He was getting ready. He had two interviews because he had two internships coming. So he needed to prepare himself for the interview. He went to his girlfriend because she knows how to do interviews and he was practicing with her.
On a Thursday night in February, George was out with his friends. He had a slice of pizza and some soda at a local restaurant. From there, George went to his girlfriend's apartment where he stayed until a little after two in the morning. As part of pledging, George's fraternity assigned pledges to act as on-call drivers, basically a free private Uber for members of SAE.
Given the late hour, George called for a safe ride home.
And George called the identified pledge that was responsible for making sure that brothers were transported. Other pledges got in the car, all with the intent on responding to George, but rather than taking him back to the fraternity house to kidnap him and engage in the very thing that they were berated for not having done.
