When we talk about security guarantees, everything we do is to protect peace. Europeans are not warlike powers. We want to protect peace. We want to protect peace on Ukrainian soil. We want to protect peace for us on our eastern flank. We want to protect peace in Europe and thus deter attacks against us.
If we are credible in this approach, I think it is a strong incentive for President Putin, who is a man who thinks. I had the chance to see this through the discussions I had with him. He will see at that moment very clearly, he will adjust his position.

And I think Trump deeply resonates with him. Trump said he's putting it all on the line. Trump said this is something that's really not good for him. President Trump chose to do something for our country. He could be on a yacht somewhere floating around with Melania. He put it all on the line. as a billionaire. Elon Musk put it all on the line. And it's not self-serving.
They're doing it for the good of the country. So let's give them a break here as they try to save the future.

President Trump inherited an economy and a government that is bankrupt, running $2 trillion deficits every single year. Unfortunately, he also inherited an appropriations process that has been busted. And the reality is that we just don't have and haven't had the time to bring us back to regular order to run a regular appropriations process.
So what this CR does is it buys us more time as President Trump and Doge are doing their incredible work that they're doing in identifying waste, fraud, and abuse.

He's a never ending negotiator. It's the art of the deal. But also the president has proven, as he did in his first terms, that tariffs can bring good paying jobs back here to the United States of America. They protect critical industries here at home. And President Trump is serious when he says he wants to make America the manufacturing superpower of the world.
Could we be seeing that... the this economy that we inherited starting to roll a bit sure and look there's going to be a natural adjustment as we move away from public spending to private spending the the market and the economy have just become hooked and we've become addicted to this government spending and there's going to be a detox period There's going to be a detox.

When Trump is answering questions about the press conference, I think it is not a coincidence that many of the narratives that are being voiced largely materialized after their conversation. The phrases he is saying are so deep and so correct, they are in total alignment with the way we see things.
