The Supreme Court has rejected a Trump administration push to rebuke a lower court judge who imposed a quick deadline to release billions of dollars in foreign aid for work that's already been completed. President Trump has scaled back new tariffs on Canada and Mexico, exempting the three big automakers for 30 days.

White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt repeated the president's claim that the tariffs are not about trade, they're about illegal drugs crossing the border.

The automakers will not be exempt when reciprocal tariffs are put in place next month. Elon Musk on Capitol Hill this afternoon meeting with Republican senators over lunch to talk about the budget.
