You know, the shame and guilt and anyone who has faced any sort of sexual assault or any kind of abuse understands that shame and guilt are a part of it because you think to yourself, I could have done more. I should have done more. I should have done this. And not that you believe you deserved it, but you believe that you could have done something to stop it or change it.
