Millions of Americans are under alert for compromised air quality this weekend. The culprit? Out-of-control wildfires ravaging the forests of the Canadian province of Manitoba. Canadian wildfires have forced 25,000 residents to be evacuated from their homes as the province of Manitoba declared a state of emergency last week. Evacuations continued over the weekend, with the blazes in largely remote areas. The impact has also spread to some U.S. states.

Kharkiv is one of the largest cities in Ukraine and is located about 20 miles from the Russian border. About 1,000 people are being forced from their homes by spreading wildfires in the Canadian province of Manitoba, which is already under a state of emergency. As Dan Karpinchuk reports, in all, some 19,000 people have been displaced over the past few weeks.
