Verse 26 and 27 say, He uses this fact to urge them to hold fast to their faith and not try to turn to other solutions because other solutions don't exist. He says, If we disregard what we know of Christ and just do our own thing, then we try to look to anyone or anything but Christ to pay for our sins.
