There's rising costs with game development. We obviously see it way more in AAA than we do at the AA and the indie level. My suggestion to anyone is when they see these prices, I get there's FOMO. You want to play things right away. You know, if $80 is too much for you to play Mario Kart day one, maybe you have to wait. wait until there's a price drop or sale or whatever.

So for Nintendo game key cards are different from regular game cards because they don't contain the full game data. Instead, the game key card is your key. to downloading the full game to your system via the internet. After it's downloaded, you can play the game by inserting the game key card into your system and starting it up like a standard physical game card.

Completely agree. And I assumed coming into this, it wouldn't just be a dummy terminal anymore for that dock. So the fact that they're actually putting some internal hardware into that dock is going to help with performance. I mean, we're getting 4K Nintendo games now when it's docked. Yeah, he's saying game key cards are only going to be on things like Elden Ring, Cyberpunk, etc., and... Scrolling back. Important to note, this doesn't tie the download to your account. The game key card can be resold or shared just like a physical game as a cartridge is still the license to play the game. That's why people still buy these instead of just a digital copy.

We knew, again, just rumors potentially docked. It was going to do 4K. It sounds like even in handheld mode, it's doing 1080p up to 120 frames per second as well. HDR is being added to it now.
