Ich denke, Anchorage in Alaska wäre ein guter Ort für jemanden wie Israel Keys, wo er kommen könnte und keine Leute auf ihn schauen oder fragen, worauf er sich interessiert. Die Leute lassen sich einander alleine. Auch wenn Anchorage die größte Stadt in Alaska ist, ist es eine kleine Stadt mitten in einer riesigen Wildnis. Und es bleibt wirklich primitiver, wilder.

I employed Israel Keys in 2008 and 2009. He built essentially a 2000 square foot building, you know, raising the walls, putting on the roof, the rafters, everything. All by himself, which I thought was, you know, a pretty impressive thing to do. He was super reliable. He did what he would say that he would do. He would speak to us, you know, just very, very openly about taking a trip.

He'd say, hey, I have some travel plan. I'm gonna be gone from this date to this date. It was always out front and open. So you start to think that at the very same time that he was at our house working for us, he was taking trips, he was killing people. And he was hiding it perfectly and absolutely and it's impossible to really reconcile. Who was this guy? What was going on inside him?
