Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Yes. Why are all monuments penis-like? I want that to just be a pussy. What I'm saying is we have a billion dollars. First of all, if we had a billion dollars, I would be compelled to get rid of it.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
You're not supposed to have a billion dollars.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
I would. But first I would smash that penis into a vagina.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Phallic, yeah. More gushy forward. I want more monuments to be kind of sopping west.

Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
I think that's what we were surprised about, too, because as guests, we're not exactly sure 100%. We spent so much time together. Talking about sex. Little two freaks and being like...
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
you know insane talking about bushes and then to be I felt so welcomed and so like you guys fucking get it yeah and I'm like what a fun time that it must have shocked some of your other listeners as well to be like oh we're doing bush talk right now on tea time we're doing it no trigger warning let's just go into it yeah

#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday

Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Yes. I feel like, well, the whole thing about their mission is that they want people to explore their sexuality and to embrace it. And as do I. Can I tell you something?
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
delete it all um but you know how you know how you know as you get older you're like i'm a freak and the person that i'm married to knows that i'm a freaky little freak do can their can their family be aware of how insane i am like do you guys try to dial it back around the in-laws you have to right yes do you guys dial it yes i'll answer um
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
She lets you know. Sometimes I feel like when straight people aren't around queerness as much, they're like they let you know how much they're noticing it, whether it's good or bad. They're like, I'm really clocking. You guys are really touching.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
There's a huge double standard too, where it is like...
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
sometimes too it's like do i have to always be political if i'm just trying to kiss my wife like does it have to be it's not a conversation that is or a statement that's being done and you're like this is exhausting i remember when i first came out i was closeted for a little bit when i first came out i made it a i tried really hard to be like i'm not going to be closeted so like i would i had to get over for my first girlfriend i would spend a lot of time
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
I would hear people coming and I would grab my hand back just out of being closeted for so long. And then I went in the opposite direction where I was like, I will be French kissing, almost going to fourth base at every movie theater I'm in, every time I go to get a coffee, I will be visibly horned up.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
But then I think somewhere along the lines, I've landed a little bit less of like, I need to show that I am a romantic. Cause I think sometimes too, visibly queer people will get like, Like, lesbians are either over-sexualized or they're, like, completely printed in, like, even sexual things. Especially when it's masculine.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
As if that's not what I was going to bring up to you today immediately.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Do you mack at your in-laws? Excuse me? Do you mack? Like, are you fully macking at your in-laws?
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
So many things that I want to say. You know I like my girls a little bit.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
you know and she supports you supporting your wife which is really a thousand percent powerful yeah it rocks yeah i would i would love to pause for a second and talk about adult sleepovers as a gay person it's so funny i'm a legal adult and yeah i'm still having sleepovers with my besties wait i still do yeah are you guys still having people over
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
I want to know when your eyes locked in. Locked in. Like what was going on in your interiors?
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
You saw the ray of light drew you to.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Wait, you were immediately like, you're cute? Do I say that?
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Well, what was that first conversation then? Because if you guys are kind of, you're being drawn to this light. You're at this bar. You turn around. You're like, it's Raven. Was there chemistry immediately?
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
For sure, for sure, for sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're like, I'm seeing a 10. This is a diamond.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
That's what I'm talking about.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
When I hear a woman singing, I like my girls a little bit older. And older than Kelly Clarkson.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Because at first you're in that work mode, right? You're like, I'm in club mode. Right, I'm in club mode. I'm like pulling around. Come to a party is a lot different than like, let's go on a date. Which it feels like though, from this meeting, there definitely was... Interest on both sides. You are both like, why did Raven leave? I'm just starting to sink in. And you're like, this is a hottie.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
And come hang out. So you guys are both like, we want more from each other. Yes. Which is a great way to start.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
yeah yes kelly clarkson already is my gay awakening right since since you've been gone i have been gone yeah since you've been gone i've been gone i never made it back home i've been in it right after saying i like my girl she winks right to camera no what you say she winked right to camera and what felt in my heart is that she winked right to me it is deeply and i will say this i understand that you've always loved kelly clarkson you've always found her deeply erotic yeah
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
You're not going to show up with flowers. You're not going to be like. But that's unique. That's memorable. Yeah.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
We made up a game because I hate pools. We invented our own game called Shooters. Jesus, I'm going to have a good time. I don't want to actually win something.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
We talk full bush for an hour and then we're there.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
No, that's incredible. I also feel like once I fell in love with my wife, it was the first time that I was like, something about being in love made me feel like we were two kids together. And I know that it was like, oh, we're two kids in love. I mean, like, I felt like... You could show that part of yourself. Yeah. Like, goofy in a way where I'm like, I'm not being a comedian. Yeah.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
I'm being like a little, like, six-year-old... Giddy. You're running around like, hey! Just like a little... Yeah, there's something very powerful about that when you're like, something about being loved in the right way, you can feel like you're healing the kid in you that didn't get to do it right.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
falling in love almost in marriage is that is that a true well I it's almost like I'm like so amazed that I got married to her or to anyone that I wouldn't be that when people ask me like I think I remember when you were like are you married and I was like oh my god yeah you're like a giddy child yeah and I it's like it's a mixture of her and just like I didn't know That it would be like that.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
I don't know. And we also I think a lot of queer people are we going to elope? Are we going to do like the whole thing? Do we need to do the whole thing? It's so straight. The whole thing feels so straight. And there's so many things of it that you're like, this feels like I'm pretending to be a straight person. Or maybe that was me. I don't want to project that onto everyone.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
it over here but like yeah it's like are we just am I gonna and I'm gonna wear a suit and you're gonna wear a dress but then when we did it and we took the parts that we like genuinely felt connected to and did it and it was done and we did a ceremony and it was small but like we did all the things and then sometimes I'm still just like it's like
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Can I, may I? Yes, you may. May I please bring up something else that has gotten the lesbos on TikTok fully aroused? There is basically a completely unrelated to lesbianism documentary out on Netflix. It's called American Murder. It's about this horrific murder that has occurred. Out of nowhere. And you know me, I'm watching a three part docuseries on Netflix about murder.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
that i've been in love with the same person and now that that person is my wife is still something that i'm like i can't believe so when i talk about her i'm literally like i can't believe that that's my fucking wife but you guys know how it is i mean she's just like yeah it's weird i mean queer love is really powerful so yeah yeah i feel love is powerful just to like give you guys straight guys some grace like yeah love is powerful when it's placed correctly when you know what it is when you nurture it when you
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Yeah, because sometimes you see a bed and you're like, oh, your mommy and daddy sleep there. Fucking losers. You know what I mean?
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
I want to see like a dyke bed.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
I think circular helps if you can change the shape of a bed. Circular or deeply like wooden.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
yeah yeah like there needs to be an upgrade for the wood slay lesbian don't want it to look like it's in a weston hotel no offense weston i literally love weston yeah but like west hotel bed no or your grandma's yes no it's so easily can be like look at this beautiful queer space that we've created and then there's that stupid fucking bed no wait question question question yeah what about like a brass headboard
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Is that getting gay or... Okay, because I kind of like the ones that make it look like you're in jail. You know what I'm saying?
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Because you can tie shit through there. That's freaky.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
But I was like, is that kind of gay? I think that could be gay. I think that's kind of slutty.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Because that's giving queen.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
I have not. My wife and I just moved. We have not fucked in the bed yet. That's because I feel like beds are giving hetero. They're giving hetero. So where are you fucking? On the couch and on the ground so far. Well done. But like never on the bed yet. And I'm like, when am I going to? Do that on a Sunday. A Sunday? That's like a Sunday.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
For the Lord? Yeah. Yeah.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
And on the bottom, I believe, if I'm picturing it correctly. I mean, yeah, but... Topping from the bottom, of course.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Thank you for understanding.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
The ring stain. The outline of you guys' having sex on your table. Period. Raven's crack. Why don't you guys come over for dinner?
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Yeah. Is it a detective in it? Yeah. You better believe it's not a detective, Kenny. It's a dike-tective. Thank you so much. It's a dike-tective. Her name is Loretta Bush, I believe. I had to write it down. Also, I can't believe that you showed up here talking about Kelly Clarkson as if that's not the first thing I was going to bring to the table.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
When you have hardwood floors, you're like, my bones. Then you should go to the chiropractor.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
That's the funniest shit I've ever heard in my life. You're actually like a bit of a crowd. I don't want a crowd because I don't want notes.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Judgment from your pet.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
I think, first of all, yeah, deeply obsessed.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
We're obsessed with you guys so much. Like, imagining you being like, get that dog out of here, and Raven being like... Let him.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
On the dining room table.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
But there's something interesting, too. I feel like I... Because I'm newly married, and the difference of what it has been like to be married is so different than what I thought it would be like. Because the lore, and we've talked about this a lot, of like... What I thought marriage would be like is this burden, this horrible thing that is like... But that's straight marriage.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
And I know that there's things about knowing somebody so deeply that it's not like there's no...
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
tension there's no work to do with each other of course but the whole like I don't know but when it comes to I thought or I've heard the lore that's like oh once you get married you guys the sex stops and I'm like my wife and I've been together for six and a half years and it has been about the same you're talking about like lesbian deathbed Yes. Yeah.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Do you guys have heard the lore of a lesbian? Dead Beth? Beth? Death? Death Beth? Death Beth.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Death Beth? Yeah. Bath? Bed? Dead? No. Death Bed. It's like, it's a phenomenon that...
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
people there's lore that when you're in a lesbian relationship for a long term that eventually the sex just fades and you become roommates i have kind of said that i think that has that ever happened to you in life is that in life i've obviously there are ebbs and flow in libido yeah for sure there's like times in your life where you're like we're doing this all the time there's times it's like shit i was traveling or you maybe are having other things come up of course yeah that's natural that's life
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
But I think this whole thing about, well, every lesbian relationship ends with the sex being gone. I think that is like a thing that straight people say about us because they're scared of how powerful we are without men.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
It was basically, I mean, if you haven't seen it, we're going to have Leah fly up a picture, of course. But she works for the FBI, and she is this beautiful butch, this masked lesbo. Can I say she does look like Xander from The Quirrell to Make Them? Okay, there is some Xander energy, except for healed. You know what I mean? Shout out Zandy. Nicknaming already. I hate it.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
There is obviously, okay, I think here's the thing. Yeah. When you're watching all of these crime shows, me particular, who I love, all I want to do after a long day is turn on like a law and order SVU.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
And you get to create your own life.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
I think that's what's really, one of my favorite things about queer people is that we have this opportunity to be like super authentic because we have to figure out who we are despite what everyone kind of wants us to be. And then you take that into your marriage and relationship instead of,
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
I feel like straight people are like following a script and queer people are like learning their own dynamics. Yes, exactly. Which is what's really unique. Which is why we're superior. 100%, I'm always saying this. Thank you for saying it. We're superior. I'm not looking for equality. I'm looking for queer supremacy.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
For sure they love to be called. I'm sure Loretta Bush would love to be called a lady cop. A lady cop.

detective also detective bush something i'll be holding on to for later i mean i think we have to give it to sophia bush to play them in the series 100 but i you know long day after a long day of work i want to go home and i want to watch something particularly heinous you know what i mean yeah i want to see all of that and when i'm watching these shows that are like very but i do want to see a blazer
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Yes, I feel like I'm not getting enough queerness. And specifically, if I'm getting queerness, I'm not seeing butches when I'm watching these horrific crimes. And I know for sure that detectives are typically butch. They are butch. This was a...
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
They have a dog policy. That's wholesome and hysterical. It's cute. That's so cute. It's very two-dex coded to be like, oh, my dog got a hold of it. Wolfie got my vibe. These toys are obviously made by women. Yeah. For everyone. Made by women. But that's why they're so like intentional with the way this shit works. Well, they're also, this is one of my favorites because they are so quiet.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
We're both 5'3". It's a My Little Pony. Wait, it is a My Little Pony that you actually shove up your crotch. Dude! I'm riding it, but barely. It can't hold my weight. That's how small my tiny horse is. Okay, being, okay, here's the thing. For so long as a queer person, right? You know within you what you find attractive, but the society is like, you shouldn't do that.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Don't you want to go to heaven? You can't be attracted to Kelly Clarkson in the sense you've been on music video, right? And everyone tells you that there's no way. You have teacher, your English teacher like, stop watching that in class, Rachel.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
You're like, you know what I mean? You're like falling in love with your best friend in the choir room. And you're like, I'm not sure why when I should be attracted to. Yeah. I don't know. Like, who are the teen throbs of the time? Justin Timberlake. Yeah. They're like, you should be attracted to Justin Timberlake. And you're a young lesbian. And you're like, I'm not attracted to Justin Timberlake.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
To be fair, I also think non-lesbian, young lesbians are also like, I'm not attracted to Justin Timberlake. The world is telling you to be a judge, okay? And you're like, I'm just not, right? And then life moves on. Time passes. Then there's this app that lets you realize there's a community of other people. Are you talking about Christian Mingle?
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
I'm talking... Mackenzie Goodwin, I will... Kiss me.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
I'll kiss you at work right in this studio. HR, HR. Sorry, Spotify. To have an app... Christian male being the first TikTok being the second where queer people can come together and be like, I was watching this docu series about a horrific murder. And I saw a butch for like maybe a total of 65 seconds. Right. And it rocked my jock. Yeah.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
is is actually like so affirming to like a closeted queer person totally butches are so hot to people and the straight world that i grew up in was always like so deeply unattracted to butches they were like no no no no fun of people were like this is insane and then to be like look at all of us seeing one second of a dike detective and going can i be honest yeah you know in bridesmaids melissa mccarthy yeah
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Can I say something? Why? And I'm sorry, because I have a couple of thoughts raging through my head. Yeah. I don't know how we haven't talked about this person in a while, but how motherfucking hot is pregnant ass Cecily Strong?

#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Wait, I wanted to say something unrelated to how hot and beautiful masculine and pregnant women are. Okay. Even though the society that we live in will have you thinking they're not. They're wrong. This is unrelated to actually any celebrity. Um... I fear, I'm scared for what's about to come. I think I've actually screamed at you about this topic before.
Two Dykes And A Mic

I am really, really worried that one of my arm looks cool and my other arm looks like I had a transplant of a baby's arm.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Now you're fucked. I think... Do you think this arm looks like... I had a BBL, but instead of doing the typical stuff, they brought it to the arm. They took an arm from an infant and put it on in my sweater.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
I'm getting upset about the arm situation. The reason it matters so much to me, Mackenzie, is because as a soft butch dyke, it's almost required for me to wear a sweater vest as often as possible to show off my deltoids. And to do that, you got to see this arm, which I fear is not... This arm is giving juvenile.
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
I know you're going to say yes to this question, but do you know Missy from Bring It On? I get a barbed wire tattoo. I think do the whole arm barbed wire tattoo. It's just the entire... It's bangles of deltoid to wrist. Barb wire. Barb wire tattoos. Yeah, I think do it. They're all temporary. So what I do as like it's camp, it's some type of a... I spit all over my hand.
Two Dykes And A Mic

But you're doing this everywhere. I wipe it all down. You're at Starbucks. Yeah.

And then April 26th, we're in Denver. May 10th, St. Pete. May 11th, Atlanta. May 17th, St. Louis. May 18th, Chicago. May 30th through 31st, Seattle. June 7th, Portland. June 12th, Pittsburgh. June 13th, Brooklyn. And then our last stop is June 14th in Boston. We will be at the Wilbur Theater, which is a bucket list venue. And we... Cannot wait to do these shows.

As mentioned, there is a section for like a community section called Mackenzie's Minglers. And if you're coming single and you want to meet people, it's so exciting. You want to bring your baby arm and like swap sweater vests with somebody.

I feel like, and this is just first instinct, I would buy all of the private jets and then just park them forever.
Two Dykes And A Mic

It was those dudes who were like, what if I was on a mountain?
Two Dykes And A Mic
#306 - Queer Supremacy with Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday
Sorry, we need a mountain range with women. Please, all of them. Even if like, do you know the one in DC that's like just a huge... It's like a triangle and it's long. There's a word for that. A triangle and it's long. It's a long triangle. And it's a mountain range? At the top it looks like a pyramid and then it's all... I don't know what you're talking about.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
It is. Yeah. Cause I feel that way too. Like, do you remember the vows that we said to each other on our wedding day? No, girl. I do remember our final song, though.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
No, you know what it was? It was Sinatra. Oh yeah, that's right. That's right. You had Sinatra. We went, it was Sinatra. And then we went into, yeah, it was a, it was a, it was an unconventional wedding.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
You know? And, um, yeah, June, 2020 is when we got married.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Yes. I mean, I think that if we had had – yes, because we would have wanted our family there. Like, my mom and dad weren't even there. My sister wasn't there. They were on Zoom. Yeah, kind of. Kind of. So I think that we absolutely would have wanted more people and closer friends. Like, there were a lot of special people in our life who – Didn't get to be there, but we're going to.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
You didn't do dress shopping. No. So honestly, love is blind was the thing that made me go, I want to, I want to go like try on a dress. It really was. It wasn't say yes to the dress. No, it wasn't. And I used to watch say yes to the dress and it didn't hit me in the same way. I think I'm older now. I just was like, it's,
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
That's a nice moment to feel that special and get to try on such beautiful fashion. Like, okay, I just want the moment. What is your like ideal dress? I don't even know. That's the thing. I want to look hot as fuck. That's it. Just like, ooh, tight, like body, boob, let's go. I have no ass, so, you know? You're working on it, babes. I'm working on it. It's plumping up.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Yeah, I just want to feel like a princess. As you should. Yeah.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
It's problematic, though, a little bit because I feel like one day someone is going to be like, that's really distracting. You need to stop. I have them constantly on our show. I take them to other people's shows, and I'm always just kind of like, yeah, cool. Doing stuff like that is problematic. They have all different kinds in the house. That's crazy. Yeah.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
And I think that it's important to remember that when you're in a long-term relationship, the style of love changes. So there literally is like passionate love and companionate love. And companionate love is what you enter in when you're in that longest term. And they say that around five years, you actually – truly are in a space where you develop that best friendshipness.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
And I feel like Raven and I, and this is universal, but I feel like Raven and I are actually really in that space. We're entering that space. Like June will be five years for us. And I feel like we've had such a shift. I feel so much more secure. So I think, remember that with companionate love, it doesn't mean like, You maybe want to like jump someone's bones every five minutes.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
The love changes, but it's deeper and it's more honest and more pure in a way. And I think that just giving yourself room to. Be yourself also without judgment and let your relationship just have the hills and valleys. Don't compare your relationship to anybody else's either. That's a big one. I mean, to not compare. That's hard. Marriage is a journey. It's a real journey.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
But I think that if you... have found your mirror, that's the greatest gift in the world. And the mirror can be scary because it can feel really honest. And don't forget about 50-50. Lean into that.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Raven really loves 50-50. And her definition of 50-50 is this. Babes, will you take out the trash? Raven will take out the trash, but I have to put the new bag in. Raven will be like, oh, Raven will be like, oh, I'm hungry. So she'll go to the fridge and she'll open the fridge door and she'll take the food out and she'll leave the fridge door open and she'll be like, 50-50, I have to close it.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
And I really think the biggest thing for people in relationships in general is to and this is this was a hard one for me. So we all have messaging as we're growing up and we have our friends telling us and leaving impressions on us as how things should be. So I heard things a lot in my life like, oh, well, if you stop having sex in your relationship, that means you're on the road to divorce.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Oh, if he's not sleeping in bed with you and he's on the couch, that's the road to divorce. So I had all of these kind of things that I was looking for that would equal my biggest fear, which was a divorce. And I realized those things are not universally true. If you stop having sex in your relationship for a period of time, that's okay. There can be other reasons as to why.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
It doesn't mean, oh, we're falling out of love. So I think that- But it also could be, just check the receipts. Yeah, exactly. It's just, exactly. And people will take certain things because those have been true in the past. But I think my biggest marriage advice in regards to that is- Don't let outside influence impact you or dictate how you feel a relationship should be.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
And don't take old ideas, kind of like these histrionic, history, whatever. Yes, histrionic.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
That's why I'm, don't take these like archaic, don't take these archaic, archaic ways of how a relationship or a marriage should be and then bring that into your world.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Yeah, exactly. That's been huge for me because I had a lot of fear initially. And as being an anxiously attached person, it was not fun for either of us.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
We were just talking about this the other day.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Or just like serious curiosity. I just have serious curiosity sometimes. Like I came home the other day and not just you, but we had someone else over. So it was not just you, but it was you and another adult woman left our house and left with the doors open. And I was like, after you had lunch and got gas, that's too long to leave the doors of our house. The back door and the front door.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
And then you're going to be a security. No, no, no. See, it's so hypocritical. Was the gate closed? Because she's also like the biggest privacy security person.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Okay, so. Karaoke was involved, I feel. There was. We met in 2015. This is why we were talking about it, because we were like, wow, we've known each other for 10 years. We've known each other for 10 years. That's amazing. So we met in 2015, and Raven was hosting a karaoke night at this bar. In the gay land. In the gay land.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Our front door and our back door were wide open. Was the gate closed? Plus the gate closed. Yeah, the gate was closed, but our house was open. And I'm just like, two adult women left a house like this, and it makes me worried about how they survived before me. It does.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
I'm like, how many times have you lost your wallet?
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
With her license and credit cards inside of it. I've lost my wallet in my lifetime probably around five times. And you are kind of a recognizable figure.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
I was just like, damn. I was curious.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Close the fucking door. Yeah, she does that too. This is the first time.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
No, because you haven't heard about any of the other shit. I just, I bury it now. Because I just love her through it. And you know what I honestly do? I love you through it too. You know what I do? Thanks. That was such a cute declaration. You looked like you were coming out of the ground.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
I love you too, babe. You really did. It's the birth. It's like a groundhog. I forgot what I, oh, I could not get upset in that moment because nothing bad actually happened. It would be another story if like our dog was gone or it would be another story if like I walked into our house and there was a random stranger and I'd be like, great, now I'm dying and it's my wife's fault.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
But like, it didn't, it didn't. So I'm like, you know, next time I just have to do more things and check when she leaves the house and blah, blah, blah. But no.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
And I just so happened to be there with a few of my friends and we started talking. I remember just being at the bar itself and you came up next to me and I looked at her and she looked at me and I had this overwhelming feeling in that moment before we had even spoken. I was like, I'm going to know her. Like it was it was very odd. And and it wasn't like
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
oh, I know who, like, oh, that's Raven-Symoné. Because I recognized her, but it was like, oh, I, like, there's something different. It was a different hit. And we started talking, and I think you invited me, yeah, you invited me to your house party the following week.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
You also have to give yourself a lot of grace because the thing to remember is that people are not we're not wired or taught or. really, we don't know how to deal with hundreds and thousands of people giving us their, yeah, it's so far from normal.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
You're used to having either like your parents or your friends, you know, maybe three people at most kind of say something to you that doesn't feel good. Yeah. But when you just are inundated and I get that.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Like for me being inundated with hate and being inundated with things that are so false from the person that I know that I am, It's very difficult to kind of, I don't know, make sense of it. So you got to tune it out. I'm glad you're not reading. I'm glad you're not reading it.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
It was funny because you don't in the moment that something is said you don't necessarily know what the response is going to be. So on a few of the, during a few of the times that Raven got herself in trouble, um, we were like already away. Like we were like, I remember one time we had left the city and we drove up to Saratoga Springs.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
And then it was like, we'd looked at our phones and it was like, Oh my God, you know? So it's just supporting her and helping navigate that, those moments. And I think, um, knowing Raven and understanding who she is, it's like, yeah, sometimes she says things she doesn't mean or she'll mess up her words, but her heart is pure.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
And also Raven is very, very smart. And Raven often sees things or says things that people, yeah. And so, and then because sometimes she maybe doesn't like fully articulate her thought, people will then just extrapolate.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
That party was, it destroyed the house. Like we were talking about this the other day because we just bought a new house and I was like, we will never have a party like that at our home ever. It was so beautiful. It was so fantastic. The toilets had to be replaced. Yes. Wait, was it beautiful? No, she's saying the debauchery was beautiful. It was fantastic.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Dream time. How old is the podcast? Okay, so the podcast is.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
The podcast was like, it's been like four years of me trying to get this thing on its goddamn feet.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
So I came to Raven one day and I was like, babes, let's start a podcast. It's been my dream. I tried to, I started two podcasts on my own and nothing really happened. And I think you took pity on me. And she was kind of like, okay, I'll help you out.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Happy wife, happy life. She was like, I'll help you out. We can do this together. And I was like, also, just if you look at the world, there are not, in our age range, very many married lesbians.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
And we're interracial. So I was like, OK, this is interesting. Like we might fill a space that hasn't been filled, you know, and we're goofy and funny and married and like navigating life. Let's try it out.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
I'm mad you did, too. What? I'm mad you did. It was fantastic. But she invited me to that party. And I said, yes, but before I come to your party, I'm going to need to have a one-on-one date with you. I'm not just going to come to this random party. And so we had a day date.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Working together with me has been enlightening.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
It has been a little bit. You're right. To be honest.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
I had to learn that too. I didn't really... Sorry to interrupt you.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Well, the world does. I don't care. I didn't fully understand... her, and how could I, right? I was empathetic towards the stories I heard, but I was like, we're different, we're gonna take this on. And I had a background in the industry and entertainment and I was like, we can do this and we're gonna tackle it and produce and make and da, da, da.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
But I didn't really understand the emotional element until later.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
And I think, I haven't really ever said this before or shared this in this way, but I believe that when you meet the right person, you can fulfill elements in each other's lives that you lack individually, right? Like some people say you have to be this whole complete person before you find your person. And I don't think that's necessarily true.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
And something for both Raven and I, when Raven and I met in 2015, I was working as a personal assistant. for high profile actors and I had a goal and my goal was always to write for TV. And my dad grew up working in the industry, I was like this is gonna be my thing. I'd studied it, I was gonna do it. And then life happened. Like shit got in the way for me and I had to take leave of absence.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
I had to deal with some mental health issues. And then I came back to work and I was like, okay, I'm going to just focus on writing. I was scattered career wise. And it was frustrating because I always knew I had potential and I was smart and I was intelligent. And I went to work. I was the executive assistant to the president of universal studios. Like I was doing things.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
And when Raven and I then got married and decided to really start working together, I was like, okay, I have the security now, and not financially, but the emotional security, the person backing me and saying, you can do this, to say, I'm gonna become the producer I always have known I wanted to be. I'm gonna start the YouTube channel I've always wanted.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
And I, for her, was able to give her foundation and security in saying, if you don't want to be the actress that you were always told you had to be anyway, don't. Be the director you know you want to be. So we fed each other in ways that were really necessary to our personal growth. And that's...
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
where I am today and people so people look at me and they're like why is Miranda there why is Miranda talking why is Miranda like on her own podcast and it's like yeah you don't know my history but I've worked really hard to get here and Raven has helped me but I've also like always been trying to get here I've just had blocks.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
I love it. I love it though. I love seeing her in her element. Yeah. What are you talking about? That was hard. What was hard? You've directed me once, Fresh Paint. That was hard. That was hard because I didn't know what I was doing. You were treating me like an actor. Period. That would have been hard with anyone though.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
That's so sweet. I don't do that. I just like am. Yeah. No, seriously. I just am. I'm like, oh, she's directing. She's telling me what to do. But I just didn't know how to do what you were asking.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
It felt like seven hours, but it was actually 10. It was like we. In reality, 10 hours. Yeah. No, it was crazy. We literally were in the car. It was a very hot day. And we were going to sit outside at the park.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Yeah. And I have to be honest that one of the things that I loved most about Raven was that we, it was an ED on the end of that. So what, what did I lose? You loved about me? What happened? Oh, I was really confused about that.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
I literally was like, she's talking about some kind of assistant director. I was like, wait, what? Um, no, no, no. I just, one of the things that I really appreciated when we first met was that we both are children of the industry and there's a different conversation that we could have that honestly, sometimes I missed with other people because like I,
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
although she was in front of the camera on set, we both grew up on sets. I was just behind a camera. So it's like, we just knew the world and therefore we could bond and talk over that or just understand it. And that was something that I also really liked because it was, it's formative.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
um at LACMA but it was too hot to sit outside so we were in the car in the air conditioning from 2 to 10 p.m and then she was like oh my friend's having this birthday party just talking and you know what that is it's like I mean you just talk and talk and it wasn't a phone there I turned my phone off I'm very I'm known for doing that and just learning about her and our traumas we drama bond you know what would have made it better food if there was a wall between us
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
This is like, yeah, this was last night. What are you talking about?
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Yeah, date nights. We were really good in the beginning. We would do them consistently and all like activity. Oh, we did tie dye. Yeah, we would do like activity based date nights. But yeah.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
In our history of dates. We, I would say. I do. Go ahead. Okay. This was really good. This was our early, early days. Like first? Yeah. New York City. So Raven said, like, be ready at this time. We're doing something special tonight. She won't even remember. And I said, okay. And a car picked us up and we are going somewhere. I don't know where we go.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
And we get to radio city and it was to see Adele's concert, but it was a private, not like a private, but it was an invitation only concert because it was her first, again, this is like 2015, 16. It was one of her first times performing live.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
live again getting herself geared up to like then go on tour I think she had like surgery yeah yeah and she was really anxious and um she expressed that but oh my gosh it was phenomenal it was amazing to see Adele but then also in kind of this more intimate space and It was just the best. And it was a total surprise. And we were totally like quiet at that time. No, because I remember this.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
And we, we, so people didn't know we were together and we were walking down the street and you kissed me at the crosswalk. Really? Yes. And I was like, was I drinking? Nothing.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
She literally wasn't, though. It was the high from Adele. And I was like, oh, wow. It was like the best night ever. You know what date night I really enjoyed?
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
I like doing that. So... And I was like, just fix it, babe. I suck. You just like being in art mode because she's a really fucking good artist and I'm not. You are a good artist. Y'all are so cute. Not like that.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Whatever. You just like date nights that like stroke your ego in art world. This is not true.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
And I'm like, I suck at stick figure drawing. I like when you're good for me. Well, yeah, I'm a great cook. Ooh. Period.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
And one of my favorite things... I really like making everything. It's really fun. Like yesterday I just made some shishito peppers for her and I was playing around. But Raven is so much fun to cook for or bake for because she loves food so much and she gets so excited. I love it. And it was really sweet. I felt very wifey yesterday because I made her.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
I made her a plate of shishito peppers and I brought them into her back house, like her art studio. Yeah.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
We all like validation. Why not? Come on now.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Do you know we went to London for a bit? And, Ollie, this is for you to hear as well. We were in London, and Raven was working. And she comes home one day, and she was like, oh, my God. I had the most amazing thing in my entire life. It was so delicious. I need to get more immediately. I was like, what did you have? She goes, a sausage roll. And I was like, oh. He loves a sausage roll.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
You guys gotta come to the house. I found a place to sell sausage roll by the house. She was obsessed. And literally on our way to the airport, she had this man trying to stop at places. It was too early. Everything was closed. She was like, I need another sausage roll, please.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
No, no, no. In pastry. No, I know. It's a pig in a blanket. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it's delicious.

What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
I'll tell it short. No, no, no. I'll tell it faster. Listen, I'm going to tell you what happened. We went to Lake Tahoe. Raven, get out of here. What is the story? We went to Lake Placid during a polar vortex. Our smart car froze. Raven, it was a convertible. Raven rolled the top down. As a joke. The car shorted and it wouldn't come back up and she almost killed me because we had to drive.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
It's not like I didn't almost kill you. I almost killed us. Well, you were warmer than me. I was freezing. And we were literally like negative 27 degrees driving.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
And then we had to drive to the nearest place to sleep. We always get into adventures like that.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
It was fun. Two and a half days. That's insane. We're psychotic. That's insane. We are road warriors. That's what our reality show should be called.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
It is my goal to have something in the reality space for us. Yeah. Working on it.

Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
I'm having such a moment. Congratulations.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Yes, of course. Okay. She's not, she's not going to host the party though. Cause that would ruin everything. So don't worry about that.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Oh my God, whoa. That was just such a weird moment of connectivity in my brain. My wife sometimes buffers. I was going to say, I was literally buffering. And now I'm fully here, you guys. We're so excited.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Really? Beyond. no work I just want to tell you my wife she will not really watch reality TV there's like two shows Love is Blind is one of them and I was like babes and finally she got into it and she was like fangirling over you the entire season she's like 80 is my girl
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
She's referring to the innate, I think maternal nurture, caretaking energy that I
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
No, I feel like I've always kind of had it. I, from the time I was little, like wanted to take care of babies and I was a mom's helper. So like I literally at the age of like five and six went around my neighborhood and I was like, hi, can I be your mommy's helper? And I'd watch babies, you know, with the mom still in the house.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
And then when I started elementary school, I started to volunteer, which wasn't really volunteering. So it was always in me, and I begged my mom to get pregnant, and then she did. I was like, I want a baby. I know, I had no idea, but I really wanted a baby. And she had one for me, so that was sweet. And yeah, no, it's always kind of been in my bones.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
What? Oh, God. Oh, God. Such a story. Nothing like your proposal, I'm sure. No, not at all. The one we saw and the one we didn't see.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
You know what would have made it better? Food? If there was a wall between us. Love is blind.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Look at the view. And I said, I can't see shit. No, she said, you know, I really wish I could remember. I have a very good memory. And I really remember most of our life together. But this moment, I think I like blacked out because I don't remember exactly what she said. But what I do remember, what I do remember. You mean the love part? Yeah.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Yeah. And what she does remember is. What I do remember is. Raven said, and so I'm not gonna kneel, because I'm a Gucci, but will you marry me? She said, but will you marry me? And I'm not kidding. I look down and she hands me the box and I take the box and I look up to say yes. And she's gone. I'm not kidding. I literally go. Yeah. And I run across. She runs.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
It was also really scary because I know there was traffic confusion. It's one of those roads where it is just two lanes and the cars whip. They come fast. Like the fact that she ran across that was... if the timing had been any different, a car could have been coming around. It was scary.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Not every year. Almost feels like I am the type of person who has never thought about their wedding. I was not like, I'm going to be the girl to walk down the aisle and the dress and my dad and my mom and this never, ever thought about any of that. The only thing I ever thought about was my ring. So she gave me the David Yearman placeholder.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
I have to be careful how I say this because I don't want to sound horrible. But it's like I was not the ring that she dreamed of.
What's the Reality?
Raven-Symoné & Miranda Maday: That's SO Us
Yeah. And we did. We had such a ring journey because we worked with two jewelers. We had custom things made. And then like the first day that our rings arrived, Raven's Like diamonds fell out of her band. That's right. My ring, they had sized it. I couldn't even get it over my finger. We had really bad ring karma. It was really funny.

So the partner, the man just gets to choose it and present it for you? Yeah. From a pre-selected? Yeah. Got it.
