It's probably been two months since I've spoken to Senator McConnell.

I certainly haven't spoken to him since he had his accident, but I have spoken to staff.

I actually spoke to his staff again today uh in anticipation of this question because I was asked this question at a press conference last week and I said it and it got a lot of press all over the United States.

So I wanted to make sure uh what I said was right, and what I'm gonna say now is that they uh

Uh fully expect him uh to to be back in the Senate in September that he's uh undergoing fiscal therapy.

So I have not spoken to Senator McConnell, but I do speak to his staff, uh many of whom are from my congressional district.

So I certainly hope to see him in uh the Senate in the next couple of weeks when they come back.

And uh hopefully if he's not th there'll be a a reason why and the Senator will be able to explain that to me.

I've been told by the staff they expect him to be back in the Senate in September.

So I I sure hope that's an accurate statement.

That's what the the staff told me.

I've n uh worked very closely with them over the past nine and a half years and they've never once lied to me, so I have confidence of that.

And uh I I'm I'm hopeful to see him because uh, you know, he's uh he's he's been a a big presence in Kentucky for a long time.

He's wrapping it up.

He's not going to have many more days left in in Congress, so hopefully he'll he'll be back in a few weeks.
