As quickly as possible, you need to move from this being your calling and a question of like your identity. Like when you first start in this journey, there's a lot of questions for yourself and from other people about whether you can do it and whether you're good enough or whether you're qualified or whether or not you have enough technique or any of those sorts of questions.

All of that's very incredibly heavy, right? It's just it's really very emotional and takes a toll on everyone who decides that this is the work that they want to do.

It took me a long time to realize that this was my profession. And I think the sooner you can turn this into your job and a thing that you can get good at, it's very difficult to decide to be good at becoming the person you hope you could be. That's a it's a pretty big ask.

But if I ask you to become good at a skill, if I ask you to become good at the skill of managing people or to become good at the skill of thinking about strategy in a company or to become reasonably facile with finance or with any of the hundreds of things you have to do in order to run a startup, those are jobs you can learn how to do enough of and become good enough at that they can become your vocation.
