Well, you know, I have to say this, and I want to be really clear on this. I always call the mob life an evil, bad lifestyle. I want to be really clear. I'm not calling the guys evil. You know, there were some good guys. You know, the age-old question, why do good people do bad things? And a number of reasons for that. But a lot of good guys, I was one of them, so I don't say that.

Well, it is. And you know, what happened is, I mean, my mother passed away in 2012, 33 years without her husband. And at the end of her life, her relationship with my dad was ugly. She blamed him for everything that went wrong and rightfully so.

It's common. And, you know, she had basis for feeling that way. And, you know, I had a sister, died of an overdose of drugs. My younger sister, 41 years old, was never mentally stable. She passes away at 41, smoked. It was just terrible. Didn't take care of herself. My brother, 25 years, a drug addict. I hate anything to do with drugs. It was so destructive.

And I said, am I going to do the same thing to her? Because I had such a bullseye on my back. There was no way I was going to go through that life. You were in prison at the time? No, I was out. I was out.

It was mostly gas tax money that I was taking at the time. Okay. But I was making this movie. She was a dancer in the film. I meet her in Florida on the set, fall in love with her. So I said, am I going to marry this girl and do the same thing? Because I was still under investigation. I was never not under investigation from the first moment I got into that.

I'm 31, and she was 19 when I met her. And so I decided I had to make a choice. It was either her or the life. And I chose her. She's sitting over here? Yeah, she's there. Good. We're going to be married 40 years this year. Congratulations. It worked out. I made the right choice.
