You know what else matters? What else matters? Turnout patterns. Democrats today are the party of the hyper-educated and the elites and the wealthy. They turn out more in small turnout elections. It's just a fact that Republicans are a working class party now. We need massive turnout to win. It flips political conventional wisdom on its head.
in Wisconsin.
Wisconsin turnout is typically better than most places, right? But it still was a spring election. It's still not presidential level turnout.
Well, let me start off by saying that judges need to follow the law. And I don't think this country needs another impeachment charade. That's what we saw in the last Congress, and I voted no on that for a reason. Judges need to follow the law as well.
And, you know, what I think is important about the bill we just passed is we have a number of judges who have been activist judges and going beyond the scope of their district courts. And if you look at Congress's law, the laws that are on the books and Congress's role there, judges need to be following federal civil procedure.
So our bill includes a provision that would make sure that they follow things like rule number 65, which is what we've seen egregious abuses of by some of these judges recently. We have a bill called the Rogue Rulings Act, which would help to, again, reel this in. If someone is suing in a district court, they should be provided relief in that district court. It's not a nationwide court decision.
I was also proud to vote for President Trump's one big, beautiful bill last week. This is a generational investment. This is a general investment. This is your time.
It is a district court decision. And that is designed on purpose within our system. And so judges need to be following that law as well. As far as the checks and balances, Congress is executing its right to do that. We are using what's called the Congressional Review Act authority. We've used that in many cases.
Already this Congress, when we don't like a rule or regulation introduced by an administration, Congress can use the CRA to do that. These votes, many of them have been bipartisan, and we have done that several times on rules that I think take our country in the wrong direction. Many of them are from the previous administration, but I don't care who's president.
I'm willing to work with anyone to, again, make sure that we're respecting American citizens again. And 77 million Americans voted to make sure we are advancing these priorities. So thank you again for coming. We are out of time because I've got to get going to another stop in the district.
A lot of the work they do is duplicitous with AI. Once again, one of the problems we have... I happen to be a doctor, I know a few things, okay?
I'm not going to give you my best foghorn, leghorn response to that. But what I would say, you can go ahead and sit down. Thank you. When you talk about tyranny, when you talk about presidential power, I remember having the same discussion with Republicans when Biden was elected. The funny thing is, the funny thing is,
The funny thing is, you're sitting here and a lot of you would probably say those January 6s who are yelling just as loud as you, who are upset just like you.
So I've been down to CDC several times. Actually, Dr. Howard, one of my former attendings, works there, and I'm in close contact with the CDC. They have about, what, 13,000 employees? 13,000 employees at the CDC. In the last couple years, those probationary people, which is about 10% of their employee base, which is about 1,300 people, which you're referring to,
Well, I was communicating with Elon last night. Elon and Vivek and I are on a text chain together. And I was explaining to them the background of this. And Vivek and I talked last night about almost midnight. And he said, look, I get it. He said, we understand you're in an impossible position. Everybody knows that. Remember, guys, we still have just a razor thin margin of Republicans.
So any bill has to have Democrat votes. They understand the situation. They said, it's not directed to you, Mr. Speaker, but we don't like the spending. I said, guess what, fellas? I don't either. We got to get this done because here's the key. By doing this, we are clearing the decks and we are setting up for Trump to come in roaring back with the America First agenda.
That's what we're gonna run with gusto beginning January 3rd.
I feel so much better. This is why we need Donald J. Trump back in the White House to bring steady hands at the wheel and a strong commander-in-chief. You know, he would have already had the answers. He would have already delivered to the American people and certainly to members of Congress. So leadership matters. That's why he got the mandate.
That's why the American people can't wait for the America First agenda to start. And we can't wait either.
Well, what we do with this bill is we prevent that from happening, but what we don't take out.
for this purpose, no, I cannot.
It was flagged on, what is it, community notes.
Okay.
Well, this piece of legislation before us covers that among other things that are true.
That's correct.
Yeah, that's not a non-human behavior if you're licking your fingers because you got food on them. That's kind of in line with a normal behavior.
If it's in this non-human behavior realm, the intent of the bell is for licking oneself for grooming purposes like a cat.
No, this is the local school districts come up with their plan.
Pete Hegsut was an exceptional pick. I know he's under fire from the Senate, but he's under fire from squishy senators who have been against everything we want to do. And so I hope Pete holds the line all the way through. I'm defending him. And we should all defend him. You know, look, we've all had some indiscretions in our past and things like that. Every human has. But good grief.
Pete Exet, you know, he's got the support of so many people. And he represents somebody who would take on the defense establishment. And we need that. Desperately need that. Bobby Kennedy. You and I disagree with Bobby Kennedy on a lot of things, Charlie. Life in particular. But Bobby Kennedy represents somebody who would shake up the health care establishment.
So we, I was in constant contact with President Trump throughout this process. Spoke with him most recently, about 45 minutes ago. He knew exactly what we were doing and why. And this is a good outcome for the country. I think he certainly is happy about this outcome. come as well. And here's MAGA Mike Johnson saying, I was also in touch with Elon Musk. Here, watch this right here. Come as well.
Elon Musk and I talked to within about an hour ago, and we talked about the extraordinary challenges of this job. And I said, hey, you want to be Speaker of the House? I don't know. He said this may be the hardest job in the world. I think it is. But we're going to get through this.
We are going to unify this country and we are going to bring the America First agenda to the people beginning in January. We cannot wait to get started.
And so to go down there, to strengthen those relationships, and then also just to say thank you. And look, as we looked at decouple from China, we've got to look to South America, to Central America, to India for other trading partners and manufacturing capabilities. So I think there's a world of opportunity ahead of us, and that's where we're going to go down and have those conversations.
I don't think Elon Musk can cut enough. And in fact, I'd like to see him cut more. And I'm so grateful. As a member of Congress, on average, you have 15 to 20 full-time employees. Not all of us. We don't have the time or the ability to find all the waste, fraud, and abuse.
And what he's done in a few short weeks with his large team, they have the same clearances, the same qualifications as anybody else taking a look at this information and this data.
What he's done is a great service to his country, a great service to every hardworking American to expose some of this so that when we do get in there, when we do take that scalpel and we do start cutting away, that he's been able to find the fat that we got to trim. And I am so grateful every day for what Doge is doing, what Elon Musk is doing in service to his nation.
I don't think he's going far enough, quite frankly. There is certainly enormous waste, fraud, abuse across every agency across the federal government.

And what we saw this week was a district court that really exceeded the authority that it has and issued another one of these nationwide injunctions that are proliferating against in our lower courts and really are an inappropriate use of what should be a very limited power. So that's something that I know we're also going to be looking at is how we can reduce or stop that court shopping.
And even the Supreme Court called it an aggrandation of judicial power and judicial hubris. So we need to really look at how we can prevent that from happening.
Are you just concerned about the optics, though?
Do you think it's important to have that face-to-face interaction with people in your district?
Well, I personally don't think the pardons would hold up in court. I mean, I would hate to be the attorney who would have to argue how a president can legally pardon his entire family preemptively for an 11-year period. I mean, that's not going to fly anywhere. But at the end of the day, the ball is in Pam Bondi's court. Look, we did the investigation.
We proved the Biden family took tens of millions of dollars from our adversaries around the world. Joe Biden lied about it. He knew about it. He met with every single person, even though he said he never met with any of them. And then we know, according to the IRS whistleblowers, the Biden family never paid a penny of taxes on that $35 million.
So I think there's a pretty strong case for the Trump Department of Justice if they choose to go there.
I have no idea. I think that's a question you'll have to ask him. I support whatever decision Donald Trump makes.
I think there's going to be layoffs in every business and government. And sometimes those people will be veterans. If the job is not necessary or if there's a requirement, veterans have been laid off since the beginning of hirings. And that's every administration, by the way. So, yeah, there's going to be some layoffs. That's the way every business and every government process has been.
Only when necessary.
They cut away.
Can I ask a question? Yes. So is Hamas on Truth Social?
I just got Donald Trump's truth.
Better get done by the inaugural.
One way or another, I'm going to talk to you. One way or another, you're mine. Whether you like it or not, we're America. They just let you do it when you're America. Yeah, he's a sicko.
in the first 100 days is that the White House is crawling with kids. You have a young, beautiful baby boy. There are babies everywhere. There's so many young folks on staff who have kids. But the last four years under Joe Biden, parents were really stressed and ravaged. They had to take on two or three extra jobs. Depression rates were up.
