They have been released from Romanian custody. where they continue to be under investigation for sex trafficking and money laundering. The Tates deny the charges.

They're also suing an accuser, reportedly a woman from Florida, claiming she defamed them. But now Florida Attorney General James Uthmeyer is executing warrants and issuing subpoenas in what he calls an ongoing investigation of the Tate brothers, and in which Uthmeyer claims victims are coming forward, some of whom are minors.
