What did Andy experience during his Costa Rica trip?
What's up and welcome back. Literally, welcome back. I've been back in the United States, well, got back into the United States yesterday, overnighted in Atlanta, home from Costa Rica, just got back. My wife taught a combined jujitsu and surfing retreat at Hero BJJ, a place I've talked about quite a bit. What a cool place.
They, I think, train somewhere between 150 to 200 kids for free and often, actually I shouldn't even say often, they have a calendar up every year, Once a month at this point, they're bringing in a coach and what they do is they split the revenue and fund the teaching of all the kids through the participants of the seminars or retreats, depending on what you would want to call it.
So not only did you get to go visit a really cool place, you're giving back to a really cool cause. Just got back from that. It was pretty damn awesome. It was the first retreat where it was legitimately surfing as part of the schedule and jujitsu. They had always offered surfing lessons, but this time it was actually structured into it. Feedback was pretty cool.
And a lot of people have hit my wife up saying that they would like to go if she gets the opportunity to go again. So if she does, I'll let people know. I think there was 20 people at the camp. Could probably go a little bit bigger. I don't know if you would want to. That was a really cool vibe. Everybody there was really legit. Super friendly. The Mac culture was great.
An overall just awesome trip. And I got to take the whole family, so it was great. What else is new? Before we get into this. Oh, yeah. Check this out.
