Hey guys, my name is Rachel and welcome back to my channel. So today's video was suggested to me by one of my Patreons, Michael. Thank you Michael for bringing this case to my attention. This is yet another one of those very tragic cases that so many people seem to have so many differing opinions on.

And it's one of those cases where a beautiful young woman was taken from us way too soon, yet there are people out there who want to blame her for what happened to her. So if you are someone who is going to be in the comments and talk negatively about the victim and just sit there and blame her for doing something that pretty much everyone else has done, including you, the person that is going to

you know, make this type of comment, then you will be hidden from this channel because I'm just not going to accept that. I'm sick of people commenting that, oh, she did this so it's her fault for, you know, what other people did to her. Absolutely not. I will not accept that.

But either way, this is a case that we can learn from and use as an example of why we need to do a better job at taking care of our friends and our loved ones. With that being said, let's just get right into today's case. Today we are going to be discussing the unsolved disappearance of Lauren Spierer.

Lauren Spierer was born January 17, 1991 in Scarsdale, Westchester County, New York to her parents Charlene and Robert Spierer. Her family described her as being intelligent and caring. Before Lauren graduated high school in 2009, she had spent summer camps in the mountains of Hansdale, Pennsylvania at Camp Tawanda.

This is where she met a bunch of new friends, one of which being Jay Rosenbaum and her boyfriend Jesse Wolf. Both of those names will be important later on in the video, so just remember them. But either way, this camp is where her and her friends decided that they wanted to go to Indiana University.

She attended IU and was studying textiles and merchandising and she was very active in the Jewish community at her school. She even spent her spring break over in Israel just planting trees, which is pretty cool.

132.484 - 148.315 Rachel

Right after Lauren's disappearance, Lauren's mother received a letter from a mother of a young girl who went to school with Lauren who said that her daughter had always been jealous of Lauren because she was more popular than her until college when they both attended Indiana University.

148.655 - 168.401 Rachel

She said that when her daughter was struggling, Lauren always went out of her way to help her and this is when that girl realized just how selfless and caring Lauren is. She knew that Lauren had a big heart and would do pretty much anything for anyone. She had these big dreams and was just such an amazing and caring and kind young woman.
