Anemia is the lack of red blood cells. When we say anemia, most people assume it means low iron, but that's because iron deficiency anemia is the commonest cause of anemia worldwide.

But there's many types of anemia, and having anemia means you don't have enough red blood cells, so you don't have enough of what carries oxygen around your body, and so you're going to have low energy levels, and you're not going to be able to do the things that other people have the energy to do.
