No, I moved to the Twin Cities because I wanted to be close to my band.

They started there.

But then early on, I was doxed on a radio show.

I was going under a fake name at like 19 years old and still had the long hair.

I got it tucked up in a hat and I went on a radio show and I was doxed early on and that kind of changed the trajectory.

With the movement.

Well, no, I was... You got docs like your home address and all that stuff?

My parents.

So I was going under the name Jeff Stevens because I wanted to separate my music career from the movement and also protect my family because I knew this was a movement that people didn't like and that could put them in harm's way.

So I'm on the air and somehow the host says, you know, your name is not... I'm spewing anti-Semitic drivel, which was pretty typical of how I behaved at the time.

And the woman that was running the show, she goes, your name is not Jeff Stevens.

And your mother lives in this town.

She's an attorney.

She works here.

Your father works in manufacturing.

He works here.

And we're going to call your mother in the next commercial break.

And my world just fell apart.
