Chapter 1: What has changed in Nate Belmar's training approach since last time?

27.199 - 34.863 Host

All right, guys, got Mr. Belmar, Nate, back on the show. Good to be back. Been about eight months. It has. What's changed since the last episode for you?

0

35.724 - 59.157 Host

A lot's changed. I've actually been training less in terms of hypertrophy and fasting more, walking more. Basically, yeah, kind of split testing different methodologies, tactics, and sequences to get lean. Specifically lean, not putting on so much size without training. Because I feel like there's a law of diminishing returns.

0

59.758 - 79.507 Host

Like how many times do you have to go to the gym to get the results that you want, right? If you really think about it, most guys at least just... Based on sheer observation, when I go to the gym, they go and they half-ass it, bro. They don't train till failure. Then they go chit-chat. And then the next day, they can go again and train. Why?

0

79.627 - 102.7 Host

Because they haven't really pushed themselves to failure. The idea is train so hard in a manner that you don't get injured, but you still hit that... limit as to where you can rest the next few days. Focus on your business, focus on relationships, go pick up a book, study. It's not always, I can't go travel. I can't go on a vacation because there's no gym. So one thing is to say it.

0

102.98 - 118.79 Host

Another thing is to try to apply it and see if there's results. So right now I'm on the skinnier side frame, but definitely looking lean and feeling good, bro. Yeah, you look way leaner than last time. Yeah. You probably lost like 15 pounds. Yeah. Well, the last time I saw you, that's when I did the fat experiment. I was like going from the fat to shreds the second time without that much training.

124.833 - 124.533 Host

220?

125.213 - 127.295 Host

No, but when I got... When I saw you, no, I was like...

Chapter 2: Why is flexibility important for longevity and avoiding injury?

128.415 - 150.5 Host

195 okay what are you right now i'm at 180 but i think ideal weight 190 but even then bro it's always a give and a take i realize when i start training more hypertrophy eating more more money more time in the gym and then you also start losing mobility so it's a give and a take so it's kind of like if i'm going to train more build more muscle i'm going to also have to stretch more

0

151.4 - 159.345 Host

to kind of like mitigate because I'm not going to do the whole gym, bro. I less can't go through a door. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. So you believe as a man, flexibility is important.

0

160.405 - 165.208 Host

I believe it. And so do women believe it. Yeah, seriously. I'm being that serious.

0

165.228 - 165.628 Host

I love it.

0

165.848 - 174.373 Host

Yeah. Yeah. Because some guys see it as gay or whatever. But I mean, I'm an athlete. Yeah. Like I want to be the best basketball player I can. And flexibility is important for not getting injured.

175.074 - 183.815 Host

Not getting injured and just like, not being a bot, not being an NPC that's obsessed with bigorexia.

183.835 - 184.377 Host

Hmm.

185.322 - 205.806 Host

It's never enough. I got to get bigger and bigger and bigger, max out on one stat, and then not focus on the rest of things because it's not so flashy. It's not so cool. But let me tell you, I prefer being ripped, shredded, 70, 80, doing the splits, being able to pick up my grandchildren, having a holistic approach to life, not obsessed with the location. And the blueprint's there, dude.

206.427 - 225.738 Host

The blueprint's there. Big physique, a lot of hypertrophy, not only does it steal mitochondrial density, but But it also, the blueprint's there. You see bodybuilders 50, 60. Is that a physique you want? I can tell you, bro, the rebound effect is there and you can see it. You can see it. People are dropping dead at that age if they're a bodybuilder. If they're lucky.

Chapter 3: Can adults increase their height through stretching and decompression?

291.776 - 299.882 Host

It's like trying to pursue the fitness endeavor, the fitness lifestyle with a different approach, bro.

0

300.717 - 317.5 Host

The Trilight from Therasage is no joke. Medical grade red and near infrared light with three frequencies per light. Deep healing, real results, and totally portable. It's legit. Photo bio modulation tech in a flexible on body panel. This is the Trilight from Therasage and it's next level red light therapy.

0

317.64 - 339.31 Host

It's got 118 high powered polychromatic lights, each delivering three healing frequencies, red and near infrared from 580 to 980 nanometers. Optimal penetration, enhanced energy, skin rejuvenation, pain relief, better performance, quicker recovery, and so much more. Verisage has been leading the game for over 25 years and this panel is FDA listed and USB powered.

0

339.89 - 360.406 Host

Ultra soft and flexible and ultra portable. On-body red light therapy I use daily and I take it everywhere I travel. This is the Thera O3 Ozone Module from Therasage. It's a portable ozone and negative ion therapy in one. It boosts oxygen, clears and sanitizes the air, and even helps your mood. It's a total game changer at home or on the go.

0

360.606 - 383.412 Host

This little device is the Thera O3 Ozone Module by Therasage, and it's one of my favorite wellness tools. In the sauna, it boosts ozone absorption through your skin up to 10 times, oxygenating your blood and supporting deep detox. Outside the sauna, it purifies the air, killing germs, bacteria, viruses, and mold, and it improves mood and sleep. Negative ion therapy.

383.792 - 407.003 Host

It's compact, rechargeable, and perfect for travel, planes, offices, hotel rooms, you name it. It's like carrying clean energy wherever you go. This is the Thera H2 Go from Therasage. The only bottle with molecular hydrogen structured water and red light in one. It hydrates, energizes, and detoxes water. Upgraded. The Thera H2 Go from Therasage isn't just a water bottle. It's next level hydration.

407.224 - 425.173 Host

It infuses your water with molecular hydrogen, one of the most powerful antioxidants out there. That means less oxidative stress, more energy, and faster recovery. But here's what makes it stand out. It's the only bottle that also structures your water and adds red light to supercharge it. It's sleek, portable, and honestly, I don't go anywhere without it.

425.493 - 448.738 Host

like think outside the box bro i mean if everyone's doing it it's usually a bad sign if everybody's doing it 90 of people 90 of results average training average results on average training on average results bro absolutely you had one video i saw about getting taller is that possible when you're an adult it is possible luke's actually taller than me last time i linked up with him because i linked up i

449.861 - 465.244 Host

We took a few months off. He was side questing. When we played, when we went to go watch the Argentina game against Columbia, I was taller than him, bro. For like half an inch, an inch. When we linked up, he was taller than me. He'd been doing a few stretches and everything. I'm like, dang it. He's like, yeah.

Chapter 4: What are effective strategies for lean gains without overtraining?

543.168 - 567.084 Host

Because even if, hypothetically speaking, you had fantastic grip strength and you could isolate the strength only in the hands, and like... some magical way being able to like let your spine loose while you're holding the bar with strength. It's very hard. I've tried it. I think it's more for grip strength. I think the smart idea here is full decompression of the spine means completely letting go.

0

567.104 - 587.112 Host

So what I like doing is wrapping hooks around the bar, focusing on my, and just as I let the air go, get into a stretch. The problem is some people, if they don't have a strong spine or an agile spine, just the decompression itself hurts. So you kind of have to, it's like a progressive overload. I would probably start hanging first with my hands, then the hooks.

0

587.332 - 600.024 Host

And then the last variation is adding ankle weights. So I'll hang with the hooks, five, 10 minutes, ankle weights, five to 10 pounds on each decompression. Focus on breathing, mobility. And that really helps, bro. And that...

0

600.535 - 620.265 Host

If you're building something, doesn't matter if it's a business, a brand, or just a better version of yourself, then you already know the work never really stops. Your brain is always on. Ideas at 2 a.m., problems at 3, plans at 4. But here's the truth. If you never shut down, you're going to crash fast. That's why I use Sambrosa. It's not hype. It's not some trendy sleep hack.

0

620.545 - 640.094 Host

It's a legit syrup that helps you fall asleep when your brain won't let you. You take it, and 20 to 30 minutes later, you're out. Not groggy, not jogged up, just to sleep like you're supposed to be. Then you wake up clear with no brain fog, no dragging yourself out of bed. You get your hours in and you actually feel like you slept. Sleep isn't optional. It's not self-care. It's strategy.

640.494 - 657.841 Host

If you're not getting it right, you're leaving energy, focus, and money on the table. Sambrosa helps me sleep. It helps me execute. That's the only reason I talk about it. If you want to get ahead, start by getting real rest. Check out the link below in their website, www.sambrosasambrosa.com.

660.206 - 685.783 Host

I'm telling you, the way you train affects the way you look in terms of your aesthetics. If I train abdominals a certain way, if I only do compression exercise a certain way, I'll have a boxy torso based on the epigenetic program that I subjected my body to over months and months and months. Done. Like it's there.

686.103 - 705.509 Host

So it's like, what are you going to do now that you have the information to hedge yourself? You can start stretching. You can start decompressing from the spine. Because one thing is to talk about it. Oh, it's great. Or debate whether it works or not. And everything is for you to try it a couple months. See the results. But decompression... As it comes, it goes, bro. Yeah.

706.009 - 712.052 Host

Like I said, Luke is taller than me right now. Crazy. And I'm kind of pissed off. So I'm going to do a little more stretching. Got to outgrow him.

Chapter 5: Why is running considered harmful and what are better cardio alternatives?

1153.552 - 1175.249 Host

You know what I've been doing also? A lot of training while I'm walking. So like shoulder mobility drills, I'll grab my shirt, I'll grab bands, and I'll do stretches. And it's kind of like ideally 10K steps, bro. And what people don't realize is you can get a lot done while you're walking. Like you can listen, you can have conversations, you can be on a business call. You can get more done. And...

0

1176.266 - 1188.439 Host

it also clears your mind. Like you walking in nature is completely different than you walk in an EMF treadmill looking at the news while wearing a mask. I don't use treadmills. Treadmills are bodied. Yeah. It's just not a pleasant experience at all.

0

1188.479 - 1193.724 Host

No. It's like not getting anywhere. Your brother, though, he recommended, what's her name?

0

1193.904 - 1208.124 Host

Julio. Julio. Well, Julio, any form of exercise would help Julio. But I feel like Julio needs to stop talking less, stop eating less, and start fasting more. Yeah. And start studying more. Yeah.

0

1208.364 - 1215.827 Host

I'm a big on. I just did my first three-day fast. Congrats. Felt amazing. Do you feel like it kind of fluctuated? Like it felt good, then bad, then good?

1215.988 - 1216.088 Host

Yeah.

1216.188 - 1223.971 Host

First day was tough because your body just naturally wants to eat or whatever. Second day, easy. Third day, somewhere in the middle, I'd say. Yeah. Yeah.

1224.571 - 1232.315 Host

It's honestly amazing, bro. Like fasting is probably one of the biggest hacks people can tap into. And it's free.

1232.615 - 1232.815 Host

Mm-hmm.

Chapter 6: How does fasting benefit your health and what should you know before starting?

Chapter 7: What are some valuable wellness tools and supplements recommended by the hosts?

425.493 - 448.738 Host

like think outside the box bro i mean if everyone's doing it it's usually a bad sign if everybody's doing it 90 of people 90 of results average training average results on average training on average results bro absolutely you had one video i saw about getting taller is that possible when you're an adult it is possible luke's actually taller than me last time i linked up with him because i linked up i

0

465.524 - 483.748 Host

And I didn't want to admit it, but we were side to side and we asked some ladies and he was an inch taller. And he's been doing some stretches. Because now people think it's like, oh, it's crazy. I'm like, is it crazy or is it the other side of the spectrum? Because one side of the spectrum is compression. You look at your parents.

0

483.968 - 500.534 Host

Are they the same height they were when they were kids or in their teens or 20s? No. The blueprint's there. People are starting to hunch over. The spine's starting to compress. If you're not doing anything to mitigate that, you just succumb to the subjective laws of entropy, right? Being a man and

0

501.832 - 519.115 Host

Degrading degrading degrading and then you're only amplifying it with a bad lifestyle sedentary lifestyle So yeah, you can get taller by decompressing the spine by doing certain exercises Yeah, but it's very hard to do that if you're always doing machine always hypertrophy No, you look like a golden graham hanging off a pull-up bar. Yeah, is that a good one?

519.555 - 542.707 Host

I think that's great So it's a progressive overload for that. Um, because I have a lot of guys snobs they think they know it all it's kind of like bro, why are you going to hang from a bar with your hands? Because I tell people hang with hooks, right? You grab a wrist, metal hook, because the idea here is full decompression of the spine. The idea here is not to work on your grip strength.

543.168 - 567.084 Host

Because even if, hypothetically speaking, you had fantastic grip strength and you could isolate the strength only in the hands, and like... some magical way being able to like let your spine loose while you're holding the bar with strength.
