knew where you were going on that one all right you've had way worse oh thank you mike um not today
So, well, I'll get there early. I'll get there. The show's just starting. But yeah, it was it was a wet game and it turned into one of those occasional divisional slugfest where the two defenses are up for the task and the weather mixed with the fact that these teams see each other often. Just the offenses could not get anything going.
If I told you that Jennings had nine targets and Kittle had seven targets and Isaac Grindle got all the work on the ground.
Yeah, 16 carries and four targets.
Yeah, you would have expected a great game out of that. And, you know, on the other side, it was volume and accumulation for Kyron Williams, 29 for 108. There were no touchdowns in the game. Matthew Stafford started three for 11. Both quarterbacks, you know, not good. Stafford outperformed Purdy because Purdy had a pick.
But the story was Cooper Cup, and that is the reaction that a lot of people are going to go into. I mean, three targets, no catches, and the outpouring of what do I do now? I mean, I am in that boat. Fortunately, not in League of Record or Dynasty. But in three leagues, I have Cooper Cup, and I have zero points in all three of them. And now the messages coming in are, How much do I react to this?
You know, do I make other changes to my lineup? You know, what's the appropriate reaction to a zero on Thursday night football? Is my season over because of one player is scoring nothing?
No, your season is definitely not over. There are gooses every single week, and while it's not helpful, the gooses will more often be on the losing team. There are plenty of times that you can overcome a goose. You will make some changes. Now, you don't have to. You don't need to get crazy. But look at your projected total and your opponent's projected total.
If it was close because you were a five-point underdog and Cooper Cup had 15 projected points, now you're a 20-point underdog. Okay, well now maybe you look at your matchup and say, this flex option player is the wide receiver for his quarterback. That's not going to catch me up. Maybe I pivot to someone else or...
There were moves like a pivot to pivot type of questions of like, okay, do I sit DJ more now to play Darnell Mooney because Cup got me zero?
Yeah, I mean, that's not the example. To me, it's more of you're looking for someone that can go crazy.
Is it the switch to Winston off of Baker?
Winston, that's the type of dynamite that sometimes you need. Although, I will say this specifically because I've got Winston right now. He's got a bad weather matchup potentially in his outlook as well.
Yeah, I mean, when you have a game like that, you are hoping that, you know, your opponent's not going to get a goose probably, but is it, you know, is it a player that, you know, Amon Ra last week. Amon Raw was a seven-point fantasy player. Amon Raw, St. Brown, that is his lowest output of the week. Zero versus seven, that is not a defining difference in a matchup. You can overcome seven points.
Your opponent can have a down game. There are injuries.
There are big plays. If you are this far in fantasy football, that means you've been paying attention the whole year. You know what? Lists have been very long every Monday this year. The pooped in the pants list. Guys are underperforming, and this is not the end. It feels awful, but hopefully you were able to sleep it off and say, okay, it's not done. There's still plenty more games to go.
You know what it is the end for?
What's that? Debo.
Dude. Debo would be a big story if it wasn't for the fact that hopefully everyone was already benching Debo. Oh, man. Because Debo had seven targets and two carries. His opportunities were great. He finished with 19 combined yards. It's rough, man. I feel like they have to cut him this offseason.
I mean, his value is going down on the market right now. Sometimes this happens where teams seem to like, it's a simultaneous thing where it's like, well, maybe they're underwhelming, underperforming, but then the team is also going away from them because they're not part of the future.
Like if the plan is bring Brock Purdy back, get Ayuk back from injury, Pearsall, Jennings, Debo's not part of that. So why would you build your offense around Debo right now if you're transitioning?
His plummet in production is... Age comes for everyone, and he's at... He was on the precipice of... He was a trade-away. In our Dynasty Pass, I try and highlight some players who I'm willing to trade away. You might want to get out from Debo. Not because of this. This is... This is actual catastrophic.
I thought Debo would just be not worth his redraft price and still give you some points, but holy crap.
There was a point during the year after the Iuka injury where I think if Jason could have traded for Debo in every league, he would have. Yeah. At that juncture, what else lines up?
It really did seem like Debo should go on a run to take over. In the years prior, when one of those guys has been injured, the other just becomes a sensational star.
And you don't have CMC or Mason. That's what I'm saying.
But it looks like it's gone. It does not compute.
All right, it is Friday.
Putt Clan Friday.

News and notes from around the league. Presented by USAA Insurance.
I see Al Borland's in the kind of festive clothing that says he's got an air of confidence in his matchup this week.
That's not what it says.
Dude, congrats, man. It just says I look good.
I get where you're seeing it.
He's got the – are those palm trees or what's going on over there?
Yeah, we're going to call them palm trees. Starfish? Well – Other plants? Whatever. They're palm trees. They're palms.
He's got the sunglasses on the hat. Oh, yeah. I mean, like – This guy is either ready for a tea time or a cruise at just the drop of a hat.
He knows that the three of us are leaving early today. You know what I mean? Al, go ahead and head over to Twitter. Grab the graphic I have sitting on my Twitter profile. I made a small tweak to the King Ghidorah meme that I thought we should share maybe on the show. I enjoyed it. As I go through the news, the Jags tied in. Evan Ingram, surgery, torn labrum, out for the year.
So on Wednesday, when coach Peterson said Evan Ingram, he's going to miss practice, but I think he's going to play. Maybe he didn't know.
He meant again someday.
But how at that point do they not know? If a guy's shoulder is hurting that bad, you're like, oh, we should probably go look at this.
The Chiefs have opened up the 21-day window for Hollywood Brown to return to the team just in time for another playoff run. That's a good time for the Chiefs, not for fantasy. Cedric Tillman, limited, still dealing with a concussion. David Njoku remains sidelined. We've got the report he's not expected to play. We got that late in yesterday's show. And I was worried about this one.
Maybe I'm wrong to be worried even now. But Tony Pollard, once again, not seen and didn't practice on Thursday. That's Wednesday and Thursday DNPs.
Yeah, I mean, I brought it up a little bit when I made him my start of the week yesterday that he missed practice. We need to monitor that because obviously him being healthy is important. Tajay Spears, I think, would actually be a pretty good play if he is the only guy. He's not as talented as Tony Pollard, but he is talented in his own right.
And if he gets all the work with, you know, fresher legs, that would be interesting. Obviously, this isn't ruling him out just because he's missing practice. He's had a lot of workload this year, so just keep monitoring up until game time.
Do we have that picture, Al? Did you find the picture for us?
No, not yet.
Oh, cool.
This computer's not logged into Twitter, and it won't let me see your most recent post without logging in.
I'll send it to you.
Yeah. Jake Hayner starting for the Saints.
They heinous because they ain't us.
Start any defense against the Saints here on out. Alvin Kamara remained sidelined on Thursday due to an illness, so you'll monitor that. He should be good to go. Malik Neighbors limited on Thursday. Hip and groin. Hip and groin. That's like a cool bar. Hey, meet me down at the Hip and Groin.
I'd go there. Yeah.
Drinks are on me at the Hip and Groin. Brees Hall did not practice again on Thursday. Cool. Cool. Cool. Josh Downs. Let's just let him go, man.
Josh Downs.
Jay, what are you doing over here? You are a baffling individual. You're rooting for him to come back. You do nothing but heap just insults, and you're angry at Brees Hall. You want him to go away, and he has done that. And he's not practicing. You're like, why are you practicing? I want you to play. What do you want from this man?
I want him to be great at football and play.
That's what I want. Take a look at this guy. Take a look at this guy up on this. That's the guy. That's the guy that's talking about Brees Hall right there. Yeah. Josh Downs upgraded to a full practice, Jason. If he's active, is it Josh Downs in your lineup?
He might be. It's not a great matchup, but, you know, desperate times.
And a couple of weather updates from yesterday's situations here. What do we know? We know Kansas City, Cleveland could have some wind, some showers, Cincinnati, Tennessee, some scattered showers looking fairly likely. What you don't know is that any sort of elements that are outside of the player's control can only benefit Will Levis' accuracy. So Will Levis actually gets better if you, you know.
Interesting. Yeah, if the ball's wet, if there's wind, snow.
I thought you were going to say after last night that Team Big Dome may have gotten a few more supporters than
playoff dome i'm team playoff dome fantasy playoff dome okay you mean like when the weather gets bad because it's the same time in the calendar every year yeah when it's okay when it's consequential and not just entertainment if only we knew when winter happens we don't have i mean jerry jones knows but no one else oh yes of course um he knows years ago
Is Will Levis one of those guys we're going to find out he's going to have the Jameis Winston, I finally got LASIK experience? Remember Winston? Yeah. We found out Winston was blind most of his life. Yeah, I don't think so.
Yeah, no, this is just... Well, maybe his is not a far or near-sighted. You're near-sighted when you can't see far, right?
I know what he can't see. He can't see whatever's right in his face. That's what I'm saying.
Far-sighted. Maybe he's far-sighted.
He needs some readers in the pocket.
Yeah, he needs some readers. Also, is that not confusing to anybody else?
It's not the best way to do it. I have always... I don't even know and I don't try to remember because I know it doesn't make sense. But then when I try to think through it and the farsighted means you can or cannot see far.
It's telling you like it's giving you the positive part of your vision as the diagnosis, which is not. That's the opposite of all medical diagnosis. If I say I'm farsighted, that means I can see far. For real. Yeah, and if I'm nearsighted, I can see close.
That's the way you have to remember it, but it is backwards. I will never remember.
I mean, I'm trying to think of how that would apply to another medical situation where you're describing the positive to tell you what the negative is. I don't know what that is.
You can be positive for AIDS.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, what?
Give me that graphic again.
What are you doing?
They say you're positive. You know what I mean?
What are you doing over here, dude? He says it knowing how incredible it is.
Jason's tomato face says, he's like, oh, I shouldn't have done that.
Oh, my gosh. Oh, man. This man is living. All right. Quick. Those are inside thoughts, Jason.
I work on this with my kids. Like, we all have impulsive. It's Friday, man.
It's late in the season.
Like, you sometimes have a thought immediately.
You can't control it. I'm positive that wasn't the best thing you've ever said.
Ken Walker not practicing. Justin Herbert and McConkie limited. Bucks, Mike Evans back at practice. Bucky still a question mark. Sterling Shepard missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday. Jalen McMillan, what's up? How you doing? And these are all players that we're going to talk about in the matchups today, so I'm blitzing them real quick. Pickens. Still sidelined with the hamstring.
Trey McBride back out there in a limited fashion. Dalton Kinkade and Keon Coleman finally going to return. All right. And DeAndre Swift did not take part in the walkthrough again on Thursday, which means if you really want to hit that nasty button for Travis Homer because Roshon Johnson's not practicing either. So don't.
Oh, man.

All right. We are back, and we've got matchups to talk about.
It's time for Fantasy Forecast, presented by DraftKings Sportsbook.
All right, yesterday we covered the Chiefs, Browns, Bengals, Titans, Commanders, Saints, Ravens, Giants, Cowboys, Panthers, Jets, Jags, Dolphins, Texans, Colts, Broncos. Seven more matchups today, including, Jason, we get that sweet, sweet. Monday Night Football doubleheader this week, which I am a fan.
I am a fan of that now, too. I think, you know, before most everyone was just streaming and you had your cable company or whatever, it was not as fun. But when you can just kind of put both up on the screen and swipe to the left or to the right to change your audio, it's pretty fun. It's only good if one of the games stinks.
It's a backup option.
Here's the thing. In a fantasy playoff week, I think it's even more fun because there's more players with scores that are just hanging out there for Monday night. Monday night drama. I don't know. Jason, you and Al should look and see a couple things. One, you should look and see if you've got anybody in that Monday night doubleheader.
Two, one of you guys should share your matchup to the Twittersphere because people have been asking.
My lineup changes every day, though, so I can't share it yet. That's true.
Now, if you put your lineup on Twitter, will it get flagged?
Yeah. Yeah, they'll say this is inappropriate content.
55!
NFL points, not fantasy points.
That's right. Did I say fantasy points? You sure did.
Well, I mean, let's hope.
Let's hope there's a lot more than that. This is crazy. This should be a fun one. We got a great game last week. Detroit's defense is hurting. Buffalo gave up 44 points to the Rams, who scored 12 last night. And so let's have some fantasy output in this game. You know, it's the question marks for me are like, do we get a bounce back performance from James Cook? That's one of them.
A bounce back performance from Amon Ross St. Brown, who it's been a little bit. He's left you wanting lately. And then what do you do with the wide receiver room in a game where you have a high over under where you know the Buffalo is going to score a bunch of points? But then at all of their positions outside of Josh Allen, you really don't know what you're going to get.
Yeah, it is tough. I think that the advice is you want players in this game. Because of the injuries to the Detroit Lions defense, what we saw last week from the Buffalo Bills in that Rams game when they were on the road, it was just this insane output of scoring. You want players in this game. It's tough because Amari Cooper last week, 14 targets. That's fantastic.
But there wasn't Keon Coleman active. There wasn't Dalton Kincaid active. Now you've got more kind of mouths to feed. And it's a little bit more difficult to say with, you know, emphatic certainty that Amari Cooper is going to be great. I do think Amari Cooper has a good game.
The fact that he's been fully integrated now, I would want to play Amari Cooper coming off of 14 targets in the highest over-under of the season against a very injured defense with two awesome offenses. So when I'm looking at this game, I want these ancillary pieces. That's why I picked up Keon Coleman. It's risky. It's a gamble. But you just think, which game is going to have a ton of touchdowns?
And this game certainly is at the top of the list this week.
Yeah, you're not going to beat Detroit unless you put points up on the board because they're just such a machine. It's why you can always trust Jameer Gibbs, who's got a DK Russian receiving line of 95.5, David Montgomery, Al Munro, and Jamison Williams. Believe it or not, one of the biggest questions this week, because if you're outside of the must-start tight end category,
Dalton Kincaid's returning to the equation this week. And so two of our top five questions on the website in the start sit tool are Hunter Henry or Dalton Kincaid and Pat Fryermuth or Dalton Kincaid. Knowing that Pickens is going to be out and Fryermuth has scored in two straight, Hunter Henry against Arizona.
Do either of you have any confidence in Kincaid returning to the lineup with the over-unders?
I actually do have confidence in not playing Kincaid.
Nice.
Yeah, so Dalton Kincaid before the injury, 31 yards, 32 yards, 24 yards. That is garbage.
His season high is 52.
That's just unusable. And keep in mind, like 32 yards one of those weeks came on 10 targets. It hasn't worked. It's been out of sync. I'm not using the playoffs as week one with his first week back from injury to throw him in.
On the other side, Laporta, would you play him over both Henry and Fryermuth in a matchup like this?
I would, yeah.
Okay. Are there other question marks in this game? I mean, put the three wide receivers for Buffalo in order for me. Is it Shakir, Cooper, Coleman? Is it Coleman, Shakir?
I would have Shakir at the top. Did we mention his line, his 55? Thank you. His DK receiving line is at 55 and a half. And he's – Khalil Shakir is this weird – player where his name value is still low. Even though we want pieces of Josh Allen offense, he's the wide receiver 28 on the year. He's averaging more than 10 points a week.
He's not a every single week you're expecting humongous things, but He has been really solid for that archetype and that tier of a player. So he's at the top for me.
Yeah, I would have Amari Cooper just from the utilization, the fact that he's more downfield, gets air yards. In a game like this, I would go Cooper, Shakir, Coleman. But Shakir's got a pretty high floor.
There is a chance that if Cooper does have another big game in this one that you're talking about somebody you're now – A league winner. Yeah, you're now really – which he was last year. So you'd be really confident moving forward if he performs in this one. You know, Allen, amazing week last week. And then Jared Goff, is he streamable this week? Is he somebody that you would – For sure.
You know, when you talk about that pivot, if Cooper got disappointed, would Goff be somebody that you'd take the shot – It was a few weeks ago that he had the five-touchdown performance, right? Yeah, four. Four-touchdown performance, yeah.
He was the number one quarterback. Yeah, three last week. He's been throwing some touchdowns, and this is the type of game. He has at home in a dome.
Six straight games in a dome. Third straight game at home.
The thing about the Lions is you know they will score at minimum. No one knows anything. I don't want to be overconfident about it, but if the Lions don't score three touchdowns in this game, I'd be very surprised as their floor.
Yeah, I imagine they will score four touchdowns at least. And if that's the case, you know David Montgomery gets one and Jameer Gibbs gets one. That's like law.
But Gibbs could be passing. Right. Sometimes he gets his one in the passing game.
But the higher level point being, Jason's talking about four touchdowns. You want to have a piece of an option like that.
Yeah, and Jamison Williams is always one big play away. Same with Laporta. Pittsburgh's 10-3. They go to Philly.
Update here on Jeremy and I's matchup.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
So I have no one on Monday night as of this moment, and he has two. And on your roster, but go on. Correct. He has two guys named Bijan Robinson and Justin Jefferson.
That's a lot of points.
So I'm going to need to be up by 50, 60 points, something like that, and I will not be. So, Jeremy, congratulations.
Pittsburgh's 10-3, Philly's 11-2. The DraftKings Sportsbook line, Philly minus 5.5. Over-under is 43. That's fairly low here. Battle of Pennsylvania.
Oh, so the winner gets Pennsylvania.
They do get the state. They've played each other only 81 other times, and Philadelphia leads the series 49-29-3.
Yeah, I thought he said that too. That was the joke.
Oh. That was the joke. The joke was they've only played each other 81 other times.
All right. You got me. Come on. What a great joke. This is no time for joking. Yeah.
This is serious football. Russell, Wilson, and Jalen Hurts. The passing yards line for Hurts is 197.5. I'll take the under. Saquon's a lock, and frankly, A.J. Brown is too, but you're just a bit nervous on what he represents to your lineup.
That's all. Yeah, he's obviously been a very squeaky wheel the last week despite winning.
What do you think he is on the year? Do you know the answer to that?
What his wide receiver number is on the year?
Yeah, like what's his rank?
I do not know. I would guess about 10. Mike? Yeah, he's a top 12 guy.
He's 24th on the year, but I forgot he did miss some time.
On a per game?
I'm going to take a look at the per game real quick. But, yeah, sorry. I didn't want to cut off what you were saying, but you're just, you know, put him out there and expect.
Is that low?
A.J. Brown's at 12 in points per game. Yeah, he's 13.2 points, yeah. But that's just to put it out there, just to make this horrible for you. That's where Addison is. So Addison's at the same place that Brown is. In points per game? In points per game. And Addison's on fire right now, right? Yeah. That is the same place that JSN is at. Yeah, but Addison. That is below McLaurin.
They're not playing for a state.
They're not playing for the rights to own a piece of land known as Pennsylvania.
When that's up in the air, then they're going to go to A.J. Brown.
Right, but if you had Addison, you would go to Brown? I would. That's the question.
I can't. You can't not? I couldn't live with myself.
Die with your champions?
Yeah.
Devontae Smith, 4 for 37, did score last week. You're playing Devontae Smith or Amari Cooper in that high over-under. That's 10 points.
I would lean towards Amari Cooper. Same.
Okay, so there is some hesitancy then on that secondary option. Najee sitting at RB18 on the year. You play him. Pickens almost certainly going to miss this game. There wasn't the pivot to Calvin Austin would have destroyed you last week. One catch for him. I think Van Jefferson scored.
Mike Williams is slowly but surely becoming a little bit more of the offense, but he's only out there for 30% of snaps. Okay.
I'm only playing Najee because he's a running back. You hate the matchup. And the Muth, if you are in desperation for a tight end, like a waiver wire type of a tight end, which there are some teams out there like that. But everybody else, Russ, I'm not playing, and none of the wide receivers will be out there for me.
Yeah, George Pickens missing this game actually hurts, I think, a lot of the players. Because I worry about whether or not the Steelers will be able to score enough points to push the Eagles to be able to need A.J. Brown and Devontae Smith. So it was really sad that he's going to miss this game. You know, the over-under, I was not surprised to see it come in at only 43.
Yeah, and I would lean the under. These are two good defenses and one offense is missing its primary weapon.
And, you know, for what it's worth, Grant Calcaterra, who will get the start at tight end, he has played, you know, last week was three for 16 did score, right? He's played four games this year. We use 90 plus percent of snaps. Last week was one of them. He was the tight end nine, 20, 20 and 11. So, you know, it's a dart throw.
Yeah, to me, that's more like DFS. I'm not going to play him in my playoffs. I think there's better options.
The New England Patriots travel to Arizona to play the Cardinals. Cardinals sitting at 6-7 now. The DraftKings Sportsbook line, Arizona, minus 6 at home. The over-under is 46.5. That gives them 26 points. New England implied point total is 20. Arizona has lost, I think, three straight games. Is that right? Sounds right. Feels like eight. This is their largest.
This is the heaviest they've been a favorite since 2021. So at home against Drake May. People hate the Patriots that much, huh? I don't think they love the Cardinals that much, so yeah. Yeah, I think you're right.
But when you look at this matchup, you look at the Cardinals' defense, just to lay it out there, number one against quarterbacks the last six weeks, number six against wideouts, number three against tight ends. So if you're looking at the Hunter-Henry matchup, you know, the fact – I almost said Amari Hooper. That would be a new player.
But the fact Hooper's involved, a little bit of hesitancy just because the Cardinals have played that position well. Kyler, your start of the week, Mike. Yeah. Trey McBride, touchdown guarantee. Start of my life. Touchdown guarantee this week. He's into the end zone. You might as well just count on that. James Conner, of course. And then Marvin Harrison.
Where does he stack up this week in terms of your rankings? Because it's been so hot and cold. He hasn't had a top 10 finish since week eight.
His receiving yards is at 55.5. Marvin Harrison Jr., supposed to be superstar, was the same line as Khalil Shakir right now.
Where do you think he is in our consensus rankings? Because you might know your own, but where do you think he's landing right now?
30.
Yeah. Yeah, I think that's fair. So that's not a must start. I will say that in Marv's games, he's pretty hot and cold. We've talked about the difference between those games where he gets the touchdown and the games where he doesn't, but it's not just because of the touchdowns. Usually the games where he gets the touchdown, he just – has a much better game all the way around.
More yards, more receptions. And so if you're thinking, is this the type of game that will be good for Marv, it does line up pretty well to be a successful one.
Is there somebody that maybe you would have been starting... maybe you had the Cooper Cup thing happen to you and now you would pivot to Marv? Is there somebody in that category? Is it a Keenan Allen? Is it a Devontae Smith?
Is it an Elijah Moore where now you would, I mean, I guess you never would be playing Elijah Moore over Harrison, but is there a baseline guy that now you would try to shoot for the moon with Marv?
Yeah, I think that that is one of those that makes sense. Keenan makes complete sense. I think DeAndre Hopkins can make sense there as well where I would probably move Marv in ahead.
Romandre Stevenson does play football for the Patriots. He has seemed somewhat invisible during the year, yet is still sitting with a game missed as the RB25 on the year. So very relevant. Not a lot of confidence with Romandre this week.
I know. To be fair, I haven't had confidence in him the entire season and he still he has games with multi touchdowns.
I think he's a flex option. I mean, you you saw last week Zach Charbonnet completely go bonkers on the Arizona Cardinals in Arizona. Now that. I think that's more the Seattle scheme. Yeah, I mean, that seems more like a one-off because the Cardinals defense prior to that game had been very good against the run.
So I don't expect big things from Ramondre, but he gets enough volume where he's a flex option.
Ramondre or Pacheco?
Pacheco. Okay.
Any interest in any wideouts on the New England side?
Or can we move forward? Prefer not. If anybody, it's Douglas, and Douglas has not done anything all year.
Do you expect this to go according to plan here? Do you think Arizona will take care of business at home in this game?
I think they will win. I don't know if they're going to handle that six points, though.
Tampa Bay 7-6, taking on the 8-5 Los Angeles Chargers. The DraftKings Sportsbook line here, Chargers minus 2.5. The over-unders, 45.5. I do like Justin Herbert in this game.
Yep.
Because I like quarterbacks against Tampa Bay. I'm with you. And I also really want to see Ladd McConkie back out there. His receiving yards line is not indicative of an injury that's going to impact him if he takes the field. It's a 71.5.
Yeah, Ladd is in. I know he's a little dicey because you worry, oh, will he re-aggravate the injury? It's a fair worry, and that could be a tiebreaker if there's someone else that you have that's a really good wide receiver and a high tier. But without that, I would definitely be starting Ladd McCulloch. He was... So good. He's so important to this team.
You have Baker and the Bucs can often put up points against good defenses. So if this turns into a shootout, you had three top 24 performances in a row right up before the injury. Two of those were, you know, the wide receiver 12, the wide receiver 10. Ladd should be in your lineup.
Despite, I think, getting banged up in week seven against Arizona and being hobbling off the field at different times, he hasn't really had a game where that has translated into, like, I'm out there, you know, I'm leaving for half the game. When he's played, he's played through it. So if they have the confidence to start him, I'd have the confidence in him
The fact that the prop is even out is – Yeah. Like they don't – when a player is a level of questionable, they don't usually have a prop, and a prop that is that juicy.
What level of terror possesses your soul at the moment around Bucky Irving's availability, and if he's available, what you would do?
We're at pretty – Like it's Friday the 13th.
Yeah. How terrifying?
Probably exorcist level.
That exercise level for Bucky?
Yeah, I would say the head can spin. The projectile can vomit.
Yeah.
Okay.
The projectile can vomit.
Yeah.
So the projectile.
It would come as more of a rain pour down upon you.
Yeah, and he gets it.
Yeah. Rashad White's my start of the week. I do have confidence there. Mike Evans, yeah, you play him. Kate Otten, it's been scary. Yes, ma'am. That's what I heard, too. Five weeks since you looked at me.
I mean, how many weeks? How many weeks has it been?
It's been four weeks.
Yes, ma'am, four weeks.
since i had confidence yeah uh he's not been inside the top 10 in four weeks last week he had one big play at the end of the game a 44 yard uh reception that made him viable but on the course of the season the chargers are the number one uh most difficult matchup for tight ends this hurts is that a full pivot do you want to pivot away from him i would prefer to pivot away from on
Yeah, I would rather play Ertz than Otten right now. Ertz has a touchdown in three straight games and a much better matchup. This is a difficult matchup for him. And also, you know, I talked about how Baker... This often sometimes can really surprise and come out and look great, especially with Mike Evans back. However, the Chargers have, you know, this is a team that likes to hit the under.
This is a team that plays good defense. And so I have Baker on my roster, and right now he's not in my lineup.
I would try so hard not to play him.
Yeah, I'm scared of Baker and Kate Otten in this.
His last five games, Baker's pace would be 3,800 yards and 23 touchdowns. He has cooled off considerably. He really has.
It's been a bummer.
And it's not been, I mean, New York, Carolina, Las Vegas. The last three weeks are all weeks that said start, start, start, right? Yeah. And this week you're saying the matchup is not good. So, yeah, I would try to get somebody else out. I'd put Herbert out there for sure.
Do you have, for a running back needy team, let's say Bucky is actually out, what's your interest in Sean Tucker for the Bucs? Or do you think it'll just go be a really heavy Rashad White?
I think it'll be extremely heavy Rashad White. Sean Tucker might be used around the goal line. I mean, he's the type of player that can come in and vulture a touchdown, and so you could get lucky in that way. But again, not a good matchup for projecting that. So it would be Rashad White as like a, Super confident start, and I would not want to play with Sean Tucker.
Yeah, if they were playing a horrible rush defense, I would be willing to do it.
And then one last, it's probably a DFS play, of course, but hey, shout out to Stone Smart. Oh, yeah. Who will be projected as the starting tight end for the Los Angeles Chargers.
Shout out to anybody starting Stone and Sincere this week.
Yeah, those are some grade A names. But after Big Montana left last week with the injury, three for 54 from Stone Smart.
All right, Sunday Night Football. Is he the stone man?
Do you know? Oh, that I don't know. Because that would be really nice. I know he's the stone man. Fair. But I don't know if he's stone man. Hope he doesn't have stone hands. Well, it's three for 54, man. One of those catches was great.
Cuge, would you flex him? Yeah, I would. Green Bay, Owls team, Sunday night football, 9-4, the Seahawks 8-5. DraftKings Sportsbook line here, Green Bay minus 2.5. The over-under is 45.5. I believe if the Packers win this ballgame, that would put the Rams at the tippy-top of the West with Seattle.
So my preseason bold prediction of the Rams winning the division that looked as dumb as dumb can be weeks ago, somehow that division is just so dysfunctional that they might end up on top of it, even when they can't score touchdowns. Green Bay, they're in sixth. They're an NFC wildcard team. Seattle's the top of the division.
What we've seen recently from these teams production-wise has been the running backs. Josh Jacobs, Zach Charbonnet last week. The opportunities, the touchdowns. The work has been outrageous for Jacobs. The team has never been intimidated to use him extensively. It's not necessarily been huge, profound, efficient yardage games, but when you score eight times in four weeks, that's pretty good.
That's pretty nice. Jason, you know, Al has got Josh Jacobs. You've got to imagine he's due for a regression.
I'm hoping that he is. This is your voodoo dark magic.
I would not be surprised.
Yeah, I mean, the truth is when we were talking about earlier in the season that he had so many rushing opportunities and yardage with no rushing touchdowns that that that was going to regress to the mean. And the touchdowns would come.
And now it is flipped so far back, I think it is sound advice to just say it probably is not going to stay where he's scoring a touchdown to three touchdowns every single week. And that has been hurting the passing game and the fantasy value of some of these wide receivers. So this could be the game. You know, it makes sense to me that...
Jordan Love would be able to have a better game, and maybe one of these wide receivers like Jaden Reed, wild card, goes from goose to golden goose.
The last eight weeks, number one running back, Saquon Barkley. Number two, Josh Jacobs in points per game. And those two are kind of separated from the field. That's how good he has been. So if you've been riding that, get him in there and see if it continues.
How would you order the wide receivers? And I guess, who is your number one? Is it still Jaden Reed off the goose? Is it Christian Watson?
I think it's Watson. It's not just a goose. The Jaden Reeds, which there are some touchdowns in here. So, like for fantasy, he has come through a little bit over the last month. But yardage is two weeks ago – or last week was zero. Two weeks ago it was 24, 26, 23. 1-13, 55-10, 28. Like, this has been – it's more common for him this year to be a low yardage guy.
Would you rather start Jaden Reed or Keenan Allen? Oh, my gosh.
I think that it's, you know, when you look at – Okay, Jaden Reed or Jamar Chase. Chase.
Okay. Way to get us going.
Way to get us started.
Thank you. Keenan Allen gets Minnesota. Minnesota.
Look, I'll be the one to say it. I think Jaden Reed bounces back this way. All right. This is not uncommon in the Packers' offense. This is the head coach has said, I hate defining anybody as the one in my offense. He hates the media doing that. Christian Watson, you can't chase what Christian Watson just did because he never does it twice in a row.
He hasn't done that throughout his career other than a, what, three-game stretch with Aaron Rodgers a couple years ago. Last week, seven targets. Here's what you know about Watson. He's going to be out there almost every play. That's cool. Is it him or Jaden Reed? I don't think the other guys are even in the conversation in terms of who you'd operate or order.
I mean, Dobbs and Wicks are just not who you'd put in order ahead of it. I'd go Reed, Watson in the same very close ranking.
Does Reed get a touchdown? I don't know. Okay. I was one that – I haven't watched the game yet. Well, but that's what I was asking because I was hoping it tingled the little feathers on the back of your neck or whatever you have.
The feathers on my back. I don't know what you do with your touchdown guarantees.
Yeah, my feathers are tingling. Let's get that graphic back up. Let's get that bad boy back up there. Yeah.
It's Friday. No, I mean, I'm just saying that I think you can go back to Reed. That's all I'm saying. It's the wide receiver 13 on the year. It's a game that they're going to need to score some points, and I think that Jaden Reed's pretty – he'll be vocal about what happened.
It's not the zero for me where I'm like, if I'm out on Jaden Reed. It's not because of the zero. It's because it's been consistently rough.
All right, and then DK Metcalf, JSN are both of them ahead of the Packers wide receivers?
Yeah.
And in the opposite order of how I just read it? Yeah, JSN, I mean, wild.
And Charbonnet is sitting pretty this week. I mean, he's a top 15 guy by consensus for us.
For sure. The last six weeks, the Packers are 25th against running backs. So over the course of the season, they might look a little better, but recently they've been giving up points. So Charbonnet's must start.
This should be an interesting game.
Yeah, I mean, it's very important for NFL purposes, standings, playoff seeding, all that.
Yeah. All right, we'll take a break, and we'll come back with our doubleheader on Monday night.
Hey, I'm Ryan Reynolds. Recently, I asked Mint Mobile's legal team if big wireless companies are allowed to raise prices due to inflation. They said yes. The Chicago Bears, 4-9, taking on the 11-2 Minnesota Vikings. Minnesota 6.5-point home favorites. The over-under is 43.5. Minnesota barely beat the Bears in Week 12 overtime, 30-27.
Was that the game where they were crushing the Bears? I believe they were killing the Bears, and then the Bears had some crazy, like the last two or three minutes of the game somehow got it back to overtime and then lost.
Touchdown, two-point conversion, onside kick, field goal, overtime. They never should have done any of that. They lost anyways.
Right.
Minnesota 6-1 at home. They averaged 28 points a game at home. Sam Darnold coming off a five-touchdown performance that was delightful. Thank you, Sam. You won me a bye week. Jefferson, yep. Addison on fire. Jason, start of the week. Hawkinson, my start of the week. The signs and signals right here are play your Vikings and play all the ones you've been playing. And maybe even play Sam Darnold.
Sam Darnold's a fine play. He has been a good quarterback for this whole stretch run. So it's going to be, you know, hopefully if you had Brock Purdy or Sam Darnold, you chose Darnold. You know, yesterday that you went with Brock, or not with Brock Purdy, but with Sam Darnold. I think Sam Darnold is, like, Andy, you've got Justin Herbert as your start of the week.
It's a good matchup against Tampa Bay. I would rather start Sam Darnold.
Yeah, me too. And Darnold's two out of the last three games in the top five. His touchdown pace over the last four is 46. And when you have Addison playing at this level where you have two explosive players, like Addison, no matter what, cannot get the coverage that is going to Jefferson. Like Addison, he's in the best position possible.
He's in the Juju Smith-Schuster when Antonio Brown was on the other side benefit. So it's awesome because he's an explosive player. He can score from distance. So, yeah, start all your Vikings. On the other side, Pray, because I don't want – look, DeAndre Swift might miss this game. If he doesn't, he should miss this game for your fantasy lineup. He does have a line, though. He's at 53 and a half.
I think he's going to play. But that's not a player I want to play. Oh, I agree. Because the Vikings are number one against the run, and the likelihood of this game going – Would you pivot to someone like Ramondre Stevenson?
Oh, yeah. If that's an easy pivot, that shows – please try to bench DeAndre Swift.
Those Packers wideouts you just mentioned or any of these wideouts for the Bears.
Oh, man.
Like DJ Moore had a 100-yard game against Minnesota. His line's at 5.5 receptions.
It makes sense, like the matchup is there, but the fact that the Bears just continually go into halftime with absolute nothingness. With like a dozen yards? I know they've been doing that and then pulling it out in the second half, but that is... That is some real sketchy stuff.
I have to count on this team for one half to give me everything that I need because they can't seem to figure anything out in the first half.
I do think DJ Moore is an okay start. Since the transition was made at coordinator, they've utilized him better. The matchup is really nice. His explosive ability means that you could end up with a very big game. So, you know, you talk about adding volatility in. DJ Moore, I mean, it's not. Yeah, that's fair. He is someone that can be boom bust.
He can go out there and score five points, but there's not a handful, there's not a ton of people that can go out there and score 25 points. You could see that from DJ Moore in a game like this.
Yeah, and their running game is going to be potentially just not a part of the equation. And Caleb Williams has been surprisingly way better in the second half of ballgames. So if they got behind 12 touchdowns in the second half, only four in the first. The other Monday night game is Atlanta at 6-7, who have been struggling. And congrats, you get to play the Raiders.
Can't they flex Monday games out? You got to flex them ahead of time. Yeah, but I think we could see this one coming from a couple months ago.
Yeah, this is not good. Atlanta's a four-point favorite. The over-under is 44. Mike, this is why you want two games. Yeah, I guess. So you have the Falcons where Kyle pulled out a wild stack. Kirk Cousins has stayed within the pocket 99.4% of the time on his dropbacks. That is the highest in the league. That is the second highest since 2018. He cannot move. You watch the games. He can't move.
You think about the plays that define Sam Darnold this year when you watch him. It's – even Caleb Williams' great plays, right? It's escapability.
You have to be able to move.
Move up, move through the rush. The big play to Jefferson last week was an example by Darnold. Cousins used to be able to do that. Right now he can't, and he's thrown no touchdowns in four games. Now that streak should end.
Yeah, he'll throw a touchdown in this game, which is great – Probably. Yeah, that was on purpose. I think he'll throw a touchdown in this game, but that's good news for Drake London. His receiving line is at 66 and a half, and we've talked about he's been pretty decent for fantasy.
He's not been disappointing through this Kirk Cousins terrible stretch, but it hasn't been great because there have been no touchdowns. I think Drake gets a touchdown this week.
And I like Darnell Mooney again. Just the separation that he's getting has been very friendly when it comes to Kirk Cousins. Both of those players right now, very close in fantasy points per game. Mooney's at 11.2 on the year. London's at 12.3. So London's always the better bet for a touchdown with that size. So both of them are in play in this matchup. Kyle Pitts, if you hate yourself...
Oh. I don't think you can do it.
No, don't. I mean, I will say this.
Love yourself this weekend, people. Don't play Kyle Pitts.
I will say this.
If you did something wrong and you're afraid of Cole in the stocking and you need to pay penance, maybe you start Kyle Pitts so that you can...
Let's say you had Cooper Cup, okay? And you're starting. You don't want to. Yeah, okay. Okay, and so right now you've got Kate Otten in there.
I mean, there's no situation you're going to paint. There's no brush or paint set. You cannot create me a world where I will play Kyle Pitts.
Would you rather play Stone Smart? Yes.
Yes.
Now, I want to remind you, the Raiders are very, very bad against tight ends. 32nd in the last six weeks. Kyle Pitts is very, very bad as a tight end. Okay. All right.
I just had to try. He's had one or zero catches in three or four games.
Yeah, in the last three weeks combined.
But he's 24 years old, Andy. 1.4 fantasy points, 0 and 1.9.
You might as well start 23 yards in three weeks. Total.
If I could sub Cooper Cup out right now as my flex and instead get Kyle Pitts' score, I still wouldn't do it.
Yeah, just out of self-respect.
It's a matter of principle.
Brock Bowers or Kyle Pitts?
I'm going to go Bowers. Thank you for that start. Our start set tools should be exclusive to only big disparities. Please choose someone else if it's too close. London, Mooney, Bijon, yes. Log out there. Sincere McCormick on the other side. You're talking about a guy that's going to get every chance to be the only relevant, one of the only relevant players on this Raiders offense.
Aiden O'Connell, we'll see if he's back out there, but McCormick and Bowers are in. I think Jacoby Myers is probably fine.
Jacoby Myers is great. I mean, the Falcons right now on the season, they're dead last against wide receivers. Jacoby Myers, now it's Aiden O'Connell looking to play. I would like to play Jacoby Myers. I think he's a good play this week.
That changes, though, if Ritter's your starter, right? Yes, it does.
Yes.
Yeah. Ten or more targets for Jacoby Myers in four of five weeks. It's not going to be sexy. You might not want to watch the game, but you'll probably be okay with the output there, and that'll do it for today's matchups. I don't think we have any more segments, right? I think we got one. I believe there's one.
The producer said we got one.
Fantasy Face-Off, presented by DraftKings.
This year has been very, very close. We are, what, that's 13 weeks? Because we didn't play in week one? I have five firsts, four seconds, four thirds. Jason's 4-4-5, and Mike is 4-5-4. So we have really been quite even as we head into this week, but it's my turn for the Wheel of Shame.
Wheel of Shame.
192.98.
Did you enter that in the Millie Maker? I didn't, and I regretted it. Yeah, I mean, I tell you, every week you got to do that. All right, spin that stupid, stupid, stupid wheel.
All right, it is spinning, ladies and gentlemen. We got Mall Cop. I think it landed on a week off. Silly Wabbit. Ice cream?
Oh, no.
Oh, we have landed on Pretty Princess.
Pretty Pretty Princess. Aw, it's like T-Swift is back on the show again. Oh, she's back. She's back. I should have just done Taylor Swift.
Brought a razor out. Yes. Okay. We got the hair.
We got the tiara. There we go. And then there's one last thing. Oh, we're going to put it over the top.
Yeah, baby. Oh, Andy was so happy. I thought I got away. What?
What shade is that lipstick over there? It's not a good shade, man. It's Taylor Swift red, baby. Put that lipstick. Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Good luck getting that off. Been there before, brother.
Oh, what a pretty princess you are. Yeah. Okay. It looks great.
I'm not happy right now. I got to go meet a kind of go meet a contractor after this. Oh, that's right. Oh, all right. I'm going to start us off. All right. Give me your, the pretty princess will, um, start Kyla Murray at quarterback. It was a late pivot this morning. I'm going $6,000 to Kyla Murray.
Wild. I am saving $100 off of that, and I'm going with Justin Herbert, your start of the week at $5,900. I got Kyler.
Oh, really? By the way, this tiara is digging into my brain.
It's the tightest. I tried that tiara on when we got it, and it hurt my head so much.
Oh, my gosh. I bet I could break that thing. Also, I'm looking at the screen. I don't think I'm a pretty princess. No, you look awful. Just believe. Hey, guys. Who do you got running back? I've got Chase Brown at 7,200 against Tennessee. I've got Rashad White at 5,800 for the Buccaneers against the Chargers.
I have Rashad White as well at 5,800. I did not see a world where I couldn't put in Derrick Henry in cash. 8,300, very expensive, but he should have one to two million yards.
Yeah, I don't have the king. He's so expensive. I got Chase Brown. Okay. And then I... Got Rico Dowdle at 6,100.
Thought about it.
Against the Carolina Panthers.
I'd be sad if you didn't. I'd be just so disappointed in you.
What stinks is the Rashad White price is cheaper, and he's probably going to catch more passes than Dowdle, but again, show of integrity, I got to put Dowdle in.
Mm-hmm.
I am a pretty princess.
You are.
Last week, I almost got to 200 going with my all J team. So I'm going all A team this week. I've got Adam Thielen, Amari Cooper, and Amon Ross St.
Brown. All right. I've got Nico Collins at 8,100. Matchup be darned. Got Tyreek Hill on the other side of that at $7,400. And then beware my stack attack, ladies and gentlemen. It's Kyler Murray paired with Michael Wilson.
I almost did that. My tight end, I assumed that I was going to get a couple guys on the other side of this desk that were going to take the cheapie. I went with Stone Smart.
I went with Stone Smart. Stone Smart.
Yeah, 2,600. I figured that would be dumb of me not to do that and match you guys. My flex, I don't know if you've heard of him, Jameer Gibbs. Jameer Gibbs is my flex for 7,500, and I ended up going with the Cardinals defense against New England at 3,000. Oh, did the waivers run?
No.
Oh, my gosh. We're in drafting right now.
You're doing a podcast. I know. I want the waivers to run before the podcast is over. Let's see here. Your flex and your DST. Brian Robinson Jr. in that matchup against the Saints at 6,200. And my defense is the Chargers, which I don't love that.
Well, I'm high T here. 12 personnel yet again, boys, because Trey McBride figured I was I'm told he's going to get a touchdown. So that's a guaranteed two touchdowns to my lineup with Kyler and Trey McBride. And then I went with the Cleveland Browns against the Kansas City Chiefs. They're at home. There could be some weather here. And Mahomes is like like this season.
He's loved throwing interceptions.
all right all right i got him just update i want the people to know oh boy wow i am putting in sam darnold he was on the waivers he was sorry i am putting in sam darnold the guy who i've besmirched so much i am writing with my golden ticket darnold you're you're facing justin jefferson yes okay which i thought you didn't want I don't want the wide receiver in that situation.
I think the reverse, he can still have an awesome game with everyone else.
Al, your thoughts on the matter there?
I'd rather face Jameis.
