Yeah, well, I mean, I think those conversations are going to happen, but they should be more muted and set aside for now as he's struggling through this.
So there's it's one thing to mine our differences. It's another thing to try and heal our differences. And that is, you know, that that's the difference between real leadership and political expedience.
No, I agree. You know, you are absolutely right. I will do what you will not. I will say I thought Democrat. I thought that was just I think there were times when they should have risen. I think what Al Green did was despicable. Despicable.
And at some point, you've got to stop blaming Joe Biden and you're going to be accountable. And, you know, you must have met Biden a dozen times in the speech.
You know something, Scott?
Obviously, in retrospect, the president should have gotten out of the race earlier. There's no doubt that the Democratic Party would have been better served by having the ability to have an open primary. Kamala Harris probably would have done very well in that process. But in retrospect, we lost. And so I hope you can defend the way in which our politics played out.
I mean, listen, what I've said is that, like anybody who reaches that stage in their life, there is some level of diminishment. But I got to work with the president pretty closely in 2022 and 2023. And I saw a president who was passing legislation and helping the American people at a pretty unprecedented rate.
That being said, by 2024, the American people had decided that they wanted somebody new. They wanted somebody younger. And it was a mistake. It was a mistake for Democrats to not listen to the voters earlier.
