Why Democrats? They were easier to corrupt. The Republicans were always known as the law and order people. We stayed away from them, you know, because they were always law and order. At least that's how the perception was back then. And a Democratic leader at one time was getting me my licenses so that I can collect the tax money, you know, and I was paying him.

At one point in time, we controlled all the unions in this country. You control the unions, Dr. Drew, you control the country in a big way. Because Teamsters Union, you had two and a half million members plus their family, right?

You had huge pensions funds, hundreds of millions of dollars, billions of dollars. And so politicians would do our bidding because they wanted the votes and they wanted the money.

But from my experience on the street and dealing with them, I have to say there's a lot of stuff going on.
