And if my HomeKit stuff gets messed up somehow, which it currently isn't because it's very limited, but if it did get messed up, it wouldn't affect the cameras because they're a separate system. So you get independent fault domains if you don't have them as one system. So there's trade-offs, upsides and downsides.
