You only get a couple at a time, but I really liked it.
But I think you're I mean, you're strengthening your relationships. And I think that maybe in the second half that'll play into more. I'm hoping fingers crossed, because if it doesn't, then I feel like that is going to be like majorly disappointing to have your choices truly not.
Yeah, 30 years.
Even though the story and the interesting points aren't as high, I think it's a better overall.
You're in her house, her apartment.
And then you have the fine arts building, the fab.
The areas are way bigger.
See, I don't feel like that at all.
No, I felt like... I don't think that they like a hundred percent nailed it necessarily, but like the relationships and the way that they set things up to me is like who in their junior high to high school years hasn't had some, like, I don't want to say toxic relationships, but like overly familiar, way too fast friendships that mean everything like that to me felt very on board. So I feel that.
Yeah.
Oh, I agree.
Oh, like in the bar and stuff like that.
It's a good chunk. It's a couple movies. And I believe the whole first drop of Love is Blind.
Because I think that you leave people...
mostly unsatisfied rather than excited about like figuring out the rest of the mystery because you're like i actually end up with like way more questions and like not in a fun way um by the ending of this than like excitement necessarily i'm just like i just like to go through it maybe maybe we leave that in the past maybe as we evolve but we did for a while but i don't i mean i've never worked in game development i don't really know how all that
yeah i'm kind of with roger for people that are like worried about spoilers which i imagine if you are you're probably not listening to this at this point anymore um but there's really only like one thing you can spoil and even that i don't really know if that affects any of the rest of what you played truly so i think that you can probably avoid spoilers and just play it back to back oh yeah so roger you gave it a seven joy would you give it
Oh, just download it or at least add it to your account. Yeah.
I'm never on the show. This is fun.
Have comprehended it on different levels, maybe.
I haven't seen Labyrinth in a long time. And maybe I need to rewatch it because that was not really tracking with me.
Weird, color-y. Yeah.
I'm pretty similar to Roger. I think it's like a fine game. It's the problem that we have with every one of these Don't Nod Life is Strange games, which is the setup is interesting. Can they land the plane? This one... I don't, this one I have less confidence in, I think, than Double Exposure, just because of the way that this first chapter ends.
As I was playing it over the last few days, I kept going back to the conversations that I have with people about M. Night Shyamalan, where M. Night Shyamalan movies used to be about the twist. And now it's kind of like, here's this interesting scenario and how do people work through it? And I think that's very much where this game is compared to past Don't Nod games.
I mean, there is like a reveal, I guess. I don't know if I would call it a twist. I like the setup that it's kind of Yellow Jackets-ish where you have older characters and then you see them flash back to their younger characters. That's the part that's set in 1995. I'm always going to be a sucker for...
like a 90s kind of like girl hang yeah uh story uh i think something that i i didn't feel super attached to all of the characters i think where uh life is strange really dials it in is the one-on-one relationships and i think you have a bigger friend group this time and it's harder to have those connection to those characters when you're trying to
make those connections with multiple characters, obviously. So I don't feel as connected to the characters when we have kind of more of those like heart stringy moments. Cause I feel like I'm like, which one were you? And then like figuring out like, oh, well this thing happened, but I really focused on my relationship with you and like that kind of stuff. So that's the part that I kind of,
was iffy on the music I think is great I did not like the double exposure like mechanic of the last Life is Strange game I think the camera stuff on this worked for me because I love collectibles and like the way that they have it listed of like you have all these tapes that you're making because you're doing this like
amateur filmmaking thing and so they have all of these like you're making a tape for each of your friends and you're making a tape for different locations and characters and things in the forest and stuff and so it tells you like how many more you have for each of those things so put me in the forest with a camera and I'm gonna go find all those dumb birds and all that stuff like I love that um and I think that that I haven't looked at the trophy list but I think that would make me go back and like maybe clean it up a little bit because I could just
I think if you're like a photo mode person, you're going to have a lot of fun with this. But if you just like collectibles, you could just record like for some of the things, like the same things 10 times in a row and be done with it. So like it kind of plays to a lot of different play styles. There are some where you have to like, they kind of gate you.
Okay.
Quick comment I have.
