Call Her Daddy
Alix Earle: Secrets, Sex & Scandals (FBF)
Hi, I'm Alyssa, and I'm Alex's mother. I believe Alex got her craziness, her kindness, and her energy for having fun from me, and all the other good stuff from her dad. My house is a little cleaner when she's not around, but other than that, we miss her energy.

Love is NOT Blind with Paige O'Brien Peck
Hey, Moron here. View on your bebes. So I recently had a baby and my husband and I are going on our first trip without the baby. So my mom is going to be watching bebe at home while we meet our in-laws in Vegas for a birthday celebration for someone. My in-laws tend to book connecting rooms at hotels for us. Now, very appreciative that they, you know, booked the room. However, what are you nuts?
Good Guys
Love is NOT Blind with Paige O'Brien Peck
This is our first trip after a baby. I don't want a open door in between me and my in-laws. Is this not absurd behavior? My husband doesn't agree.
Something Was Wrong

When Tom shared with me what had happened with Megan, he shared every text message. He shared the statements from his bank of the transactions that were made. At one point, I was looking through those transactions and I saw a transaction to a man. Sometimes Megan would ask Tom for money and she would say, I need you to pay this person for me. I need you to send it to this person.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E10: Indiana Delvey
And a couple of times that she said, I need you to send it to this person. She was sending it to the owner of the Tesla. She was personally having Tom send money to the people that she owed money to rather than sending it directly. She was having him pay for her debts. And at this time, the Tesla owner's name had never been released to the group.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E10: Indiana Delvey
So it's like two o'clock in the morning and myself and another girl in the group were looking through these documents that Tom had shared with us. And I find the Tesla owner's wife on Facebook and I sent her a message and I said, Hey, I know this sounds crazy, but do you know a woman named Megan Stoner? And she's like, I do. She actually scammed my husband. I was like, holy crap.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E10: Indiana Delvey
If Alex hadn't figured it out the moment she did, I would have figured it out right there. Here's Alex again.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E10: Indiana Delvey
She had her license suspended and she was driving for Uber with that Tesla. How was she able to drive for Uber with no license, drive for Lyft with no license? How is she getting away with this?
Something Was Wrong
S22 E10: Indiana Delvey
That's when we realized that she had not only stolen her roommate's identity, but was also using her dad's identity to drive for Lyft and Uber in a Tesla that she obtained under false pretenses and under a false identity. My favorite part about that story is that She was at the movie theater and Stephen, I think his brother was nearby. They like flew in. They locked it.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E10: Indiana Delvey
She comes out, couldn't get into the car. I lived like right next door to the movie theater. So I even drove over there and the Tesla's sitting there and there's no other cars in the parking lot. Alex was in, talks with Stephen about it at the time. And he was like, we're going to pick up the car right now. And then he comes later in that night and takes the car.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E10: Indiana Delvey
We protected another person because she was still scamming and getting away with it. And that was what was so frustrating.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E10: Indiana Delvey
We weren't really sure what she was going to do because she had gone back and forth. Even in my phone calls with her, I never really got a straight answer with her because I think in her mind, if she didn't get the plea that she wanted, she wasn't going to take a plea.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E10: Indiana Delvey
And in our minds, we're thinking like, there's no way you're going to get something that satisfies you enough that you're willing to plea out and take this amount of jail time. So even going into the court date that day, we're all waiting on pins and needles to see what she does. Is she going to take the plea or is she going to request a jury trial?
Something Was Wrong
S22 E10: Indiana Delvey
I almost thought she was stubborn enough to just go to trial. The amount of evidence they had on her was overwhelming. They were felonies, but they were low-level felonies. The plea that she was offered, none of us felt like it was enough time. To her, it seemed like too much time, like she was almost too good to do that much time.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E10: Indiana Delvey
As we're speaking, I'm just like thinking of more things and I'm like, wow, this is really fucking crazy. I had forgotten that some of these things had happened because I haven't talked about it in so long. I was so ready to record with you today, but at the same time, I was like, this shit is going to bring up some feelings that I haven't felt in a while because I'm not a victim.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E10: Indiana Delvey
That's the whole thing. But I was so closely invested in all of this and both times, you know, the first time we didn't get her arrested, but the second time, like it was me. I got to make that call after I screamed at her on the phone and told her like, I'm going to get you arrested. I don't care what it takes.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E10: Indiana Delvey
I was the one that got to make the call the next time, which was also sweet fucking justice. It was just like such a good feeling. I had chills when I heard the trailer. When I heard Tom's voice, that's probably when it hit me the hardest. Not only did the rest of us who had put our blood, sweat and tears into bringing this bitch down need this, but he needed this.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E10: Indiana Delvey
He needed somewhere to go on and tell his story and exactly what happened in his own words. After everything, I feel like this is the icing on top of the cake for me. First episode, I'm listening to it and I'm like, everyone is about to know who you are. When I said that to her, it was so true. For so long, I thought this story would never really get the traction that it needed, and now it has.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E10: Indiana Delvey
I'm so fucking excited. I just remember that first call with you. I think Alex and I were like 45 minutes into talking to you, and you're like, dude, holy shit. There's no way we could fit this into an episode, and we had just barely cracked the surface, you know? We were just trying to tell you the most significant things that we could to get your attention.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E10: Indiana Delvey
when I heard how excited you were and how much you were ready to like bite into this even though it's a lot Megan is a lot this story for anyone else listening would think that it was not true but With it being so public and with it being online and with her leaving such a trail behind her, it really has made it easier to kind of pass the torch on to you. Like, look, this is what we have.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E10: Indiana Delvey
And you have taken all of that information and made it into these like beautiful Word documents and timelines. If there was anybody that could have done it, it was you. And you've done it so beautifully.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E10: Indiana Delvey
But I think the lawyer that she had at the time was like, you're not going to get anything better than this. I think it's best that you just take what they're offering and you do your time, you keep your head down, you pay your victims back. You're good to go. And so she goes in and she accepts it.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
Because she had the opportunity to bail out before she was sentenced so many times and it never happened. I'd be like, well, why don't you have your mom give me the card? Why doesn't your mom just take your bank card up there and post your bail? Well, it doesn't work like that. I have to be out to gain access to the funds. It was always something.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
There was always a reason that she couldn't access these funds. But if I posted that bail and she got out, she'd be able to pay me back immediately because those funds were there, but only she could access them. With Tom, originally she had asked him to borrow money up front. It was, I need to borrow some money from you. He said, okay, that's fine, but you need to pay me back on this date.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
So that date comes around and she's like, I just need a little more time. But if you give me a little more time, instead of paying you back the amount that I owe you, I will double it because I'm going to get my student loan soon. And so he would give her a little more money. And this kept happening and the date kept getting pushed back.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
It's unfortunate because Tom is just such an amazing person that he really thought he was helping out a friend in need. And she would make the crisis seem so big and it was so tragic and she just needed a little bit of help and she needed someone to believe in her. And he just kept giving and giving. This just kept happening for months on end.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
And she admitted all of this to me on the phone that she had taken all of this money from him and that she had opened a credit card in his name.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
I think Megan at this point was willing to do whatever it took to get out of jail. And there were a lot of times she would call her mom and her mom wouldn't answer. Her mom would go from a couple days to a couple weeks without speaking to Megan. And I truly believe then and now that she had put so much stress on her own mother. I think it led to her mother's demise. That's truly speculation.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
But her mom, it's not like her mom was super old. I don't think her mom had any like really serious health conditions. But Megan had put so much pressure on her mom and then her dad dying, her being in jail, her publicly scamming people, being on the news. I think it caused her mom so much stress that there were times where she was like, I don't even want to talk to my own daughter.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
She was her parents' light of their lives. And her own mom didn't really want to have anything to do with her after she went to jail. Like, she accepted Megan's calls. I think she was paying for Megan's commissary at the time. But Megan was continuously harassing her mom. If she called me as many times as she did, I can't imagine how many times she called her mom.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
And especially if her mom wouldn't answer. And I'll be honest, it is truly debilitating mentally to have someone who is a succubus like Megan calling you constantly and taking energy from you and taking your peace from you. And she is fully capable of doing that.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
Even though I kept her at arm's length, there were times where I truly felt like she was taking every last thing that I had inside of me to just continue conversations with her. When her mom wouldn't answer the phone, she'd be like, Alyssa, can you please call my mom? Can you just tell her I need this or tell her she has to do this now or I need her to pay my bail now?
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
And I'm like, I'm not doing that. I'm not calling your mom so that you can verbally and mentally abuse her. There was a couple times where I called Gail and I was like, hey, Megan's trying to reach you. And this was at the very beginning of her asking me. And I could hear the pain, just complete fed up attitude that Gail had towards her at this point.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
And she was like, no, I'm not answering her calls. But I will say this, like Gail defended Megan until the better end. I mean, she never really said anything bad about Megan, but you could hear it in her voice that she was just tired of it. She'd had enough.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
I honestly can't imagine what Gail was going through at this point with the amount of calls, messages, you know, whatever else Megan could do to try to reach out to this woman when she wouldn't respond to her. And this happened for a while. Basically, up until Gail died, Megan was asking people to contact her mom for her.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
After the failed arrest, I told her who I was and she came to the realization that there was no journalist. I was bullshitting her the entire time. My calls would have started with her with September because within a couple of days of her going into the jail, I sent you those messages where I was like, hey, Megan, I saw that you're in jail.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
October 10th or 11th, I was in Kentucky. We were on a family vacation and I had no signal. We were kind of out in the boonies. We went into town one day to go to the store and my phone was blowing up. What happened was is that she told the jail that she needed to be released to go to her daughter's funeral.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
At some point she said her daughter had been adopted and that the daughter and the adopted mother had been in an accident and she needed to go to her daughter's funeral. That someone had reached out to her to tell her, even though it like broke confidentiality because she said it was a closed adoption. So they broke a closed adoption to tell Megan that her daughter had died.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
And so Megan called me that night. We were like still in town. She called me and I answered. She's like, hey, I need to know about that warrant you told me I have. Because she had a warrant that was more important than the dead child. So she keeps asking me, I need to know about the warrant. And I'm like, I need to know about your dead child.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
Alyssa, I need to know about this warrant because I know you're lying to me. My lawyer said I don't have a warrant. She clearly did. I could see it online. I believe it was for probation because I was the one that called the probation officer to tell her that Megan had violated in another county, which violated her probation.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
If you want somebody to talk to, I just wanted her to talk to me. We all wanted to know, like, what are you thinking? What's your mindset going into this? And she called maybe a day or two later. So there were a lot of times where I would just talk to her, like almost like we were friends. Like, how was your day today? What happened?
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
The whole call I'm talking to her, I'm like, why are you telling people that your child died? And she's like, well, because I had a child that died. That was probably one of those baffling lies that she told. I don't know why that one stuck out to me more than the others and why it fired me up so badly. Maybe because I have children.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
So it like struck a nerve with me to sit there and say that you lost a child. Like that is so disrespectful to women that have lost children. How dare you? Why is everyone saying that your kid died?
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
More than anything, the Megan Stoner story fascinates me on a different level because I've never encountered someone quite like her. And there are a lot of people that probably go through their life and never encounter someone like Megan Stoner. And thank God that they don't because the level of malice that comes with her is insane.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
Oftentimes she was in SEG, which she was like pulled away from the other inmates for issues that she was causing in the block. And she tells me through our calls why that happened. My cousin was actually in the same block as her in the jail. So Megan would tell me a story and then I would go to my cousin and I would say like, hey, is this what actually happened?
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
And she's like, no, that's not what happened at all. Megan is giving the officers grief because she keeps pressing the panic button in her cell and they've asked her not to do that if there's not a true emergency, but she continues to do it. Megan would tell me, well, they're just all out to get me. They won't even tell me why they put me in here. I don't even know why I'm in SAG.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
I really did build a relationship with her where she felt like she could trust me and she could tell me things.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
So take that determination that you have to get through this and make sure that you right your wrongs. I'm sharing these calls within the group. So it's not just me listening to them. There's like 15 people listening to these calls. As it progressed, there were times where I would just get so irritated and so angry and I almost couldn't keep my composure anymore.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
But a lot of the reason for these calls with Megan is because the more I talked to her, she was admitting to crimes. On the jail phone, on a recorded line, not only that I'm recording, but the jail is recording. So the closer that we got, the more she's telling me.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
I was definitely trying to figure out if she had money, and not because I was worried she was gonna post her bail, because she kept saying, you know, I'm gonna pay back my victims, I'm gonna do this and that. And there were a couple of times I was like, OK, so if I bail you out, are you going to pay back your victims when you get out? Yes, absolutely.
Something Was Wrong
S22 E9: How Dare You
That's the first thing I'm going to do when I get out is I'm going to pay back my victims and I'm going to right my wrongs. And so there were so many times where I tried to bait her into telling me she would always say, like, I have an account with all this money in it. I have school loans or grants. Do we think that any of that is real? Absolutely not.
