Give me some tips. What should I ask Megan? You don't need tips.
You're doing great. I always need tips. And she said, flour sprinkles. Oh, my gosh. Talk about flour sprinkles. You would think, it's like a little fairy. If I could just be tossing them around all the time. The obsession that has come with flour sprinkles, I was not expecting. Explain to this audience who might not have watched the show yet. Yet. About flour sprinkles. So, I just...
of all things to be talking about for Time 100. Let's talk about flower sprinkles. But let's, because I think it speaks to the tiny moments of joy that are so effortless and just create a little bit of magic that we're all craving in our everyday. There are tiny little flower petals that are dried. I started putting them on salads. I started putting them on scrambled eggs.
It didn't actually matter. On a yogurt parfait, The level of charm that you find people have when they see these tiny little dried petals is something I can't fully wrap my head around, but I appreciate that there is a love for the detail and the small level of delight that can be added.
So take flower sprinkles really as an analogy and think about what you could do in your everyday life that can just have a little splash of magic on unexpected moments.
Go. I've always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it. Surprising people with moments that let them know I was really thinking of them. What? This is probably one of the most glamorous moments of my life.
I'm going to share some little tips and tricks. I see what color I gravitate to and everything goes from there. And how you can incorporate these practices every day. That's what you want. You want that shape and texture. Come on. This is about connecting with friends. I love that we're doing this together for the first time. Making new friends. That is so good. We're family now.
And just learning. how much honey we have. We're not in the pursuit of perfection. Woke us all up. We're in the pursuit of joy.
Now I'm starting to realize this is a big deal. I mean, Americans will understand this. We have medieval times, dinner and tournament. It was like that. Like I curtsied as though I was like...
Pleasure to meet you.
In those months when I was pregnant, all around this same time, so we have in tandem the conversation of he won't be given security, he's not going to be given a title, and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he's born.
So... There is a conversation. Hold up. Stop right now. There are several conversations about it.
Potentially, and what that would mean or look like. Ooh.
I think that would be very damaging to them. Okay.
It was really hard to be able to see those as compartmentalized conversations.
I wasn't able to follow up with why.
I don't know what I'm doing. Yet. Yet. My business hasn't gotten traction yet. No one's picked up my book proposal yet. Yes. I haven't found my soulmate yet. Everything is yet. The power of yet. The power of yet. Mm-hmm.
Megan, Duchess of Sussex in her first ever podcast interview. It's happening.
She's an American member of the British Whale family, an entrepreneur, author, actor, founder of the lifestyle brand As Ever that just sold out of stock completely in the first hour of its recent launch into the world. She's also a mom to her two beautiful kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, and wife to husband, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex.
Your close friends and family, so many of them call you M and Harry H. Yes. How did that start? And tell me about that.
There are several conversations about it. There's a conversation with you? With Harry. About how dark your baby is going to be? Potentially, and what that would mean or look like. And you're not going to tell me who had the conversation? I think that would be very damaging to them.
That was relayed to me from Harry. Those were conversations that family had with him. It was really hard to be able to see those as compartmentalized conversations.
I wasn't able to follow up with why, but if that's the assumption you're making, I think that feels like a pretty safe one.
Here she is on her new podcast. Let's be honest. Launching a business, it can be so overwhelming. Even with the best of teams, it'll keep you up at night. For example, a month ago, I was absolutely consumed with packaging. Boxes. It's all I could think about. And I would sit there doing the unboxing in my head. Is there tissue paper? What about the packing peanuts, but they're biodegradable?
And where does the sticker go? And hold on, what size is the box going to be? And no, that's not going to fit all the SKUs. Oh my gosh. And then someone says, but you don't want to brand the outside of the box because of porch pirates. Had never heard that before. What's a porch pirate? And then I'm sitting there and I'm like, does any of this actually matter? Of course it matters.
It matters at the beginning, but how much does it matter?
So now seven years later, when you have a little bit of breathing space, you can just enjoy each other in a new way. And that's why I feel like it's more of a honeymoon period for us now.
I am getting emotional right now. Getting out of the prove-it game, like, feels like joy, tastes like freedom. Megan, Duchess of Sussex, in her first-ever podcast interview. It's happening! It's happening!
They're coming back in. Yes. They're coming back in. Spring is strong. I'm so grateful you're here. It's going to be fun. Yes. It's going to be fun. Hi, crew. You made me cry. Good thing I have no makeup on. You look so pretty. I have not done a show with no makeup since my 1,000 QVC shows. Do you think I have? What are you talking about? You look exactly the same, though.
It stuck. Yeah. And still to this day. Yeah, I like it. We'll all be on a play date or we'll be somewhere. There'll be tons of people there and he'll say M and you'll say H and your friends say M. It just is a thing. It's a thing. And do you both love it? Or it's just natural? Yes, and I like nicknames a lot.
What do we think, Lily? I think it's beautiful.
your husband just shared publicly for the first time. He said, I'm so happy for my wife and fully support absolutely everything she's done and continues to do. When did he say that? This week. It's everywhere in the press. Yeah, it's beautiful. Okay, so you don't know this. Okay, so you're hearing this for the first time. That's sweet. That's sweet.
I just want to raise a glass to you guys. This feels like a new chapter that I'm so excited that I get to share. All of that is just part of that creativity that I've missed so much.
