In the Old Testament, we see God’s favor resting on men and women like Noah, Abraham, and Joseph, who, though imperfect, were recipients of God’s grace. Biblical favor refers to God’s grace, blessing, and preferential treatment bestowed upon individuals, often leading to success, protection, and guidance. It is not earned through actions but is a gift from God, based on His love and sovereign will. Favor in the Bible is closely linked with God’s presence, His approval, and His provision.
