Yeah.
What a why is, fundamentally, it's a foundation.
You only have one why and it never changes your entire life.
It is literally the most stable thing.
You can change how you do it.
You can definitely change what you do, but you can't change why you do what you do.
You can't change who you are.
You are the sum total of the experiences you had that you raised.
Now, whether you're living in balance with that causes a different conversation, but the ability to know who you are, even in times of uncertainty, is very grounding.
The ability to say to your friends and your colleagues, you can always rely on this one thing, is very grounding.
It was a profound time.
The golden circle and the concept of why became what it became because of that dark period in my life.
I never, ever want to go through it again, but I'm really glad it happened.
Because like much darkness and journeys of darkness, there's learning and there's new things that come out of it.
But that is 100% true.
I went through this really dark phase of my life where I had a small business.
This is pre-Y, pre-Golden Circle, pre-Tet Hockey book, pre-all of that stuff.
I was living what some people would consider the American dream.
I was an entrepreneur.
I had survived everything.
