Top Trump officials leaked war plans to a journalist by mistake
I can't even process what just happened because there was no heads up. Next thing you know, I'm taken. And for two weeks, haven't been told anything, moved in different cells, sleeping on cement, sleeping in different jail cells. Like it just nothing makes sense to me. And I'm still trying to process the entire situation.
Flightless Bird
Deported
Yeah, I'm not joking. I was 19 years old when I was in that spinoff. And I literally don't even think that I made the actual movie. Like I had the smallest part. I was like the party girl. I was so young and dumb back then when I filmed that. And I'm like, when I got out of jail, my friends were like, you are not going to believe this. And I'm like, no way. No way are they bringing that up.
Flightless Bird
Deported
And my friends are like, that movie's getting more publicity now than it did when it got launched.
Flightless Bird
Deported
My CEO sent me this one headline. It was like from Hollywood to handcuffs. I'm like, Oh my God, that is diabolical. People are unhinged.
Flightless Bird
Deported
What was that like? It's actually a territory. So it's the furthest north in Canada. It's right beside Alaska. So I grew up there and then I moved to Vancouver, BC, where I've been for the past... Oh, goodness, 17 years now.
Flightless Bird
Deported
Yes, correct. I moved to LA a year ago and was fully living in LA. I still had a place in Vancouver, so I'd go back and forth, but I was there for most of my time.
Flightless Bird
Deported
When I get there, the agent goes, you're not eligible for this visa. And I go, what? I just had this visa. You gave it to me. And it's doing the exact same thing with the exact same paperwork. I don't understand. She calls the supervisor. Oh, you're right. Actually, you are eligible for this visa. I'm like, okay, great. And then it was just one thing back and forth, back and forth.
Flightless Bird
Deported
They were literally processing my visa. And then something triggered them because my passport was about to expire in two years. And I was applying for a three-year visa. And that triggered it. And then... It was it was I was in there for hours just sitting there and it was back and forth, back and forth.
Flightless Bird
Deported
And then finally they go, OK, so come talk to us because you had a denial and then you had your visa voided. We actually can't process your visa here. You need to apply through the consulate. And I said, I had no idea. No one has ever told me that. My lawyers didn't know that. I'll do that then. And she goes, okay, great. I just want you to know that you aren't in trouble.
Flightless Bird
Deported
You didn't do anything wrong. You're not a criminal. And I'm like, why is she telling me this? This is so weird. Anyways, she's like, but we need to send you back to Canada. And I go, okay, no problem. I was planning on going back anyway. So then I went and sat down and I was literally looking at flights to go home. And this man comes out and he says, Jasmine, please come with me.
Flightless Bird
Deported
And he takes me to this room and literally with zero warning about what was going to happen. My stuff was taken from me. My phone ripped out of my hands, my hands against the wall. This woman starts patting me down. They're like barking orders, take off your shoes. They start ripping my shoelaces out of my shoes. And I'm like, Whoa, like what is going on? What is happening?
Flightless Bird
Deported
And I'm like, you're being detained and we are sending you back to Canada. And I'm like, okay, what is going on? And literally from that moment on, I had no idea what was going on and no one would tell me what was going on. They threw me in a jail cell with about five other girls, like this tiny little cell. It was freezing cold and I was detained in there for 48 hours.
Flightless Bird
Deported
I slept on the cement floor on this tiny mat with aluminum foil over my body. Like it looked like there was a bunch of dead bodies in there. And it wasn't until day three when I was allowed to talk, make a phone call.
Flightless Bird
Deported
Like completely cut off. And I'm telling you, those days, those first days were the worst days because you're literally just laying there and with no answers. And anytime a guard would come in because they would give you food. I was just, what is going on? And they're like, we're just doing our job.
Flightless Bird
Deported
Honestly, I think I was in such shock that I just tried to sleep and make the time go by faster. I literally just laid on the ground with this thing over my body for two days. So on about day three, after being in the first jail, I was woken up in the middle of the night and they said, you're leaving. And I go, I'm going home. I get to go home. And they're like, I don't know.
Flightless Bird
Deported
I don't know where you're going. And I'm like, okay, great. And then I went downstairs and there was like 10 other girls down there and everyone was crying. But like not happy tears. And I was like, what's going on? And they're like, we're being transferred. And transferred is literally the worst thing. experience in the jail system.
Flightless Bird
Deported
So what that means is you're being transferred to another jail, but the process of that, it took 24 hours and I am not exaggerating. We left at, we got woken up at 2 AM and we didn't go to sleep until 3 AM and we were up that entire time. So they have to take all of you out. They have to process all of you out of that current jail and Then they put us literally in chains.
Flightless Bird
Deported
They wrap chains around your stomach. They handcuff you, strap you to your stomach, handcuffs on your feet. They put us all in this prison van. There was about 60 of us because they brought men with us and drove us to Arizona. So that drive was crazy. probably around five hours. And then when you get to the other jail, they have to process every single one of you.
Flightless Bird
Deported
You have to do everything again, the fingerprints, the interviews, the medical, and they will keep you in holding, which are these
Flightless Bird
Deported
ice boxes these freezing cold ice boxes and you're in there there's no blankets you're there's no food there's no water and then you get placed into this other prison and you're like and it's completely different I was in a jail cell with 30 girls so we shared this a jail cell and
Flightless Bird
Deported
together 30 of us and in that prison you have to start the entire process over of getting your phone set up of getting in contact with people like everything is just like you're starting it literally it's just starting from scratch And this jail, I say, I'm like, this jail made the other one look like the Four Seasons. Like, it was insane. And so then I really started panicking.
Flightless Bird
Deported
The morale was at an all-time low. Women were losing their minds. I wasn't allowed a phone call in this prison because we got one free call, but it had to be an American number. And the only number I had was Canadian.
Flightless Bird
Deported
It it's so hard to even explain what it feels like because you are just in total shock. Like everything just felt like a movie. Nothing felt real. Like I just it was almost like I wasn't even in my body and I was just going with the motions. And the one of them, actually this, I forgot to mention this.
Flightless Bird
Deported
One of the most messed up things that happened to me, this is when I really started panicking, was when I was being interviewed to get placed into prison, I was begging everyone for information. And this man, like one of the officers goes, listen, I don't know your case. You could be here for days.
Flightless Bird
Deported
You could be here for weeks, but you need to mentally prepare yourself right now to be here for months. And then when I did start meeting the other women, I was like, holy shit, Jasmine, you are not allowed to complain about anything because every single woman in there had it a trillion times worse than me. So these were teachers, these were nurses, these were caregivers, like everything.
Flightless Bird
Deported
you name it right so they were all so incredibly lovely mothers and just everyone came together and supported each other there was a pastor in there that gave the most beautiful services and it just like that is what really changed for me and that's truly what got me through it And just made me so incredibly grateful for my situation in my life. And I was in there for two weeks.
Flightless Bird
Deported
Like these women had been in there for weeks to months. There was one girl in there who had been there for 10 months.
Flightless Bird
Deported
100%, because like I said in my essay, to put things in perspective. I'm Canadian. I have a Canadian passport. I'm white. I have resources. I had lawyers. I had politicians. I had media. And it still took me two weeks to get out of there. Can you even possibly imagine what everyone else is going through? So now I'm like, what am I going to do?
Flightless Bird
Deported
thank God there was this weird tablet thing attached to a wall that we figured out. And then we were able to send emails through that. So I, the only, again, remember emails because the only email I knew was my CEO's. Obviously I know my coworkers emails. So I emailed my CEO. I'm like, BJ, you need to get in contact with Brett who was like dealing with my lawyers and
Flightless Bird
Deported
and trying to get me out of there. And I was like, Brit, this place is insane. Like we, I need to, I cannot, I cannot stay here. And so what I said, I'm like, you need to contact the media. Like you need to, you, this people need to know that this is happening. I've never seen anything like this. So what happened is one of the girls ended up giving me her phone.
Flightless Bird
Deported
phone call we were like all in this together so she gave me her phone call and Britt set me up with um this amazing reporter and I was able to do an interview in prison like in my jail cell and then as soon as my story got released um I out of nowhere called my lawyers and they were like Jasmine? Yeah, she's in here. Oh, weird. We weren't aware that she would pay for her flight home.
Flightless Bird
Deported
I'm like, that's bullshit. I literally said from day one, I told every officer, even if they subpoenaed ICE, I had even wrote in this tablet thing requesting to the officer being like, I will pay for a plane. I will charter a plane. Like, get me out of here. Literally get me out of here. And then I was released the next day. Literally, I'm not joking.
Flightless Bird
Deported
Every single woman in there was like doing everything they could to help me get out because they were like, you are only hope and you are our voice. All the women started writing letters to their families because they weren't able to contact them and they were freaking out. So everyone was working like mad. We were all in this together.
Flightless Bird
Deported
And that's why I'm so vocal about this experience, because I literally promised every single one of them that I'm going to do everything I can to use my voice and help change this situation. My story is getting out of there. And it's also giving people courage to tell their experiences too, because It's scary, right? A lot of people, one, are just in complete shambles coming out of there.
Flightless Bird
Deported
They don't want to relive and talk about it. Or a lot of women are scared to talk about it because they think they're going to get banned for the rest of their life. There's just so many layers to this where we are programmed to live in fear. And that is their tactic.

Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
So I'll give you a little backstory of how I got into this situation in the first place. So a year ago, I had been offered a job working for a health and wellness company in Los Angeles. So I had originally applied for my TN visa at the Canadian border, which weirdly got denied over a letterhead. They said we weren't professional and we're missing the letterhead.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
And he denied me and said I had to reapply. And obviously super annoying. But I truly didn't think it was that big a deal because you can keep reapplying. And so my lawyer was actually based in San Diego. And he said, Jasmine, just come on down San Diego. We'll go to the San Diego border. I'll come with you to ensure that there are no issues with your paperwork.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
So I ended up going there, went into the immigration office, got my visa within half an hour, and I was working and living in California. So fast forward to about four months ago, I had been traveling back and forth, absolutely no issues until I got stopped. And one of the agents was like, why were you originally denied? And then you went to that border. That seems really shady.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
And I explained my story and he said, well, you're not allowed to process visas there. And I said, well, I'm sorry, I did. Like they did process my visa. My lawyer has been doing this for 20 years. I have many friends that have done it there. And then he said, well, it wasn't processed properly. So it was just like this weird back and forth. And then they took me to secondary.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
It just seemed like they were trying to find anything to revoke my visa. And then as they were going through the company that I was working for, one of the beverages has hemp in it. And he said, you can work for them in Canada, but you're not allowed to work for them in America. And he revoked my visa.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
So I ended up staying in Canada for the next few months and then I didn't want to have to appeal it. I just didn't want to have to deal with any issues moving forward at the border. So I ended up getting another job offer with another health and wellness brand. And I call my lawyer. I'm like, can I just reapply the same way? And he said, yes, of course, you're allowed to reapply.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
Worst thing that can happen is they just deny you like you were the first time. I'm like, okay, great. And because I was so familiar with the office previously, I was like, I'm just going to go back to the office that they gave it to me before. So that was, I guess... three weeks ago now. And so when I entered, I had like 50 pages of my paperwork applying for my TN visa.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
And the woman goes, you're not eligible for this visa. And I said, well, I just had this visa. I was just living in America with this visa. And sure enough, she calls her supervisor. Oh, OK. Yes, you are. You are eligible for this visa. And then they accepted my visa. And then while they were processing my visa, they were just going back and forth.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
And they're like, oh, your passport is going to expire in a couple of years. And I'm like, well, can I just because the visa I was applying for was three years. And she said, I'm like, well, can you just give me this visa and then I'll come reapply for the last year? They said yes. And then I went back and sat down and then she called me back over and she said, I'm so sorry, but we messed up.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
Because you had a denial and because you had your visa voided, you need to apply for your visa through the consulate. And I said, no one has ever told me that. My lawyers did not know that. I'm sorry. I will go do that. And she goes, you didn't do anything wrong. You're not in trouble. You're not a criminal.

And that was a really weird thing that she said, because I'm like, of course, I'm not a criminal. And she goes, but we have to send you back to Canada. And in my head, I was like, okay, I was planning on going back anyway. And I sat down and I started looking at flights. And then next thing you know, this man comes out and he said, Jasmine, can you please come with me? And I followed him.

And they ripped my stuff out from my hands. They took my cell phone. They put me up against the wall. This woman started patting me down. They ripped off my shoes, ripped out my shoelaces. And I got put into a jail cell for 48 hours. And that's where my journey begins.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
So right before I was put into the cell, they said, who do you want us to contact? And I gave them my best friend's phone number. And then every single time I asked an officer, they said... I don't know. We're not on your case. We're not with ICE. We're just doing what we're told. So I wasn't able to talk to anyone until the third day.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
So then on the third day, they took me out and I sat down with this officer and they told me, you are being banned for five years. Sign here, sign here, sign here. You are allowed to apply, like to appeal this ban and we need to detain you and you are going to be sent back to Canada. And I said, when is that going to be? And they said, I don't know.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
And that is literally what I was told over and over and over. I don't know. And then from there, I was placed into a real prison. And then I spent almost two weeks in two different prisons, actually.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
So that so that was in what I'm like, I've learned all the prison lingo now. Yeah. The first few days, they call it holding. So I was put in a small, freezing cold jail cell on this tiny mat, sleeping on the cement. And they don't give you pillows or blankets. They give you this weird aluminum sheet that wraps over your body like a dead body. And there are about five other girls in there.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
And then on the third day, that's when they process you into prison. So it's a full day of fingerprints, interviews, medical, psychological tests. And you're sitting in a jail cell in between those. It's freezing cold. They made us shower and change into the prison outfit. So then you're sitting in this prison cell with wet hair.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
And then late at night, they put me into the prison where it's literally like the movies, like two levels, rows of cells, common area in the middle. And that was in San Diego.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
You know what? It's so weird because when I got out of there, it just felt like... I'm like, did that even just happen? Because when you're put into this system, you're in fight or flight. I think, honestly, I just went into shock. I tried to just sleep. I'm like, I'm not going to be in here long. Let's just sleep this through. And I meditated.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
And then when I got into the real... Okay, actually, I'll tell you this story. So before I was placed into real jail, I was begging anyone to give me answers. And one of the officers goes to me. He's like, listen, I don't know your case. You could be in here for days. You could be in here for weeks. But you need to prepare yourself mentally right now to be in here for months.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
So that can you imagine someone saying that to you? That is when I started like having serious, serious panic and anxiety. And then when I got placed into real prison, I kind of like I was in shock still barely slept. And I think I just like I didn't leave myself for the first day because I was just in utter disillusion of what was going on.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
And so it was, I think on the third day from the original jail and I got woken up at 3 AM and the guard was like, Pack your bags. You're leaving. And in my head, I was like, oh, my God, finally, I get to go home. And then I went downstairs and there was about 10 other girls standing there and everyone was crying, but like not happy tears. And that's when I learned about the term transfer.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
So that process is one of the worst experiences of the entire duration of my stay. What they do is they have to transfer you out of the jail. So you're put back into the holding cells. You have to change into your clothes that you came in. And there was about 10 girls and like 50 guys. And they have to go through every single person, transfer them out. And then we were put in chains.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
So what they do is they put chains around your waist. They put handcuffs on your hands that are attached to your waist and handcuffs on your feet. And they loaded us all into this big prison bus. And then drove us from San Diego to Arizona. So you're in chains for about five hours. And then once you get to the prison, they have to do the entire onboarding process again.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
So you have to go through medical tests, psychological tests, fingerprints. By the time we actually got to our cell, it was exactly 24 hours and you do not sleep the whole time.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
That is when Morrell was at an all-time low walking into that. So they put 30 of us into one jail cell. There's no daylight. The beds were missing sheets. There's no pillows. Each person had one blanket. It was freezing cold. They had nothing to do in there. And I wasn't allowed a phone call in that jail. There's no commissary. There's no phone call.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
They gave us one plastic spoon, one styrofoam cup that we had to reuse for every single meal. The food was not food. The bathrooms are just like 30 people sharing this open bathrooms, like toilets and showers. It was insane. Honestly, I could not. I couldn't believe it. And that's when I really started freaking out again. And that's when my friends and I really like, how do I get out of here?
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
Um, so my entire stay, I was not talked to once by an officer about my case. I had no idea how long I was going to be in there. There was no answers from anyone I had requested at the previous jail. There's these like little tablets that they give you, um, if you want to request something. So I requested to speak to my ice officer. I told them that I would pay for my flight home. Um,
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
Please just give me any answers. I need information for my lawyer that I was giving my friends. And then what happened at the second jail, there was another like weird tablet on the wall that we figured out how to use. And I thank God was able to use email.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
So I actually, one little tip, memorize phone numbers and memorize emails because you don't realize that you don't know anyone's information until you're in a situation like this. So I ended up emailing my CEO who then got in contact with my friend. And so my friend and I were emailing back and forth and I was like,
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
You need to contact the media because she had already been working with the lawyers, with my family, with friends, with resources, and nothing was happening. So I was like, I cannot be in here. Contact the media. So what ended up happening is, of course, like you become friends with everyone in the cell and everyone knew each other's stories.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
And so one of the girls ended up giving me her call that she was she had been in there for a while. So she was able to use calls. And so she gave me her call and I called my friend who then got me in contact with a reporter. And then the second that my story came out, I called my lawyer and was like, Jasmine, yeah, yeah. Oh, she's here. We weren't aware that she would pay for her own flight home.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
No problem. We're going to get her out right away. And then I was released the next day. And when I was released, they transferred me back to San Diego. So I had to do that whole transfer process twice in the five hour chain ride. And then I got to go home.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
No, you know, it's funny. So when I was at the airport, I had two officers that were actually extremely kind and they looked through all of my files and all of my paperwork and they couldn't even quite understand what was going on there. Like, there's no notes. It's so vague. You need to appeal this. And then finally,
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
they told my lawyer that I didn't have proper documents or I don't even know what they said, but it really just didn't make sense. And the fact that I told them that I would pay for my flight the second I got there I've had many lawyers reach out to me because stuff like this is happening a lot right now and they don't understand what's going on. And so I truly don't have the answers.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
I don't. I've been asked that a lot. I'm just really trying to get my bearings right now and trying to get a grasp of everything that's happened. I'm definitely going to be appealing my ban because five years is insane. But right now, I'm just really trying to be a voice for what is happening in there because a lot of people are scared to talk about what is happening.
Pod Save America
Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
And, or they're just so traumatized. Like I had this lawyer call me a couple of days ago and he's like, I cannot believe how well you're handling this. He's like, I've grown men that were in there for three days and they are in absolute shambles. It's like when you're in there, everything that they do is meant to break you, like truly break you.

Trump 2.0's Biggest Scandal Yet
So I tell a lot of people this. If this happened to me a year ago, I would not be talking to you right now. I would be in absolute shambles. I've been through a lot in my life and I've done a ton of healing work in the past year. And I am very spiritual. I meditate. I pray. I am extremely healthy. And literally just like a month before this happened, I was attacked and robbed in Guatemala.
