American Alchemy

Martin Shkreli on Life in Prison, Pharma, UFO’s

Sat, 05 Oct 2024

Description

Martin Shkreli is America’s most hated pharma bro. In 2015 he bought daraprim which treats HIV and AIDS induced toxoplasmosis and raised the price dramatically. When questioned, he trolled reporters and the public, while actually accommodating a large majority of requests that needed the drug more cheaply. In doing this, he exposed behavior engaged in constantly by big pharma. In this episode, we talk heterodox health, biology and general science.
