Chapter 1: How is AI transforming businesses today?

27.765 - 33.73 Host

All right, guys. Ephraim Epstein here today from San Diego. Cybersecurity expert. Thanks for coming on, man.

0

33.79 - 39.274 Host

Yeah, man. Thank you, Sean. Absolutely. A pleasure. I'm excited to be on your podcast. Yeah. I'm a big fan.

0

Chapter 2: What challenges come with AI integration?

39.565 - 44.147 Host

So for those that don't know, you built a $30 million business and revenue with 116 employees.

0

44.327 - 69.12 Host

Yes, sir. Yeah. So in IT, cybersecurity, and now we're doing a lot in AI. So it's been a fun ride. I love being an entrepreneur and I love the business side of it. You know, IT and cyber and AI is kind of what we do, but it's more about the mission to impact lives through technology and help people positively and have a great time. I love it, man.

0

69.28 - 71.483 Host

When was the pivot to AI? Were you on it pretty early?

0

73.425 - 103.545 Host

The AI pivot was probably like a year ago. Okay. So I wouldn't say super early, but I think right now it's still super early because... it's moving fast but the majority of businesses still don't have ai in the company like actively replacing headcount or something like that right they might be using applications to like give them ideas on writing papers or creating uh images or video

0

Chapter 3: How does AI impact job markets?

104.085 - 117.439 Host

But the way AI is going, it's kind of sad and it's kind of scary in some sense, but it is going to replace a lot of jobs. You're already seeing it on certain drive-thrus when you call and make your order. You're talking to AI and not a human yet.

0

117.459 - 118.48 Host

I haven't seen that yet.

0

118.5 - 141.129 Host

Fast food spots? Yeah, some fast food spots are adopting that. Wow. That's a job, right? That's someone's job. But a lot of business owners are saying, hey, how do we bring AI into this business? We don't want to get left behind. What do we do? And so as I was diving into AI, I wanted not just a feature set, but I wanted something...

0

141.789 - 167.759 Host

That is like, where is it actively adding revenue to the company or replacing a task that a human does? And where we've landed on is texting. So because the voice is getting there, it's not quite 100% there. I think it'll be there in about a year. But right now, texting, you can communicate via text with an AI. And the majority of people will not know they're talking to an AI.

0

167.779 - 176.064 Host

Dude, have you seen Apple's new AI update? I haven't played with it yet. What? Yeah, I need to. Oh my God. Update your phone tonight. It's in my text now.

176.185 - 178.987 Host

I just got the update. I just haven't played with it yet.

179.027 - 187.614 Host

Yeah. So basically when I open my messages now, you know how normally the text pops up? Yep. Now AI summarizes what they said and sends you a summary of each text.

187.914 - 188.114 Host

Yeah.

188.374 - 192.618 Host

It's nuts. So like someone can send a paragraph text and AI will summarize it for you in like a sentence.

Chapter 4: Why is cybersecurity crucial in nursing homes?

901.983 - 904.405 Host

That's terrible. Yeah. Crypto, once you lose it, you're not really.

0

904.765 - 906.047 Host

Yeah. Like really, what can they do?

0

906.067 - 910.25 Host

I got sim hacked once. That sucked. Have you seen that hack before?

0
0

910.911 - 916.776 Host

That's like the worst. Yeah. Because if they get your sim card, they got all your texts and everything. Everything. Yeah. Your email.

916.796 - 920.939 Host

Yeah. They can do multi-factor authentication, get in as you on logins.

921.059 - 926.504 Host

There's a lot of carriers that really, I guess, tighten their security when that started happening because they were getting sued.

927.325 - 927.565 Host

Yeah.

927.805 - 928.546 Host

For allowing that.

Chapter 5: What are the methods used in modern cyber attacks?

1008.626 - 1015.23 Host

Nuts. And nothing ever happened to those hackers, I believe. They got rich. They got rich, but nothing trouble-wise happened.

0

1015.526 - 1020.732 Host

No, absolutely not. Now they're going to probably have more money to hire more staff.

0

1021.172 - 1029.405 Host

They went after Caesars the next week, I believe. Yeah. Caesars Palace. Yeah. And they own a bunch of casinos in Vegas. I don't know how that one went, but... Crazy.

0

1029.525 - 1050.689 Host

They work. Yeah, it works. It works good. And it's not just a lot of companies think that or business owners just think, oh, it's the big companies that MGM stuff like that. No, no. The majority of it, MGM, everyone knows it and it's big. So it made the news. By far, the majority of it is only smaller businesses. Yeah. Because they're easy, low hanging fruit. Absolutely. Yeah.

0

1051.209 - 1053.97 Host

Has your view of money changed over the years as you've made more and more?

1054.87 - 1070.196 Host

absolutely yeah so you know growing up i grew up middle class we weren't we weren't poor but we weren't rich at all you know camping trip was vacation yeah right yeah we weren't like flying on a yacht or anything like that so

1072.478 - 1094.041 Host

you know we grew up with middle class financial literacy and it wasn't until much later i learned financial literacy through through mentors and unless you're born into like uh rich parents that teach you this or unless you go out and find mentors which most people don't do you're really not going to learn it because you're not going to learn in school

1094.281 - 1121.908 Host

So, you know, just how I invest, how I think about saving, everything about it has changed from a financial literacy thing. But also, you know, for me, Experiences, being able to do things, freedom is much more important to me than money itself. Money is just like the unit, the freedom unit to get it done.

1122.208 - 1125.651 Host

Yeah. Yeah. I bet you feel freedom when you're spearfishing. I love that.

Chapter 6: What are the personal stories of facing wildlife?

Chapter 7: How do personal experiences shape business perspectives?

1142.404 - 1144.566 Host

I've never done it. It seems pretty fun.

0

1144.846 - 1151.872 Host

It is fun. It's basically snorkeling, holding your breath, diving down. It's like hunting underwater, trying to get a fish that way.

0

1152.012 - 1153.273 Host

What's the biggest fish you've caught and

0

1154.712 - 1160.241 Host

I got a fish that was close. I didn't get an official weight. It was close to 300 pounds.

0

1160.321 - 1160.722 Host

What?

1160.762 - 1161.183 Host

Yeah.

1161.343 - 1162.144 Host

Holy crap.

1162.164 - 1163.126 Host

Yeah, I'll show you a picture.

1163.146 - 1166.612 Host

Dude, so you need a... Down in Mexico. You shoot it in the head, right? That's how it...

Chapter 8: What is the ethical approach to hunting and consuming meat?

1631.448 - 1632.288 Host

That's crazy.

0

1632.588 - 1641.712 Host

Only that pod does it. Or maybe one or two pods do that. But not the ones in California don't do that. And the ones down there don't eat sharks. It's kind of interesting.

0

1641.952 - 1642.792 Host

Chiller whales, man.

0

1643.173 - 1650.901 Host

Yeah. But dolphins are right in that family. Super smart. They figure stuff out. What about octopus? You see any of those? I have seen some octopus. They're really cool.

0

1650.941 - 1651.562 Host

They're smart, too.

1651.582 - 1655.126 Host

Yeah, they're smart. There's a cool documentary called My Octopus Teacher.

1655.366 - 1656.888 Host

I heard about it. I didn't see it yet, though.

1657.328 - 1665.037 Host

Yeah, I never felt so sad for an octopus because it goes through its whole life. And at the end, you know, of course, they only live like two years.

1665.137 - 1666.418 Host

Oh, that's it? Yeah. Wow.
