No, I never did walk on the trail, not at that time. I just kind of walked up to the edge of the woods and then I heard someone coming. I heard a vehicle coming, so I walked back down the hill and around the edge of my driveway.

Sometimes people said this to my face, you know, if I had been that brother, I would have went out there, you know, I would have done something well, but they don't understand.

I just wish I had known more. I wish I had known that the neighbor called mom at school. I wished I had known that the neighbor heard a scream. I wished I had known that Drew was turkey hunting in Bass Springs. If I had known what was really occurring, I would have certainly reacted totally differently.

Well, the main thing is that I just, like I told you, I don't want them, I mean, I'm not offended by it, I just want to make sure that everybody is, you know, is... Well, it really was looked at kind of the same way. Absolutely.

I heard something this morning about Clint was there and he Or he saw it and he didn't do anything about it. And stuff like that is just bothering me.

No, I mean, I don't feel responsible for anything that's happened, but I feel like, I mean, I could have grabbed a gun and shot that person.

Yeah, no idea who it was.

And then that's when I called Mom and asked her, is Holly out of school today? And she said, no, she's supposed to be at school. I said, well, her car is here. Did somebody pick her up? My mom automatically, no, somebody's taking her. She just went into the panic mode right then after I told her her car is still here. She said, oh my God, you know, call 911, something's happened.

But I didn't right away. Just that being me, I just didn't do it right away because I wasn't convinced yet that anything. I went over to the window, the only window that leads into our garage where Holly parks her Mustang. And I could see like the silhouette sort of the corner of two people's shirts sitting there. And they were just sitting there talking.

Well, I woke up, heard our little house dog named Rascal, and I heard him barking. And his barking is initially, I believe, what woke me up. But I was able to fall back asleep.

So that was a little bit unusual. I thought that enough time had passed that whoever was there, you know, whatever, had time to check the meter or deliver the package and then leave or if it was someone driving by. But he just continued to bark, so I decided to get up, you know, to see what he was barking at.

So I listened just briefly and I could tell it was a male and a female voice.

And then... I believe it was at that point that I had raised up the blinds slightly, and I could see a silhouette of what looked to be Holly and a man dressed in camouflage. Well, I expected Drew to be dressed in camouflage because Drew and I had talked the night before, and he told me he was going turkey hunting that morning.

She said, that's not Drew. Clint, get a gun and shoot him. And I said, so you want me to shoot Drew? And I think that's when she hung, she must have hung the phone up again.

How did your mom look when she showed up? Very panicked. She was very painful. I remember her coming up to me and shaking me, and she said, Clint, why didn't you do something? To be honest, I'm expecting Holly and Richie to come back to the house, and Holly's going to be so mad at me because I've called 911, the police. We've made such a big deal out of nothing.
