I mean, I actually read a Gore book when I was probably 20. I was bored one night and I picked it up and I thought, whoa, this is really interesting. The vibe of the cover was kind of sexy.

A few years later, when I finally did hook up with the BDSM world, there were Gorians among us who took various handles straight out of the novel. It was more about obedience and women serving the will of their master.

I do believe that Gorians, just like other BDSMers, are very choosy and careful about who they give power to, and they reserve power for their masters. If you have two really good people who really are compatible, that's going to be fine. But if you are with somebody who is... flawed or has mental health issues or is actually really a troubled person it could be quite dangerous
