In Athens, hooded protesters threw petrol bombs at police. There were clashes outside Parliament as officers tried to disperse the crowds with tear gas.

Dr. Aaron Mochaledi told the BBC he'd instructed state-funded clinics to ensure that no patient is left without life-saving drugs. Eight million people in South Africa live with HIV.
